Write Over Coffeee | Episode 14: To Be a Man — The Silent Weight Fathers Carry

Men are often taught how to survive… but not how to process emotionally. In this episode of Right Over Coffeee, we dive into fatherhood, masculinity, emotional healing, mental health, and the silent battles so many men carry alone. Emotional suppression can turn into depression. Shame grows in silence. And unhealed pain eventually affects relationships. This conversation is for the fathers trying to stay strong while silently carrying the weight of everything around them. Journal Prompts: • What emotions were you taught to suppress? • When did vulnerability begin feeling unsafe? • What does emotional honesty look like for you today? Scriptures: • “Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” — 1 Peter 5:7 • “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28 • “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18 • “Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry.” — James 1:19 • “Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” — Galatians 6:2 • “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” — Proverbs 4:23 • “Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed.” — James 5:16 • “He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.” — Isaiah 40:29 • “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” — 2 Corinthians 12:9 • “Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.” — Psalm 51:10 • “Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor.” — Ecclesiastes 4:9 • “For when I am weak, then I am strong.” — 2 Corinthians 12:10 Visit ElizabethKGreen.com if you need support and someone to walk alongside you. Write Over Coffeee | Episode 10: Before You Judge: The Story You Don’t See Coming (Including Your Own)

Before we ever speak judgment out loud, something quieter is happening within us. This episode isn’t about calling out how we judge others—it’s about the assumptions we carry, the stories we create, and the silent ways we judge ourselves.   Because what we notice in others often reveals what’s unsettled in us.   We’ve been trained by society to evaluate, compare, and label—but God invites us into something deeper: understanding, compassion, and truth.   If you’ve ever felt disconnected, misunderstood, or defined by a moment… this conversation is for you.   Journal Prompts • What do you tend to notice first in people—strength or struggle? What does that say about where your heart has been lately? • Where have you believed a moment defined you? • What do you say to yourself when no one is listening—and would you speak to someone you love that way?   Scripture • Matthew 7:1–3 – “Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged… Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?” • 1 Samuel 16:7 – “The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” • Romans 8:1 – “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” • Colossians 3:12 – “Clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.” • 2 Corinthians 10:5 – “We take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.” • Galatians 6:2 – “Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.”   If this spoke to you, reach out to me at Elizabethkgreen.com   Book: Unspoken Goodbyes: A Daughter’s Story of Grief, Love, and Healing https://a.co/d/02VsnRJc   #podcast #faithpodcast #christianpodcast #selfreflection #healingjourney #mindrenewal #bibletruth #faithoverfear #heartwork #emotionalhealing #innergrowth #selfawareness #christianliving #thoughtlife #godoverculture

Write Over Coffeee | Episode 9: Tough Love

Have you ever loved someone so much that it started to break you? Somewhere along the way, love stopped feeling like peace… and started feeling like pressure. Tough love isn’t cold, harsh, or about shutting people out.   It’s not punishment.   It’s not pride. Tough love is choosing growth over comfort.   Choosing health over history.   Choosing obedience over attachment. At some point, you have to recognize:   You are not responsible for carrying people who refuse to walk. --- Scripture Mentioned: Proverbs 4:23 — “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” Ephesians 6:2 — “Honor your father and mother—which is the first commandment with a promise.” Psalm 34:18 — “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” Galatians 6:5 — “For each one should carry their own load.” Ecclesiastes 3:6 — “A time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away.” Amos 3:3 — “Do two walk together unless they have agreed to do so?” 2 Corinthians 10:5 — “We take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.” Exodus 14:14 — “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” Matthew 11:12 — “The kingdom of heaven has been forcefully advancing, and forceful people lay hold of it.” Isaiah 41:10 — “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God…” --- Journal Questions: Where have you been protecting someone else and not yourself?   Where do you confuse loyalty with self-abandonment? --- If you’re ready to go deeper, check out the full YouTube series:   https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLCCRHRuW2xYYiNsLq-Kc6qijTJocjBmpQ&si=UrnxJycX4YRJcF4n   Connect with Elizabeth:   Elizabethkgreen.com   Book:   Unspoken Goodbyes: A Daughter’s Story of Grief, Love, and Healing   https://a.co/d/02VsnRJc   --- #ToughLove #HealingJourney #EmotionalGrowth #BoundariesMatter #SelfWorth #FaithOverFear #ChristianPodcast #HeartHealing #PersonalGrowth #LettingGo #SpiritualGrowth #GuardYourHeart #GrowthSeason #ObedienceOverComfort #BreakTheCycle

Write Over Coffeee | Episode 8: Love That Stays vs. Love That Leaves

What if the heaviness you feel in your relationship isn’t random? What if it’s revealing something deeper—something about the kind of love you’re giving or receiving? In this episode, we’re talking about the hard truth: not all love is the same. Some love stays. Some love leaves. And sometimes… it doesn’t leave all at once. We unpack the difference between love that is rooted, steady, and whole—and love that is conditional, divided, or slowly fading. Because divided love doesn’t just hurt… it creates a deeper kind of emptiness that’s hard to explain but impossible to ignore. This conversation will challenge you to reflect honestly: Are you loving from a place of lack… or are you learning to love like God? If you’ve ever questioned the love you’re in, felt the weight of inconsistency, or wondered why something doesn’t feel whole—this episode is for you. You deserve a love that stays.   Mentioned in This Episode Scripture: Genesis 2:24 1 Corinthians 13:7 Song: “Love Is a Verb” – DC Talk Resources & Support: If you or someone you know is experiencing an unhealthy or abusive relationship, you are not alone.
