Then we tackle the bigger question: does the man need to be the leader of the household, and is that really what women want? Then things get political. We talk about Donald Trump and the promises he’s made, plus Mitch McConnell’s recent return to the Senate after a three-month absence following a fall and hospitalization. Reuters And, of course, we address one of the most pressing issues facing America today: How in the hell does JD Vance get his eyeliner looking that good? TikTok reactions, relationships, politics, gender roles, and whatever else crosses my mind.

    Two Brothers, One Rough Childhood & a Lot of Crazy Stories

    This week on the More Donut Podcast, I sit down with my little brother and go back to where we came from. We talk about growing up poor in a rough neighborhood, living in an abusive home, and what it was like having a stepfather who wasn't always kind to us. We remember some of the kids we grew up with, the trouble around the neighborhood, and the experiences that shaped both of us in different ways. But this episode isn't only about the bad times. My brother talks about getting out, going to college, and eventually becoming a bouncer at a busy college bar — which led to some absolutely crazy stories. Fights, drunk college kids, wild nights, and the kind of things you only see when you're standing at the door of a packed college bar. Two brothers. The same childhood. Two different paths. Some of these stories are funny. Some are difficult. And some we probably haven't talked about in years.

We compare the American work week with life in Norway and ask whether Americans are simply working too damn much. We get into policing and whether officers in the U.S. need more training, then talk about how the news media has shifted from delivering information to selling opinions — and what that's done to the way we see the world. Then things get weird. We dig into the prostitution-sting story involving a San Francisco 49ers owner and the case of De’Jon Love, accused of scamming women out of serious money. Current events, arguments, laughs, questionable opinions, and absolutely no idea where the conversation is going next.

    Halloween is coming, so this week we’re talking horror movies — the ones we love, the ones we don’t, and whether there are any scary movies we just flat-out can’t stand. We take a deeper look at It Follows and the strange, often misunderstood Halloween III: Season of the Witch, plus a few other horror favorites that find their way into the conversation. We also wander into a little politics along the way — because apparently we can’t talk about anything without getting sidetracked eventually. From classic Halloween horror to modern movies that genuinely get under your skin, this episode is basically two people sitting down and talking about what makes a scary movie actually work.
