The Twilight Hour — We Found Something Under the Christmas Tree Farm

The Twilight Hour — We Found Something Under the Christmas Tree Farm Something is wrong beneath the pines. For years, a quiet Christmas tree farm in the mountains has gone untouched. But now the trees are dying from the roots up, their branches coated in a strange black substance that burns to the touch. Earthquakes have begun shaking the mountains. Animals are turning up mutilated. And somewhere beyond the treeline, an unnatural fog is gathering around Pinehaven. Then the ground opens. After falling into a network of forgotten tunnels beneath the farm, one man discovers that the roots of the forest stretch much deeper than anyone realized. Tangled within them are bones, bodies—and things that were never human to begin with. And somewhere in the darkness, something is moving. Tonight, The Twilight Hour presents the standalone horror story “We Found Something Under the Christmas Tree Farm,” written by Kel Byron (u/wendingus). A story of frozen forests, buried tunnels, living roots, and the horrors waiting beneath the mountains. 🎙️ Presented by The Twilight Hour ✍️ Written by Kel Byron / u/wendingus Story & Author Read the original story on r/nosleep Kel Byron — Official Website Kel Byron / Wendingus — All Socials & Links u/wendingus on Reddit Instagram — @kelbyronauthor X — @TheWendingus All story rights belong to the original author. Evelyn and Daniel have survived everything the broadcast station has thrown at them so far. Tonight, they willingly walk into the woods. After listening to the final cassette recording left behind by one of the station’s former operators, Evelyn becomes even more determined to find the creature that stole her eye. Armed with flashlights, a handgun, and considerably more confidence than either of them probably should have, she and Daniel leave 104.6FM behind and enter the forest after sunset. What they find is worse than they expected. The root-faced creature has changed. Something enormous is moving through the mountains. And beneath the forest lies evidence that whatever brings the dead back here may have been spreading its roots for a very long time. By sunrise, Evelyn and Daniel may finally understand something important about the creatures surrounding the station: Not all of them are monsters. And some of the monsters may have once been people. But just when things begin to feel almost peaceful, an old feathered friend reveals one final secret. A missing cassette tape. 📖 Read the original story: https://www.reddit.com/r/nosleep/s/WSaVEf940a 🎙️ Accounts From A Lonely Broadcast Station A supernatural horror series following the employees of a remote radio station where strange broadcasts, impossible creatures, and the surrounding forest make every shift a fight to see another sunrise. Daniel never expected to take over the broadcast for Evelyn again. After Finn temporarily assumes responsibility for the station, Daniel and Evelyn finally get something neither of them has experienced in far too long: a normal weekend. They leave the tower behind, attend Daniel’s cousin’s wedding, meet his family, laugh, dance badly, and spend a few precious hours pretending the strange woods surrounding their town are someone else’s problem. But on the drive home, Evelyn makes one final stop at a place tied to her past—the playground where she once slept after losing her home. There, they see a young boy wandering alone toward the forest. And they follow him. What begins as a desperate attempt to save a child becomes one of their most brutal encounters yet, forcing Daniel and Evelyn to discover just how much the creatures within those woods are willing to take from them. An account of friendship, survival, sacrifice, and the terrible price of stepping beyond the treeline. 📻 THE TWILIGHT HOUR Accounts From a Lonely Broadcast Station — Part 3 ✍️ Written by Kel Byron / u/wendingus 📖 Original Story: https://www.reddit.com/r/nosleep/s/BONoH9uf04 🔗 Follow the Author: Instagram: @kelbyronauthor X: @TheWendingus Website: kelbyron.com Reddit: u/wendingus The Twilight Hour: Accounts From a Lonely Broadcast Station follows the strange broadcasts, unexplained encounters, and increasingly dangerous events surrounding 104.6 F.M. and the isolated radio tower overlooking the mountains.
