Your Mouth Eventually Reveals Your Source

Send us Fan Mail Some of the most dangerous harm you will ever meet won’t come with shouting or fists, it’ll come wrapped in smooth words. Proverbs 10 repeats a line on purpose: “the mouth of the wicked conceals violence.” We slow down and learn how to spot what’s hiding behind speech that pressures, flatters, divides, or manipulates, and we contrast it with the righteous mouth that becomes “a fountain of life.” If you’ve ever left a conversation feeling strangely drained or strangely at peace, this will give you language for what you’ve been sensing.  We also connect Proverbs to Jesus and the New Testament in a way that gets practical fast. Wisdom is not just memorizing Bible verses or collecting principles; it’s communion with God, with Christ as the wisdom of God. We talk about living water, abiding, and why the same Scripture can either land like life or feel like stagnant performance when it’s spoken without listening to the Father. Discernment starts with the source, because what fills the heart eventually flows out of the mouth.  From there we move into legacy and integrity. Proverbs 10:7 raises a sobering question about what remains after your life is lived: will your memory be blessed like a fragrance, or will your name rot as corruption gets exposed? We tie that to Proverbs 10:8–10 on receiving correction versus babbling pride, and we center it all on Proverbs 10:9: walking in integrity brings security, but crookedness guarantees you will be found out.  If this challenged you, share it with someone who values truth, and subscribe so you don’t miss what’s next. After you listen, leave a review and tell us: where do you see “fountain of life” speech in real life, and where do you see words concealing violence? Wisdom In Real Life

Send us Fan Mail Proverbs can feel like lofty sayings until it starts naming your real life: family tension, money pressure, work habits, and the quiet drift that happens when we stop listening for God’s voice. We pick up at Proverbs 10 where Solomon moves from broad, black-and-white warnings into everyday cause and effect, and suddenly wisdom is not abstract anymore. A single line about a foolish child becoming a grief to his mother opens a hard but honest conversation about how our choices leave a wake behind us and why sin is never “just my business.” From there, we dig into the difference between ill-gotten treasures and righteousness that actually delivers. We talk integrity, shortcuts, and why the Bible uses rescue language when it describes being right with God. That leads into a practical struggle many of us know well: trying to carry too much at once. I share how “seek first the kingdom of God” re-ordered my priorities and released pressure, plus why anxiety makes it harder to hear direction clearly. We also unpack Proverbs 10:3 in a grounded way, distinguishing physical lack from soul hunger, and why Proverbs is often describing the trajectory of a life rather than promising instant comfort. Then we turn to diligence and timing: craving without commitment, staying long enough for roots, and the danger of sleeping through your harvest season when opportunity is right in front of you. If you’ve been wrestling with work, provision, guidance, or the fear of missing your moment, this one gives you language and next steps. Wisdom Or Folly

Send us Fan Mail Two voices are talking to you every day, and Proverbs 9 says you will live with the results of whichever one you follow. We lean into that uncomfortable idea and tighten the focus where it belongs: not your boss, your family, or your past, but you. Wisdom calls with a table already set, offering a steady life built on something stronger than moods and headlines. Folly shouts from the doorway with urgency, secrecy, and the promise of quick relief that always comes with a bill later.  We break down how to hear God’s voice personally and why it can feel less obvious than temptation. Discernment is not magic and it is not just “positive confession.” It is trained by constant practice, learning to recognize what produces peace versus what produces fear, pressure, and anxiety. We connect Solomon’s words to real life stress, from inner battles with the flesh to outer noise like financial strain, war, and the endless demand to make a fast decision.  Along the way, we use Scripture tests that make wisdom practical: the fear of the Lord as the beginning of wisdom, wisdom from above as peaceable and gentle, and folly as boisterous and destructive even when it sounds convincing. If you have been feeling rushed, tormented, or pushed into “quick fixes,” this will help you name the voice and choose a better path. God’s Words Train Your Decisions Better Than Your Eyes Ever Could

Send us Fan Mail Wisdom doesn’t whisper from a hidden corner. Proverbs 8 says she cries out where decisions get made, at intersections, entrances, and the places where the noise of life is the loudest. That image challenged us, because we’ve all stood in the middle of pressure and tried to figure out what God is saying while our natural mind screams, “Work harder, protect yourself, do whatever it takes.”  We walk through the chapter and get specific about the difference between prudence and wisdom. Prudence helps you think ahead and make smart real life decisions. Biblical wisdom goes deeper. It trains your heart, your words, and your will to see life from God’s perspective. That’s where the real fight is: not against God, but against old habits of thinking and the fear driven system that tells you prosperity only comes through stress, manipulation, and nonstop grinding.  Then we bring it home to money and anxiety. We talk about God’s Word as “noble” and kingly, how it produces safety, comfort, and prosperity, and why righteousness is not a stack of rules but a simple line: hear Him, believe Him, act on it. We also connect Proverbs 8’s promise of riches with peace, wisdom’s “resume” going back to creation, and Moses’ prayer in Exodus 33 about favor and being distinguished by God’s presence.  If you want Christian wisdom, biblical prosperity, and a calmer mind without pretending bills aren’t real, press play. Proverbs 7 And The Hidden Steps Into Temptation

