Sept. 24, 2026: Trump and Netanyahu at the UN, ShinyHunters hacks the FBI, and 'ICE out of New Brunswick'

WRSU recaps the latest from the U.N. General Assembly, including President Donald Trump’s remarks on Iran and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s comments on the war in Gaza and Israel’s strikes on Iran, notably denying U.N. allegations of war crimes in the region. Breaking during the show, ShinyHunters claims hacked an FBI careers website, bringing a Rutgers connection after the group’s Canvas hack during finals season earlier this year. WRSU's Adam Kaplan reports on a vigil for Palestinian families outside of the College Avenue Student Center, and WRSU's Nina Davis reports on an anti-ICE march at the Yard on College Avenue. National headlines also include a federal court order restoring White House press access to CNN, MS NOW and Politico, the detention of a Kentucky State women’s basketball player by ICE, and deaths of Ole Miss students linked to kratom use, while Macklemore announces a new “Free Palestine” concert tour. In this week's edition of "Malihi Mayhem," KFC plans to compete with Bojangles and Raising Cane's by opening up a test lab restaurant in Texas with new boba and fried green beans, much to Davis' chagrin. In New Jersey, Republican groups sue over voter-roll records, crews respond to a major Newark water main break, and WRSU's Sofia Velez, Tanner Stein and Ayami Gemino report from the New Jersey Hall of Fame at the American Dream Mall.
