SAME FLIGHT NUMBER?! Two American Airlines aircraft were operating under the same flight number near Phoenix. An alert air traffic controller caught the problem and kept the aircraft safely separated. We're talking about what happened and the layers of aviation safety that helped prevent a much bigger problem. 🐦 BIRD STRIKE! MAYDAY DECLARED! An American Airlines Boeing 737-800 experienced a bird strike shortly after takeoff from Myrtle Beach, with flames visible from an engine. The crew declared a mayday and safely returned to the airport. 🪟 THE RYANAIR WINDOW INCIDENT — NEW INFORMATION Investigators found bird remains in the engine involved in the July incident where a passenger was partially pulled through a shattered window.
