That's How Long It Actually Takes: The Case Against Shorter Programs with Ciara Waterfield

A lot of wellness advice still sells a highlight reel: quick mindset shifts, neat timelines, and tidy “after” photos. We go the other direction and talk about what self-love looks like when it’s built from the inside out, through anxiety, body disconnection, and the messy middle of becoming who you actually are. Our guest, Ciara Waterfield, went from training as a professional actress to navigating a spiritual and mental health breakdown that included chronic anxiety, intrusive thoughts, and suicidal depression. She shares the exact patterns that showed up in relationships, like codependency and people pleasing, and why those behaviors are often nervous system survival responses rather than character flaws. We also dig into the most underrated tool in personal development: awareness, and how creating a small buffer of quiet can change the trajectory of your life. Then we shift into the business of healing work. Ciara explains how she designs her coaching offers as an ecosystem with multiple entry points and one connected methodology, from mini masterclasses to her six-month “Dating Your Soul” container. If you’re a female wellness entrepreneur trying to build sustainable offers, ethical marketing, and real client transformation, you’ll take away a clearer way to structure support around integration, embodiment, and community. If this conversation resonates, subscribe, share it with a friend who needs a softer way forward, and leave a review so more women can find it. Testimonials are NOT neutral | how to use them to get more sales

A single line on your testimonial page can cost you sales, even when it’s meant as a compliment. We’ve both seen it: a happy client writes something glowing, then slips in a phrase like “the cost was basically nothing,” and suddenly your website is telling every future buyer your work is worth close to zero. That’s the hidden danger of testimonials. Once you publish them, they stop being casual praise and start acting like public pricing signals. We break down why testimonials are never neutral and how vague feedback can reinforce underpricing and shaky value perception. Then we walk through a practical fix you can use today: stop asking for generic “a few words,” and start prompting clients with a simple before, during, after structure that captures the real story of the transformation. We also talk about what makes testimonials convert, including specific numbers, concrete symptoms, and clear outcomes that feel believable to a passive viewer scanning your site. We also give you permission to do the thing most people avoid: ask to adjust the language. If a testimonial is almost there but includes wording that undersells you, you can request to tighten it up while keeping the meaning the same. To close, we’ll push you to audit every place testimonials live, from your website to LinkedIn and Instagram, so your social proof consistently supports the value you deliver. If you want a deeper look at where else your business might be working against you, grab the free Empire Gap quiz linked in the show notes. Subscribe, share this with a friend who’s underpricing, and leave a review so more people can stop letting “nice” testimonials shrink their value. Perimenopause, Brain Fog, and Running a Business You Can Still Show Up For | Rebecca Henwood

Menopause can feel like your body turned the volume up overnight and nobody handed you the manual. Rebecca Henwood joins us to talk about what’s really going on beneath the symptoms, not just hormones, but nervous system regulation, safety, and the daily practices that help you stay steady when life gets unpredictable.  Bec has taught yoga for 15+ years, and she shares why somatic breathwork became the missing layer for her own healing and for the women she supports. We get practical about breath tools you can use in the moment, including slow nose breathing for calming, box breathing for acute stress, breath holds, and alternate nostril breathing for balance and focus. She also explains why a simple 15-minute daily practice can be more life-changing than waiting for the “perfect” long session.  We also talk candidly about perimenopause and menopause symptoms like brain fog and the emotional edge that can show up when estrogen drops, plus how Beck navigates natural therapies and a half dose of HRT after plenty of trial and error. One of the most eye-opening parts is the contrast with Japanese menopause culture, from nutrition habits to the way older women are viewed as wise rather than “past it.” Finally, we dig into a growing shift Beck sees: men asking how to show up as supportive partners and coworkers so women can soften, feel safe, and stop carrying everything alone.  If you’re building a business, raising a family, or simply trying to feel like yourself again, this conversation will leave you with tools you can actually use today. Subscribe, share this with a friend who needs it, and leave a review so more women find the support they deserve. An MD Confirms It: Holistic Nutritionists Are Non-Negotiable on Every Care Team | Dr. Alexia Soteropoulos

If you’re crushing it on paper but dragging yourself through the day, this conversation is for you. We sit down with Dr. Alexia Soteropoulos, an integrative and functional medicine physician and founder of Onesoma Integrative Wellness, to unpack why so many high-achieving women feel exhausted, foggy, inflamed, and frustrated by “nothing’s wrong” answers. Alexia shares her personal story of growing up with debilitating symptoms, seeing specialist after specialist, and finally feeling heard when someone looked for root causes instead of managing symptoms. That experience shaped how she practices today and why she chose to step outside the conventional system. We get honest about what medical training often prioritizes, why chronic conditions are frequently managed rather than resolved, and how lifestyle medicine, functional lab testing, nutrition, sleep, and stress regulation can change outcomes. We also go tactical. We break down the top concerns Alexia sees in driven women (fatigue, brain fog, hormonal and metabolic changes like stubborn belly fat), plus small daily shifts that actually fit real schedules. Then we zoom in on women’s health: why “women are not small men,” how understanding your menstrual cycle can be liberating, and how trend habits like fasting and cold exposure can help or hurt depending on timing, nervous system state, and life stage. If you’re a holistic nutritionist, you’ll leave with a stronger sense of why your role is non negotiable on an integrative care team and how to collaborate with MDs with clarity and confidence. Subscribe for more unfiltered conversations about ambition, money, and ownership, then share this with a friend who’s running on fumes and leave a quick five-star review. The $250 Package Problem: Why Holistic Nutritionists Won't Stop Underpricing

