Being someone who was quite involved with the actual happenings at the time in the US, that being from the mid 1980’s through the early 90’s, I often head to these stories now days to see if ANYONE will do a competent, accurate story & portrayal of what is now referred to as “The Satanic Panic”. A title I might add, created by those same people back in the day, that worked their very best to suppress these stories.
This particular podcast program may as well be any other podcast, including hosts which know very little if anything about the true facts regarding the topic. The discussion between hosts is sophomoric at best, essentially repeating the same old regurgitated claims that the Satanic Panic was never anything more than basically mass hysteria, followed up with the claim that every social worker and every policeman at the time was incompetent to interview anyone. The absurd theory being that over 99% of every alleged incident, was due to false, implanted memories due to a flawed way of interviewing victims. Yes a ridiculous idea but when extrapolated out with the sheer numbers involved, it becomes quite obvious to anyone with even half a brain, there was FAR more to all of it than people ever since, have been doing their best to downplay and discredit. As I said, even going as far as making the title “Satanic Panic” be part of their defense to anyone who approaches the subject.
I offer the lowest rating possible in review of this, because as an informed person on the subject, who was there at the time and witnessed it first hand, I can confidentially say that this episode of this podcast, is absolutely nothing more than the same rehashed, regurgitated rubbish you will hear from anyone who reads a paragraph or two describing the “Satanic Panic of the 1980’s”.
I would so enjoy hearing a true representation of what REALLY happened, and would so much like to get that to the world to hear! But sadly, at this point that will likely never happen. Those who wished to suppress this info succeeded in their cover up. Even making up a title for it, which perpetuates the idea that whosoever digs deeper into this, should be labeled a gullible fool. If that’s not a successful cover up what is? And lastly to a statement made in this podcast, YES, there are things happening TODAY, that the in directly with all these things that happened back then. Right now, the elephant in the room about 10’s of thousands of children going missing in the US which has been tied directly to government agencies that literally NO ONE is even talking about!
What happened in the 80’s & 90’s does continue today. And there’s much proof out there. But no one will call it was it is. Why? Because they don’t want to be labeled as a crazy nut job conspiracy theory theorist.
With DO many pertinent topics today, a serious podcast with competent hosts, could really break wide open some truly deep dark things taking place.
But instead, they cover topics like this, supporting the general status-quo of today, offered by the naive who simply scoff and call it all “a big blunder by everyone at the time”.
Absolute absurdity.
As for this podcast? Don’t expect much, because you’re not going to get anything new or groundbreaking. Just useless drivel.
