    S01E11"Boom Town" w/ Shannon Cay & Merrilee O'Neil

    Time Lords! This week, we kidnapped our favorite witchy Time Lord Shannon Cay and Silly Lil Guy Time Lord Merrilee O'Neil from the Glitterjaw Queer Podcast Collective as we visit the Cardiff Rift in 2006.  The Doctor, Rose Tyler, and Captain Jack Harkness make a day-trip to the Cardiff Rift to refuel the Tardis and get brunch with Mickey Smith when they encounter their Slitheen foe from earlier this season, Margaret Blaine. Stranded on Earth, she finds herself in office and building a nuclear power plant in hopes of using it to power her extrapolator and get back home. The Doctor apprehends her and vows to return her to her home planet but Margaret reveals she's been sentenced to death and taking her back would mean killing her.  Doctor Who does My Dinner with Andre as our hosts debate the show's moral dilemma of the Death Penalty and if reformation is possible. Shannon waxes poetically about filming on location, beautiful cinematography and real, unfiltered faces.     S01E09-10 "The Empty Child" & "The Doctor Dances" w/ Catrina Parker & Brian Richards

    Time Lords! This week, we find ourselves in deep Whonanigans with returning companion Brian Richards and new companion Catrina Parker as we go back in time to the London Blitz.  Just this once - everybody lives! The Doctor and Rose are tracking a cylinder that crashes into London during the Blitz. The two separate and Rose meets the charming Time Agent Captain Jack Harkness, who may or may not be responsible for this cylinder. Meanwhile, the Doctor finds a group of homeless children and their caregiver Nancy who protects them from an "empty" child in a gas mask. He learns the child is spreading a zombie-like plague throughout wartime London and Captain Jack might be responsible for it.  Catrina recounts Christopher Eccleston shouting "Go to your room!" to an Empty Child cosplayer at Chicago Tardis, and Chels workshops their Pting and Dancing' Butcher cosplay.     S01E08 "Father's Day" w/ Sharai Bohannon & Gavin Mevius

    Time Lords! This week, we kidnap returning companions Gavin Mevius of The Mixed Reviews and The Q Division podcasts and scream queen writer and podcaster Sharai Bohannon as we travel back in time to the day Pete Tyler died.  Rose asks the Doctor if they can go back in time to see her dad Pete Tyler, and after attending her parents wedding, she requests to see him on the day he died so he isn't alone when he passes away. Things go awry when Rose messes with the laws of time and saves him from his death, unleashing supernatural Reapers into the timeline.  We discuss if Rose or the Doctor is at fault for saving a person who shouldn't be alive and the concept of fixed points in time. Our Tardis Team also breakdown why the scariest things should be left to our imagination and the importance of "filler episodes", aka, "world-building episodes". This week, returning companion Merrilee O'Neil from the Glitterjaw Queer Podcast Collective has helped us kidnap new companion Brian Richards to travel forward 200,000 years to Satellite Five.  The Doctor, Rose, and Adam Mitchell travel to a space station that broadcasts across the entire Fourth Great and Bountiful Human Empire but things aren't quite right. Technology is behind, attitudes towards aliens are off, and somebody is manipulating the media. Plus, our new companion goes on a side quest for his own self-interests.  We compare the state of media now to the disappearing of journalists and manipulations on Satellite Five and discuss how this episode inspired the Doctor and companion-lite episodes in the future.     S01E04-05 "Aliens of London" & "World War Three" w/ Shannon Cay

This week, we kidnapped filmmaker Shannon Cay as we travel to 2006 London.  Our first two-parter of the new era follows the Doctor and Rose Tyler as they accidentally travel forward to London 2006, where Rose has been declared a missing person. As they deal with the consequences of imprecise time-travel, an alien spacecraft flies over London and the city is sent into a lockdown. With the Doctor and Rose trapped inside Downing Street, it's up to Mickey Smith to save the day. Our villains may not be silent but they are very deadly!  We tackle Mickey Smith's zero to hero arc, RTD's fatphobia, and if commenting on world events through art works in the moment.