$250 for three months of skilled, transformational nutrition coaching is not “a competitive offer.” It’s a belief wearing a price tag, and once you see that, you can finally stop trying to solve a confidence wound with a calculator. We walk through the real reason undercharging is so common in nutrition coaching and health coaching: the profession’s lack of a governing body and regulated title quietly signals “less legitimate,” and that message gets internalized fast. When that external devaluing becomes your own internal story, it shows up in predictable ways: pricing against the nutritionist down the road, freezing when someone asks about your rates, discounting in DMs, tossing in extra sessions for free, and feeling guilt that leaks into every sales conversation. Then we get practical. We share a three-part reset for value-based pricing: separate the belief from the number, price against the transformation (energy back, sleep back, life back) instead of the container, and stop treating guilt like a stop sign. If you’ve ever thought, “I know I should charge more, but I can’t make myself do it,” this will help you name what’s actually happening and choose a new way forward. The link to join Sales Confidence is in the show notes. If this hits home, subscribe, share the episode with a practitioner friend, and leave a quick review so more coaches can stop operating from $250 beliefs and start pricing like the professionals they are. Why Undercharging Is Trained Into Healers (And How to Break It) | Natalie Frey

If you’ve ever left a client call feeling drained, over-responsible, or like you’re carrying someone else’s nervous system home with you, this conversation puts language and structure to what’s happening. We talk with Natalie Frey, a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) who specializes in DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) and integrates modalities like EMDR, ACT, inner child work, and schema therapy to help clients reduce anxiety, heal trauma, and build healthier relationships starting with themselves. Natalie shares the lived experience that brought her into mental health work: an early misdiagnosis, years of heavy medication, and the social development she felt she missed until the right assessment finally named ADHD, major depressive disorder, and generalized anxiety disorder. From there we trace her path through community mental health, high acuity treatment settings, and the “learn it the hard way” leadership experiences that built clinical skill and business confidence. Then we get practical. Natalie breaks down DBT as acceptance and change, and explains the four DBT modules: mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. We also dig into boundaries with high needs clients, why “you can’t work harder than the client” is a kindness, and how safety plans and cope-ahead plans reduce after-hours dependence. If you’re a therapist, coach, nutritionist, or wellness entrepreneur, you’ll walk away with clearer ethical boundaries and better language for protecting your energy while still delivering powerful care. If you found this helpful, subscribe, share it with a friend who overgives, and leave a review so more clinicians and wellness business owners can find it. Why You're an Influencer, Not a CEO

You can post every day, grow a following, and still be building someone else’s business. That’s the uncomfortable truth we unpack as we name the two lanes almost nobody says out loud: the influencer path and the CEO path. From the outside they can look the same, but underneath they run on totally different foundations. One depends on borrowed offers, borrowed credibility, and rules you don’t control. The other is built on ownership, intellectual property, and a business that can actually scale. We talk candidly about why affiliate marketing, referral programs, and network marketing can feel safe while quietly capping your growth. Low risk can also mean a low ceiling, and that ceiling often shows up when you can least afford it: an Instagram algorithm shift, a change in affiliate terms, or a company pivot that leaves you with years of work tied to someone else’s decisions. If you’re a holistic nutritionist or wellness entrepreneur who wants stability, impact, and real leverage, the goal is simple: build what you own. We make it practical with three moves you can take right away. First, run an ownership audit with two lists: what you promote versus what you own. Second, name the method you already use with clients so it becomes your teachable, sellable framework. Third, ask the platform question: if Instagram disappeared tomorrow, would your business still exist? Then we share how we approach ecosystem building inside Ignite, including the September cohort and current enrollment options. If you’re ready to stop renting and start owning, listen now, share this with a friend who needs the push, and leave a review so more women in wellness can find it. She Uses Human Design to Build Brands That Make People Say "I Need to Work With Her" | Carolyn Williamson

Your brand can look beautiful and still feel wrong. That disconnect is what we unpack with Carolyn Williamson, founder of With the Seasons Studio, a conscious branding and web design studio for heart-led entrepreneurs who want their online presence to feel like home, not a costume. We get honest about the moments that force reinvention, including postpartum anxiety, the identity shift of motherhood, and the quiet signals your body sends when your work is no longer aligned.  Carolyn shares how she went from pediatric nursing into entrepreneurship, then followed the breadcrumbs from coaching to design when she realized the visual storytelling side lit her up. From there, we dig into what “modern branding” actually means: building a brand that people can feel, not just recognize. She explains how she uses human design as a practical framework for branding decisions, including energy type, strategy, and authority, plus her signature approach of weaving a client’s conscious sun gate into visual identity choices so the brand reflects the gift they’re here to share.  We also talk about why one-size-fits-all marketing can drain you, how human design can validate a more sustainable rhythm, and why first impressions often happen before anyone reads your copy. If you’ve ever tried to Pinterest your way into a brand and ended up thinking “this isn’t me,” this conversation offers a clearer path forward. Subscribe for more unfiltered conversations on ambition, money, and ownership, and if this helped, share it with a founder friend and leave a review.
