    Week 7 | Mark's Restoration & Reconciliation Road to Emmaus

    Can God still use someone after failure? Absolutely. In Week 7 of our Road to Emmaus series, Pastor Brent explores the life of John Mark and the powerful lesson found in Mark 16. After the disagreement between Paul and Barnabas over taking Mark on the second missionary journey (Acts 15), the Church witnessed a painful separation—but not a permanent division. Barnabas believed in Mark and took him to continue the work of the Gospel, while Paul traveled a different path. Different assignments did not mean different missions. The Gospel continued to spread through both teams as the Holy Spirit worked through each of them. Years later, we see one of the Bible's greatest stories of reconciliation. Paul writes, "Get Mark and bring him with you, because he is useful to me for ministry." (2 Timothy 4:11). What once looked like failure became a testimony of restoration, forgiveness, and God's faithfulness. Sometimes God leads believers into different ministries, churches, cities, or callings.
