Burnout, Productivity, and the Fear of Never Doing Enough

Burnout does not always begin with completely falling apart. Sometimes, it begins much earlier, when resting starts to make you feel guilty, when your achievements never feel like enough, and when your sense of worth becomes tied to how productive you have been that day. In this episode of The Sae Talk, I speak honestly about my own experience with burnout and the pressure I have placed on myself to always be doing something, achieving something, or moving towards the next goal. I talk about where that pressure began, how it followed me from school into adulthood, and how changing my academic and career path forced me to question the version of success I had spent years chasing. I also share something from a recent birth chart reading that described how emotionally connected I am to work, recognition, and progress. Whether or not you believe in astrology, hearing it said so directly made me think about how deeply productivity can affect the way we see ourselves. This conversation is for anyone who struggles to rest without feeling guilty, feels anxious when life slows down, or constantly worries that they should be doing more. We talk about the signs of approaching burnout, what recovery can actually look like, and how to build a life where your work matters without allowing it to determine your entire worth. If you have been feeling tired, disconnected, overwhelmed, or unable to enjoy the things you once cared about, I hope this episode reminds you that you are not lazy, unmotivated, or falling behind. You might simply need more care than criticism right now.
