Why do innocent people suffer, loved ones die, and tragedies happen? And how do we continue trusting God when we don't understand what He's allowing? In this episode of A Lion Inside Podcast, we're tackling one of the hardest questions in Christianity: the problem of evil and suffering. Through biblical truth, theological reasoning, and honest conversation, we're exploring God's goodness, human free will, the reality of sin, and why the existence of evil doesn't necessarily disprove the existence of God. But this conversation goes beyond intellectual answers. Because when you're walking through grief, loss, or circumstances that don't make sense, sometimes no explanation feels big enough to satisfy the pain. I'm not here to minimize your suffering or pretend I have every answer. Instead, I want to point you toward the One who sees your pain, understands your grief, and offers His presence in the middle of it. We'll explore why God allows human choice, how Jesus enters into our brokenness, and how suffering can shape us to become more like Christ. Most importantly, we'll talk about what it looks like to trust God even when we don't understand His ways.     When God Feels Far Away: Finding Him in the Wilderness

    How do you know if you’re in a season of loneliness, emptiness, or spiritual dryness? Maybe you feel like you’re surrounded by people but still completely alone. Maybe your heart feels empty, your relationship with God feels distant, and you’re wondering, “Why am I in this season?”  I’ve personally been walking through a season of loneliness and emptiness, and in this episode, I’m sharing what God has been teaching me in the middle of it. We’re talking about how to recognize when you’re in a wilderness season, the lie that the wilderness always means punishment, and what the story of the Exodus teaches us about God’s presence in seasons that feel uncertain and painful. The Israelites spent years in the wilderness, but God was still leading them, providing for them, and shaping them. So how do you get out of a wilderness season? What do you do when you feel stuck? And how can you pursue God when you don’t feel Him? In this episode, we’ll walk through practical steps for navigating loneliness and spiritual dryness, learning to recognize God’s presence, and trusting Him even when you can’t see where He’s taking you. Your wilderness may feel empty, but it doesn’t mean God is absent.
