Did the Supreme Court Create the Sexual Revolution? | Jeff Shafer

For more than half a century, the American family has undergone a profound transformation. Marriage, parenthood, sexuality, and even the meaning of liberty have been redefined; not merely by changing cultural attitudes, but through a series of landmark judicial decisions. In this episode of Kings & Statesmen, Lennox Kalifungwa and David Shepard are joined by Jeff Shafer to trace the legal story behind America’s Sexual Revolution. Beginning with Griswold v. Connecticut (1965) and continuing through Loving v. Virginia, Eisenstadt v. Baird, Roe v. Wade, Planned Parenthood v. Casey, Obergefell v. Hodges, and Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, they explore how constitutional interpretation reshaped the legal understanding of marriage, family, personhood, and individual liberty. Together they examine questions that continue to shape American law and public life: Did the law merely reflect cultural change, or did it help create it? What role did the Supreme Court play in the Sexual Revolution? How did the Court’s understanding of privacy and liberty evolve over time? What is the relationship between constitutional interpretation, natural law, and the family? What legal and cultural challenges lie ahead in debates over IVF, surrogacy, and the future of parenthood? This conversation offers a historical and constitutional examination of some of the most consequential Supreme Court decisions in modern American history and considers their lasting implications for law, politics, and Western civilization. Liberalism's Assault on Young Men | Joshua Haymes & Ben Zeisloft

Liberalism and secularism have left a long shadow—one measured not merely in ideas, but in generations. As feminism, globalism, socialism, and various strains of Marxism have come to dominate the public square, young men have increasingly found themselves demonized, disinherited, and discarded. The consequences are stark. Nearly two-thirds of Gen Z never made it out of the womb. Property ownership feels like a vanishing privilege. Culture itself has been flattened, blurred, and rendered androgynous. But something is shifting. Young men are waking up—disillusioned with the slogans, weary of the decay, and done with the pretense. In its place, there is a growing recognition of the necessity of masculinity, order, and even religion. Reports now suggest a renewed interest among young men in church attendance and in recovering something older, sturdier, and more rooted. Enter the controversy: Christian Nationalism. Once dismissed outright, it is now being reconsidered—especially by those seeking to resist the cultural unraveling and rebuild what has been lost. To explore this resurgence, Lennox Kalifungwa is joined by Joshua Haymes and Ben Zeisloft for a candid, provocative, and invigorating conversation.
