In October 2022, Shanquella set out on what was supposed to be a fun trip to Mexico with a group of friends. Less than 24 hours later, she would be found dead. Her friends initially explained the death was due to alcohol poisoning, but eventually, a much more sinister truth would be revealed. A horrifying video of Shanquella being brutally assaulted went viral, and everything changed. Infuriatingly, even though this video shows the assault on Shanquella before her death, and the perpetrator, no justice has been served.
