  2. Dr Stephanie Minchin | Clinical Psychologist + Yoga Therapist

    17H AGO

Dr Stephanie Minchin | Clinical Psychologist + Yoga Therapist

Stephanie Minchin, aka The Yoga Psychologist and Founder of House of Yoga Psychology, is a HighlySpecialist Clinical Psychologist, Yoga Therapist and Yoga Teacher with over 20 years of experience working in mental health. Steph's dharma and calling is to guide people in the union of body and mind practices on a journey of embodiment, education and empowerment, integrating yoga and psychology for personal healing, professional development, training and education. Steph has authored several articles, research papers and a book chapter and co-founded the MoreMind project with MoreYoga. As a trainer and educator, Steph lectures for The Minded Institute, the UK's leading Yoga Therapy school, and regularly delivers trainings and consultations to organizations nationwide. Steph says, "Yoga was my therapy; before I was able to put words to my experience. As I journeyed through the worlds of yoga teaching and clinical psychology I understood the essence of both as healing, through a process of self-inquiry and inner transformation. For me, the parallel between sharing psychological therapy and yoga with others was about ‘holding space’ and inviting inner connection to understand oneself. Both yoga and psychology have supported me to become more grounded, mindful and self-compassionate, with an approach of acceptance and gratitude each day." Steph weaves in wisdom from yogic philosophy and psychology, integrating eastern principles into our western living as she advocates for the healing powers of yoga psychology for a calm mind, strong body and open heart, and she supports practitioners in health, healing and wellness with embodiment, education and empowerment so that they can become Embodied Entrepreneurs.
