    My guest is Scarlett Stanhope, aka the Biz Hippie. She helps coaches transform their relationship with money and step into their next level of abundance.  Scarlett harnessed the power of money herself to break free from her workaholic career path and pursue her dreams. Now she uses a combination of tangible money management strategies and coaching techniques to help her clients transform their money mindset, achieve their goals, and live their best lives.  Do you know what your relationship with money is? I have tried to think about it but I was wasn’t sure how to frame it. Do I like it? Do I hate it? Well, both at different times. And therein lies the issue, according to Scarlett. When I have money, I like it; when I don’t I get angry at it. Why doesn’t more come in? Why are you taking so long to arrive? But this very idea gives away all my power to money, putting me into a victim state. Rather than seeing money as the end game, Scarlett says a healthy relationship with money involves how you think about money, how you feel about money, and how you use your money. The key is to work on all 3 of these fronts at the same time.  And that’s what she teaches in her program. Because it’s not about how much is in the bank account. It’s about feeling and being in control of your money, and having an intention behind it. Just trying to accumulate as much as possible all the time doesn’t work because the number will never be enough.     When Your Ancestors Call You Home: The Way Back to Pono with James Kawainui

    One of the most calming experiences I’ve had on this podcast was interviewing James Kawainui, Native Hawaiian Elder, healer, teacher, author and speaker. James’ healing energy is borne of 26 years’ experience helping people identify where and how they are out of alignment, and finding their way back to Pono – right relationship with themselves, their lives, and the Divine. James comes by his native healing abilities honestly – he is of a 20-generation Kahuna lineage. But he didn’t always embrace it. His path to becoming a Kahu was not planned; it began when he heard a clear message from his ancestors telling him it was time to go home. • He left a high-level corporate career, returned to Hawaii, and spent years rebuilding his life while learning to listen to ancestral guidance and honor his lineage.     As a spiritual solopreneur, how do you find that sweet spot between the logic and the magic? I spoke with Erica Jago about marketing and spirituality, 2 of my favorite topics, and how and where they come together in the perfect union.     When Desire Feels Wrong: Reclaiming Creativity, Healing & Your Divine Calling – with Meg Calvin

    Today, my guest for a return visit is Meg Calvin. Meg is a former minister, writing and marketing coach, and author who believes books are a healing modality. With twenty plus years of experience in emotional health and spiritual formation, her debut novel and an and online community, The Treasure Within, help women reconnect with their bodies, reclaim their intuition, and lead from wholeness instead of obligation. It was such a pleasure chatting to Meg, particularly about her newly published book, “There He Holds Her”. It’s a  generational novel about a pastor, her family, and the dynamics within the church and her ancestry. It’s also an old-fashioned romance written as a “PG-13” Christian romance. Partly autobiographical, "There He Holds Her" was inspired by Meg's desire to combine spiritual nonfiction and traditional romance fiction, while also drawing from her own reunion with herbiological father and spiritual awakening.
