Bobby Ramsey grew up in church, made a profession of faith as a child, and spent much of his early life believing that going to church was enough. As he grew older, however, rebellion, pride, independence, and a desire to live life on his own terms shaped his path. Then, at 25, an unexpected encounter with God radically changed the way Bobby understood his faith and Scripture. Years later, a chemical accident severely damaged his eyesight and permanently changed the course of his life. Bobby faced surgeries, rehabilitation, dependence on others, and the difficult reality of living with blindness. Yet through it all, one question remained: Why would God allow this to happen? Bobby doesn't pretend to have an answer. Instead, he has learned something deeper: sometimes faith means being willing to say, “I don't know,” while still trusting that God is good. In this honest conversation, Bobby shares his journey from growing up in church without understanding how to live for Christ, through rebellion and spiritual awakening, to learning humility, accepting help, studying Scripture, navigating disagreements, and trusting God even when circumstances don't make sense. The conversation also explores the danger of speaking for God carelessly, the responsibility that comes with prophecy, the importance of rightly dividing Scripture, and how real Christian friendship can sharpen us—even when it creates friction. This is a conversation about suffering, pride, friendship, Scripture, dependence, and ultimately learning to trust God when you don't have all the answers. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Scripture quotations are taken from the Holy Bible, New Living Translation, copyright © 1996, 2004, 2015 by Tyndale House Foundation.
