Scripture References: 1 Corinthians 16:13–14, 1 Corinthians 13:1–13 The final directive in 1 Corinthians 16:14 brings the entire series home with a vital modifier: "Do everything in love."Without love, courage turns into cruelty, strength becomes tyrannical, and vigilance devolves into paranoia. In the final chapter of our men's series, Stand Firm, Act Like Men, Pastor JT turns to the famous "Love Chapter"—1 Corinthians 13—to show that biblical love is not a passive sentiment or a weak emotion. For a man of God, love is the ultimate expression of strength, action, and durability. Love Is of Utmost Importance (vv. 1–3): You can have dynamic gifts, sharp theological knowledge, and impressive accomplishments, but if you do not have love, Paul says you are completely empty. True masculinity is measured not by what you achieve, but by how well you love. Love Is Something That Is Applied (vv. 4–7): Biblical love is a verb. It is patient, kind, slow to anger, and quick to protect. It isn't just felt in your heart; it is actively demonstrated in how you speak to your family, how you handle frustration, and how you honor others above yourself. Love Is Permanent (vv. 8–13): Earthly accolades, status, and physical strength will all eventually fade away, but love endures forever. When everything else is stripped away, faith, hope, and love remain—and the greatest of these is love. Pastor JT left every man with a direct, practical challenge to process and execute this week: How can you lay down your life for those you love? How can you serve them and make their needs more important than your own—not just today, but tomorrow, the next day, and every day after that? Whatever specific act of service, conversation, or sacrifice popped into your head when reading that question: Go and do that thing.
