    Bi Bi Bi

    I always knew I was different. I just didn't have the words for it... This episode is my first time talking openly about my bisexuality — the sleepover in seventh grade, seeing Tila Tequila on "A Shot at Love" and finally having a word for what I felt, my Aunt Patti Ann outing me to my grandfather , and the long road from shame to pride. Growing up, we weren't taught queer history. We weren't given vocabulary. We weren't shown that bisexuality is fluid and beautiful and AND — not or. So I internalized a lot. I thought there was only one way to "be bi." It took years, therapy, and learning about the people who came before me to understand that my identity isn't a box to fit into. It's a way of seeing the world. This episode is for baby bis who are just starting out. For anyone who's ever felt "too late" to their own identity.
