    Pentecost may be behind us on the calendar, but the work of the Holy Spirit continues every day in the life of the Church. On the Sunday of All Saints, we’re reminded that holiness is not reserved for a select few. The same Spirit who guided the apostles, inspired the saints, and continues to lead the Church is also at work in each of us. Many of the saints we admire lived extraordinary lives, but they were not perfect people. They struggled, learned, repented, and grew in faith just as we do. This message explores the Church’s call to holiness and the surprising truth that sainthood is not for someone else—it is the vocation of every Christian. Through faith, prayer, sacrifice, and the grace of the Holy Spirit, each of us is invited to become part of that great cloud of witnesses.

    One week after Pascha, the Gospel brings us back to the upper room, where fear, doubt, and faith meet face to face. Thomas seeks more than secondhand belief—he desires a real encounter with the risen Christ. And Christ responds, not with rejection, but with invitation. This reflection draws a connection between Thomas’s experience and the gift of the Eucharist, especially as young members of the parish receive their First Holy Communion. What Thomas longed for—to see and touch the Lord—is now given to us in a deeper way through Holy Communion. This is a call to approach the Divine Liturgy not as routine, but as a true encounter with Christ—one who still bears the marks of love and offers Himself fully to us.
