    S03E23 The Mandela Effect

Send us Fan Mail You remember it. You're absolutely certain you remember it. There's only one problem. It apparently never happened that way. Nelson Mandela died in prison in the 1980s. The Berenstain Bears were the Berenstein Bears. The Monopoly Man wore a monocle. Fruit of the Loom had a cornucopia. Darth Vader said, “Luke, I am your father.” At least…that's how millions of people remember it. This phenomenon has become known as The Mandela Effect—instances in which large groups of people share the same memory of something that seemingly never existed. The conventional explanation is fairly straightforward: human memory isn't nearly as reliable as we'd like to believe. We misremember things. Our brains fill in missing information. And once enough people reinforce the same incorrect memory, it can begin to feel unquestionably real. But there's another explanation. What if we're not remembering it wrong? What if something changed? Following our investigation into CERN and the conspiracy theories surrounding the Large Hadron Collider, Adie takes Carpe Noctem even further down the rabbit hole. Could the Mandela Effect be evidence of parallel universes? Alternate timelines? Quantum phenomena? Did reality somehow split—or have we crossed into a world that's almost exactly like the one we remember? Or is the strangest thing about the Mandela Effect not the universe at all… …but the human mind? Tonight, we're looking at the famous examples, the obscure ones, the possible explanations, and the cases that might just leave you questioning your own memories. Because if your memory says one thing and reality says another…which one do you trust? #MandelaEffect #MandelaEffectExamples #AlternateReality #ParallelUniverse #ConspiracyTheory #FalseMemories #CarpeNoctem

S03E22 Did CERN Invent Time Travel

Send us Fan Mail Deep beneath the border of France and Switzerland sits the Large Hadron Collider — the largest and most powerful particle accelerator ever constructed. Operated by CERN, it was built to help scientists answer some of the biggest questions about matter, particles, and the universe itself. But according to some conspiracy theorists, CERN may have discovered something else entirely. For years, theories have circulated claiming that experiments at the Large Hadron Collider could create microscopic black holes, open portals into other dimensions, alter timelines, or even explain the strange phenomenon known as the Mandela Effect. Then there are the things that have only added fuel to the fire: claims of occult symbolism, experiments involving the so-called "God Particle," and the unsettling question of what might happen when humanity begins experimenting with forces we don't completely understand. Tonight on Carpe Noctem, Adie takes us down one of the strangest rabbit holes in modern conspiracy culture. What is CERN actually doing? Could the Large Hadron Collider really create a black hole? Where did the stories about portals and alternate dimensions come from? And what on Earth does any of this have to do with people remembering the Berenstain Bears differently? We'll separate the science from the speculation, trace the origins of the conspiracy theories, and ask the question at the center of it all: Is CERN simply helping us understand reality... ...or did somebody accidentally mess with it? #CERN #LargeHadronCollider #MandelaEffect #ConspiracyTheories #AlternateDimensions #BlackHoles #CarpeNoctem

S03E20 Every Victim Has a Name - Deadhead Miles 4

Send us Fan Mail There are monsters who hide in the shadows... ...and then there are those who hide in plain sight. Wayne Adam Ford was a former Marine and long-haul truck driver who spent years traveling California's highways. To everyone around him, he looked like an ordinary truck driver trying to make a living. Behind the wheel, however, he was hunting vulnerable women whose lives deserved so much more than to become headlines. In this episode of Deadhead Miles, we examine one of the most disturbing cases in trucking history—but our focus isn't on glorifying a serial killer. It's on remembering the women whose lives were stolen. We'll follow the investigation that stretched across multiple California counties, the shocking confession that stunned investigators, and the remarkable DNA breakthrough that finally restored one victim's identity after twenty-five years. Because every victim had a name. Every victim had a family. Every victim deserved to come home. S03E18 Carpe Noctem - Was Bobby the Common Denominator

Send us Fan Mail Some books tell a story. Others challenge everything you thought you knew. In this premiere episode of Carpe Noctem, Phil and Adie take a thoughtful look at Collateral Damage by Mark Shaw—a book that explores possible connections between the deaths of Marilyn Monroe, President John F. Kennedy, journalist Dorothy Kilgallen, and Robert F. Kennedy. Rather than telling you what to believe, we examine the evidence Shaw presents, compare it with the historical record, discuss where his arguments are compelling, acknowledge where historians disagree, and invite you to reach your own conclusions. Was Marilyn Monroe simply a tragic Hollywood icon? Did Dorothy Kilgallen uncover something she wasn't supposed to know? Why does Robert Kennedy seem to appear at the center of each story? And what can these cases teach us about history, investigative journalism, and the questions that continue to fascinate us more than sixty years later? This isn't a conspiracy video. It isn't a debunking video. It's an invitation to investigate history together. Because sometimes the most fascinating mysteries aren't the ones we've solved... They're the ones we're still talking about decades later. 📚 Featured Book: Collateral Damage by Mark Shaw https://a.co/d/0cYKwLKz We'd love to hear your thoughts. Have you read the book? Did you find Shaw's arguments persuasive? Where do you agree—or disagree? Join the conversation in the comments.
