BASKETBALL WAS SAVED, the Finals & Stanley Cup are set, SGA Exposed & Champs League | Full Episode 17

The NBA Finals are officially set, and somehow the basketball gods gave us exactly what they wanted: Knicks vs. Spurs, a rematch of the 1999 NBA Finals and the NBA Cup Final all rolled into one. This week, we break down how New York finally punched its ticket back to the Finals for the first time in 27 years, whether Jalen Brunson is already the greatest Knick of all time, and what the Knicks need to do to bring a championship back to Madison Square Garden. On the other side, the Spurs survived a seven-game war with Oklahoma City as Victor Wembanyama and San Antonio continue one of the most improbable runs in recent memory. We discuss SGA's shocking drop-off after winning MVP, Chet Holmgren becoming public enemy number one on the show, and whether the NBA Cup suddenly carries more legitimacy now that its two finalists are meeting again on basketball's biggest stage. Beyond the hardwood, we react to Arsenal's heartbreaking Champions League collapse, preview a Stanley Cup Final showdown between Vegas and Carolina, debate the best ballpark experience in baseball, discuss MLB's proposed salary cap battle that could change the sport forever, and laugh at the Yankees scoring 13 runs in one inning before completely forgetting how to score again. Plus, Luke Kornet earns an "About It," Daryl Morey lands in "Not About It," we spotlight French Open breakout star Moise Kouamé, and wrap things up with random thoughts on horror movies and hotel smells.

We also dive into Drake’s ICEMAN era after dropping three new projects, why people are confusing first impressions with actual reviews, and whether Drake gets held to completely different standards than every other artist in music. The second half of the episode features the FIRST EVER Hillside Clubhouse Call-In segment as huge Yankees and Mets fan Jacob joins the show to break down the Subway Series, the Mets potentially turning their season around, and whether the Yankees’ yearly June swoon might already be arriving early.