Send us Fan Mail You can be disciplined, successful, and sharp, then lose everything through one unguarded door. That is the gut-level urgency behind Proverbs 7, and why Solomon refuses to stop repeating himself. We take his warning seriously and slow down the story, because it reveals something most people miss: the collapse rarely begins with a single reckless moment. It begins earlier, with a street you choose, a place you linger, and a “harmless” step into twilight that keeps getting darker. We talk through how sexual temptation and adultery actually work in real life: flattery, secrecy, spiritual-sounding justification, and the three promises that always show up when you are vulnerable: you deserve this, you won’t get caught, and it won’t cost you anything. Solomon’s insight is blunt and practical for Christian men and anyone trying to live with integrity: you do not win by debating better in the moment, you win by guarding your heart, setting boundaries early, and keeping wisdom close enough to speak when nobody is watching. We also end with hope, not fear. Scripture says temptation is common to mankind, and God is faithful to provide a way out so you can endure. We discuss what that “way out” looks like and why taking it early matters, especially in a culture that normalizes sin, celebrates it, then disappears when the consequences hit. If this helped you, subscribe, share it with a friend who needs Proverbs-level clarity, and leave a review so more people can find it. God Is Not Out To Get You

Send us Fan Mail God “hates” is strong language, and Proverbs 6 does not soften it. We read the passage straight, then slow down to translate it into everyday life: the liar who performs with a smile, the person who spreads strife while pretending to be wise, and the pride that can say everything without speaking a word. If you have ever watched someone’s secret behavior get exposed and their whole plan collapse overnight, Solomon’s warning about sudden calamity will feel uncomfortably real. Then we turn to the seven things the Lord hates, starting with haughty eyes. That first item opens up a bigger question: what do you actually believe about God’s character? A lot of us have absorbed the idea that God is waiting to punish, that hardship must be His plan, or that He teaches by crushing people. But if God hates wicked plans, hates lies, and hates hands that shed innocent blood, why would we pin those motives on Him? From there, we get practical about spiritual growth and Christian living. We talk about humility, receiving correction, and why discipline is not “try harder” energy but guidance that keeps you alive and steady. Whether you’re a parent, a business owner, or just trying to make wise choices, the “way of life” is staying teachable and refusing the know-it-all trap. We close with Proverbs 6’s blunt warning about adultery and consequences that can burn your reputation, finances, and future in an instant. Pressure Is A Sign You Are Moving Forward

Send us Fan Mail Pressure has a way of making everything feel personal. It can sound like failure, anxiety, or proof that you should quit. We push back on that story and use Proverbs 6 to rebuild a clearer, tougher mindset rooted in biblical wisdom and spiritual discipline.  We start with a practical warning that hits home for anyone dealing with money and family boundaries: cosigning. Proverbs doesn’t treat it like a harmless favor, because the risk often lands on the person with the most responsibility. We talk through why lenders look at the cosigner first, what can happen when life gets hard for the borrower, and how to protect peace in the family if you do choose to help your kids get started with credit, an apartment, or a car. It’s not about fear, it’s about counting the cost and deciding with open eyes.  Then we widen the lens to diligence and the pressure that comes with growth. Diligence is not hype, it’s sustained effort with foresight and care. We challenge the myth that God’s will always feels easy and unpack why the “warrior in Christ” keeps getting back up, not by pure grit, but by the power of God and the Word working inside. Proverbs 6 brings it home with the ant: no boss, no excuses, just steady preparation that keeps need from sneaking up over time.  If you want more clarity on hearing God’s voice in everyday life, we also share a practical resource: God, Why Won’t You Talk to Me by Edward L. Whose Words Are Steering Your Life Today

Send us Fan Mail Temptation almost never announces itself as danger. It shows up as honeyed words, smooth logic, and a “normal” path everyone else seems to take and Proverbs 5 calls that out with uncomfortable clarity. We slow down and read the chapter as a personal warning from God: pay attention to His wisdom, lean in to His understanding, and let that instruction become a real hedge of protection around your life. We talk about what “observe discretion” means in plain terms: learning to recognize an evil plan before it becomes your habit, your relationship pattern, or your future regret. Using Proverbs 5, we explore both the obvious message about sexual purity and the deeper spiritual picture of adultery as trusting any voice more than God’s voice. That leads into a grounded conversation about spiritual warfare, the devil’s lies, and why discernment isn’t just “being smart” but hearing the Spirit of God so you can tell good from evil when the world blurs the line. From there, we connect the chapter to modern work culture and the rat race. If you’ve ever felt like you’re spending your strength building someone else’s dream, we unpack Proverbs 5’s warning about giving your years to “the cruel one,” and we contrast hustle bondage with “the blessing of the Lord that makes rich and adds no sorrow.” We also get practical about the internal battle: fear, unbelief, and the flesh insisting you can’t do what God told you to do. We close with hope: God watching your paths isn’t paranoia, it’s peace when you know He’s good. If you want to go deeper, we also mention the book God, Why Won’t You Talk to Me by Edward L.
