    The Cost of Being Seen: Visibility Doesn’t Mean Access

    Being visible online doesn’t mean being available to everyone. In this episode of Kerah Speaks, I’m talking about the cost of visibility, parasocial relationships, and maintaining personal boundaries as a content creator. Showing up is part of building a platform—even when you’re tired. But what happens when people connect with your words and begin to feel they know you personally? Sometimes, you articulate something someone hasn’t been able to express. They see themselves in what you share and want to get closer. But feeling connected to someone’s content and building a reciprocal relationship with them require different things. I reflect on: • The pressure to stay visible while honoring your capacity. • The difference between appreciating someone and having personal access to them. • Looking within when a creator feels like a mirror. • Whether we can reciprocate the depth we’re drawn to. • Protecting the relationships we’ve already cultivated. I’m intentional about creating a safe space on my platform. That doesn’t mean opening my personal life to everyone. Giving too much of myself has cost too much, and I’m choosing to honor my limits.     10 Questions You Should Ask Yourself After a Relationship Ends

    What if the way you see a relationship after it ends is different from how you saw it while you were living through it? In this episode of Kerah Speaks, we're looking at relationships in hindsight: the good, the hurt, the unmet needs, the communication, the accountability, and the things distance allows us to understand differently. I'm asking 10 questions that may help you reflect on a relationship that's no longer in your life, not to blame yourself or the other person, and not to rewrite the ending, but to understand what the experience taught you. Did the relationship actually fail, or did it simply end? Would you still choose each other if you met as the people you are today? And what can you appreciate, acknowledge, and take accountability for without needing the ending to be different? Sometimes healing isn't finally figuring out exactly why something ended.     Why Do We Choose Things We KNOW Aren’t Good for Us?

    Why do we keep choosing things we know aren’t good for us? I recently found myself frustrated watching someone I care about make decisions that didn’t seem to align with what they said they wanted for their life. And then I had to turn the mirror back on myself: I’ve done the exact same thing. I’ve chosen instant gratification while knowing it wasn’t taking me where I wanted to go. I’ve stayed connected to things that felt good in the moment even when they didn’t align with what I wanted long-term. And that realization challenged something in me: Bad decisions don’t automatically equal poor character. Sometimes they simply reveal our humanity. In this episode of Kerah Speaks, I’m talking about our different emotional operating systems—why something that feels draining and pointless to one person can feel exciting, comforting, or stimulating to another. I’m also exploring the difference between knowing better and actually having the capacity, desire, or readiness to choose differently. Maybe the better question isn’t: “You know better, so why are you doing this?” Maybe it’s: “What is this giving you right now that’s powerful enough to compete with what you say you want later?” This conversation is about self-awareness, instant gratification, alignment, judgment, accountability, and learning to extend the same humanity to other people that we give ourselves. 💬 Reflection question: What have you continued choosing even though you knew it wasn’t taking you where you ultimately wanted to go?     You Wanted Them Back… Until You Healed

    Sometimes healing means accepting that not everyone gets access to the version of you that exists now. There was a time when I held onto relationships because of their possibility. I kept trying to extract clarity from ambiguity, believing that if I stayed longer, explained myself better, adjusted enough, or made myself smaller, eventually I would get the relationship I believed was underneath it all. But eventually, I had to stop looking at what could be and start accepting the evidence of what people actually chose to do. In this episode of Kerah Speaks, I’m talking about closing the door for good—not from anger, bitterness, or revenge, but from a healed place. We’re talking about the difference between regret, accountability, and transformation, why time alone doesn’t repair relationships, the emotional labor of helping someone process why they lost you, and learning to create your own closure when the final conversation never comes. Sometimes you can genuinely wish someone healing, growth, love, and a beautiful life—and still decide: You don’t get to come back. Because forgiveness doesn’t always require reconnection.
