    FB&A A Soul of Ash and Blood Chap 12-22 | Murder Island

    Come join us as we read through "A Soul of Ash and Blood" book 5 of the Blood and Ash series by Jennifer L. Armentrout. In this episode we will be covering chapters 12-22! We dive deep into the book, talking about theories we have about the book, Cas, the world and the lore in the Kingdom of Solis and beyond! In this episode we continue to read in Casteel's POV as Cas is talking to a sleeping Poppy about his journey in Solis that started as a mission to save his brother, but turned into so much more - the origin story of him and Poppy. Cas continues to give Kristen the ick with his constant sexual thoughts towards Poppy (but don't worry she does start to warm back up to him a LITTLE). We see a different perspective of when Poppy used to sneak out of the castle, and we realize that she wasn't as safe doing this as we initially thought. We read through some spice that is from Casteel's perspective and we start to see Cas being pulled out of the darkness of his trauma as Poppy enters his life. We have so many thoughts about Jericho - why was this man ever trusted to be a part of any of their plans?? Why is Nyktos never shown in the history of Solis?     A Court of Mist and Fury Question and Answer | Wham Bam Mating Wham

    It all started when a girl met a boy and they fell in love.... wait that's the wrong plot, we need some Fae! It all started back in 2015, when Sarah J Maas decided to start her second series, A Court of Thorns and Roses and we all fell in love, or some of us did anyway. Jumping forward 11 years later, Amanda, one of our hosts, still has not read the ACOTAR series! With books 6 and 7 coming out, and having just gotten into the romantasy genre, we decided to sit her down and ask her some questions about what she thought of A Court of Mist and Fury as a first time reader. From what she thought about Rhysand, the rest of the Bat Boys, and if her thoughts changed on Nesta, Elaine & Feyre. We learn more about her loathing of Tampon... oops we mean Tamlin, to what her favourite part of ACOMAF was. We see our queen go into stasis, and to save her memories Casteel is telling her about their meeting from his POV and we have so many questions. Is Cas actually a god? Did he know Poppy was the "harbinger" from the start? How does the general public know about Poppy’s mission for a “dignity in death"? What was up with Jansen? Is Kieran a seer?     FB&A The War of Two Queens Chap 45-50 | Reaver butt

    Come join us as we read through "The War of Two Queens" book 4 of the Blood and Ash series by Jennifer L. Armentrout. In this episode we will be covering chapters 45-50! We dive deep into the book, talking about theories we have about the book, Poppy, the world and the lore in the Kingdom of Solis and beyond! In this episode we can all relax as the Joining is complete and after it we discuss the lovely growth moment Poppy has, and the after effects of the Joining, stick around for Kristen's reasons about why a fourth should enter the bond (we promise she has a reason). After the Joining, we learn more about Malik and Millie, Malik's bonded wolven Preela and the bone dagger Poppy has. As Poppy has yet another dream, we discuss those and what we think about them, and who the people in her dreams are. As the gang finally takes Malec to Isbeth, we see some interesting imagery with Callum's appearance, and we all question not just him, but Millie, and the draken's motives. After three books, we finally learn the meaning behind the scent of stale lilacs, so lilac watch is officially over. We Malec gone back to Iliseeum, we learn more about the Primals, who the true Primal of Life and Death are and we finally find out what Poppy is the Primal of, all in time for the gang to round up, and take out Kolis in the upcoming books as he is now awake and free.     FB&A The War of Two Queens Chap 39-44 | Be Kind, Rewind

    Come join us as we read through "The War of Two Queens" book 4 of the Blood and Ash series by Jennifer L. Armentrout. In this episode we will be covering chapters 39-44!  We dive deep into the book, talking about theories we have about the book, Poppy, the world and the lore in the Kingdom of Solis and beyond! In this episode we finally reach Padonia, and find out what has happened while Poppy, Kieran and Reaver were saving Cas. Cas gets to see Tawny for the first time, and we love the interaction between them. We discuss the catch-up that happens with Cas and Valyn, and then Valyn and the Generals, and have opinions on how that all went down. Poppy talks to Kieran about the joining, and how they feel about it, before that process finally starts, which we all have different opinions about. Amanda and Kristen are OVER the 'fun' times between Cas and Poppy, and feel like the book and the relationship between them has changed. Amanda gets sus of someone again.... but this time it's Reaver, and Kristen joins this train. We also get some backstory on Cora, as Malik tells Poppy about what happened to her after the Craven attack. As Poppy has more visions, we narrow in on that, who are they from? Are they visions from the past or something else? As the gang finds Malec and takes him to return to Isbeth, we have questions. Like why was it so easy to get him? Is it really Malec in the coffin? In this epsisode we discuss Popp and Kieran's relationship, what are they too each other and with Poppy feeding from Kierans, did she really give consent to everything? Millie is brought up, as we have questions; we know she isn't a rev, but what is she as she failed to ascend? Another person we have eyes on is Callum, who is he? Is he the person who told Isbeth to ascent Millie? Ir he Kolis in disguise? We find out that Poppy is a Primal God, but what is she the God of? We also finally understand Poppy's dream that she has been having, and wonder if it's spoken by her namesake.     FB&A The War of Two Queens Chap 27-32 | A- at best

    Come join us as we read through "The War of Two Queens" book 4 in the Blood and Ash series by Jennifer L. Armentrout. In this episode we will be covering chapters 27-32! We dive deep into the book, talking theories we have about the book, Poppy, the world and the lore in the Kingdom of Solis and beyond! In this episode we revise the prophecy that was given to us by Tawny, as we make more connections to what was laid out. We discuss Isbeth, her poor war strategy and how vengeance is keeping her alive as she wants to see Atlantia burn. Was there a reason perhaps that Malec and Isbeth weren't allowed to do the heartmate trials? Is the whole book the heartmate trials for Cas and Poppy? Then Malik and Millicent are heartmates??? We have thoughts on this. Our least favourite revenant, Callum, is brought up, is he good? Evil? Playing a long game? There are so many question marks when it comes to him. Just as we have more questions about Poppy and her god-hood, as we get concerned when she 'turns off' her emotions as she, Reaver and Keiran all escape from the Blood Queen. Reaver is another character who leaves us with more questions from his actions in this set of chapters, and we discuss him. In the gang's escape, we also meet Blaz and Clariza, two descenders, and we talk about the groups time with them, the good, the bad, and the very awkward times, as Poppy and Cas 'reconnect'.
