Business Owner at 21 and Still Going Strong! | Alicia of the Golden Leash

Send Fan Mail!   What if you didn’t wait until you were ready? At just 21, Alicia turned her love for dogs into The Golden Leash, a doggy daycare that has grown through word of mouth, community, and a whole lot of heart. Inspired by her childhood dog's poor experience at a kennel, she built a business around making dogs excited to come back—and making their humans feel like family. Alicia shares how she started in her own home, built a team of about 10 women, created a unique kennel-free boarding experience, and learned to trust herself along the way.   We also talk about growing a business without feeling like you have to make it huge, the power of word-of-mouth referrals, community partnerships, and what happens when the business you love also means experiencing loss with the families you serve. And Alicia has some inspiring advice for anyone sitting on a dream of their own. Connect with Alicia and The Golden Leash: Follow The Golden Leash on Facebook. In this episode, I sit down with Angela, founder of Majestic Threads Co., to talk about what it's really like to build a business in the middle of a very full life.
