    Remember LimeWire, Napster, six-disc CD changers and rewinding cassette tapes with a pencil? This week on Mic Warning, Derek and Keelan look back at the technology we grew up with — and somehow end up asking whether streaming services like Netflix and Prime Video have just reinvented cable. LimeWire viruses, dial-up internet, buying an entire album for one song, CDs in the car, lost digital photos, streaming subscriptions, ads and the good old days when Netflix mailed DVDs — technology has made everything easier, but we're not convinced it made everything better. We also get into a ridiculous Kananaskis golf trip, moldy yogurt and Powerade, Michael Peña movies, the comments correcting us, and another round of trivia that immediately proves why you should never assume we know what we're talking about. We also missed Canada Day and the Fourth of July like professionals, complained about 11:30 fireworks, and tried to figure out what happens if an electric self-driving taxi eats an explosion. Then the episode wandered into our first YouTube Shorts, Spotify doing nothing for us, Vietnam randomly running up our stats, Red Deer being number one for petty crime, Sylvan go-karts charging by the minute, Jersey Mike’s having a lineup, and trivia where Barbie’s full name and Godzilla’s roar caused problems.     #43 - June Monsoon and The Mosquito Apocalypse

    June monsoon showed up in Alberta and the mosquitoes started acting like they own the place. We talk lawn-cutting in DEET, the kind of thunderstorm that shakes the house at 1 a.m., a dog needing emotional support, and our second video episode making us forget what hands are for. Then it turns into river-flood flashbacks, a guy leaning on a guardrail who may or may not be okay, fireworks going sideways, thunder versus lightning, and a trivia run where 2 or 3 out of 10 counts as surviving.
