    ¿Qué harías si llegaras a Estados Unidos pensando quedarte solo unos años y terminaras construyendo toda una vida aquí? En este episodio de Archivos de Inmigrantes, Carlos comparte su historia desde que dejó la Ciudad de México, cruzó la frontera y llegó a Tennessee buscando mejores oportunidades. Lo que comenzó como un plan temporal se convirtió en una vida de más de dos décadas en Estados Unidos, donde formó una familia, enfrentó desafíos migratorios, obtuvo la residencia permanente y finalmente alcanzó la ciudadanía estadounidense.     Ep. 8 El mayor error no fue emigrar… fue esperar tanto para arreglar

    ¿Te irías de tu país a los 17 años… sin saber si volverías a ver a tu familia? En este episodio de Archivos de Inmigrantes, Marco comparte su historia desde el inicio: su infancia en Guatemala, las carencias que lo marcaron y la decisión de emigrar en busca de un mejor futuro. Con solo 17 años, cruzó fronteras, enfrentó miedo, hambre e incertidumbre. Llegó a Estados Unidos sin conocer el idioma, sin recursos… pero con una meta clara: salir adelante. A lo largo de los años trabajó, formó una familia y construyó una vida. Sin embargo, vivió mucho tiempo sin estatus migratorio, con dudas, miedo al proceso y la idea de que arreglar papeles era demasiado complicado o costoso. No fue hasta mucho después que decidió iniciar su proceso. Hoy, después de todo ese camino, comparte lo que vivió realmente: la espera, la incertidumbre, el proceso… y el momento en que finalmente obtiene su residencia. Porque muchas veces, el mayor obstáculo no es el proceso… es no dar el primer paso.
