About the Guest Gabriel Salazar is the 2026–27 Student Body President for the Northern Iowa Student Government at the University of Northern Iowa. He is a senior studying Digital Media Production and Political Communication with a minor in Legal Studies. At UNI, he has continued that work through student government, student involvement, and mentorship, with a particular focus on representation, advocacy, connection, and helping students find their place on campus.
