Subscribe to Wandering Willow and get The 5-Minute Homecoming Zine free—a gentle embodied practice for reconnecting with yourself. There’s also cats. Because… cats. The house lions for Lion’s Gate. The Return of Rooted Word Circle

Rooted Word Circle is a living breathing thing, and it’s been calling me back. Calling me back to offer it to the world. Rooted Word Circle is a live, one-hour poetry workshop on Zoom where we gather in community, write from a shared prompt, share a few words or lines, and weave our words together into community found poems. What in the world is Show & Tell for Grown-Ups?!

I’m not great at endings. Maybe I’m not great at beginnings either haha. I’m just out here keeping it as real as possible. In the age of AI, I’m finally ok with my flaws and imperfections, and my 10 fingers. I made the above video explaining what the heck Show & Tell for Grown-Ups is about. The anxiety it’s giving me as I type, waiting for the video to finish, is subtly killing me. Please finish up, please be ok, please don’t erase my perfect little video that I’m actually so happy with. Whew, it went through. In the video I explain how we don’t talk enough about the things that light us up. Do you ever listen to someone passionately talk about something they learned or are interested about? Do you ever feel the expansive, inspiring energy they are radiating? It’s electric! That’s why I do what I do at Show & Tell for Grown-Ups. The world needs more hopes and dreams. It needs more happiness. There are times and places for all feelings, but honestly… I’m tired of being made to feel bad for focusing on the positive—the things that light up my world. It’s not spiritual bypassing. It’s living your best life. I came here to feel it all, and that includes joy and radiance. More of that please. If that’s your jam, upgrade to a paid subscription to join the monthly Zoom call. No recording, just your live presence in a sacred container. The zoom link goes out the Friday prior to the live call, and one more reminder email day of. Need more details? Here’s a whole page of deets here 👇 If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out via comments, DM, or replying to this email. Show & Tell for Grown-Ups is just one of my paid offerings. These offerings are held not only because they are my way of service to the world, but they also help me keep a roof over my head. I really like this roof over my head, and the heads of my husband and our two cats. When you pay for a monthly or yearly subscription, you are paying a real person and their livelihood. Not ready for Show & Tell for Grown-Ups? Stay tuned for future offerings like Forest Therapy gatherings on Zoom. I also really like coffee and you can buy me one below. And when I say coffee, mostly I’m saying paying my bills. What’s Coming Up Monday June 1st at 1:00pm EDT I’m going Live with Christie Sausa, MS to chat all things Gemini season and Tarot/Oracle cards. Probably gonna dish about the full moon too, because she was a doozy! Join us live here: https://open.substack.com/live-stream/215999 Maybe we’ll pull a card for you, if you ask nicely 😁 When you upgrade to paid, you get to join the monthly Show & Tell for Grown-Ups gathering and access exclusive posts like these: Nature Therapy Daily Journal and Rewild Your Heart mini-course. See you live Sunday June 7th at 1:00pm EDT! Now, off to watercolor something ala zentangle. Wandering onward,Sam 🌿 This is a public episode. Liminal Writing: A Conversation with Amanda Saint

There aren’t enough hours in the day for me to talk about the liminal space. Good thing - for you - this video is just under 40 minutes Amanda and I chatted about the liminal space, and how I found myself there. I’m learning that I’m a liminal being at this point. I’ve fully set up camp in the in-between. Liminal simply means in between. In between versions of yourself. Transitional phases and places. Sometimes I think about a house foyer being a liminal space - the space between where you come and go. We talked about writing, and how it’s a form of channeling. How things just pop into our writer heads and we just have to get it out. The liminal space and writing go hand in hand. Like peanut butter and jelly. Peas and carrots (said in the Forrest Gump voice.) If you’d like to explore writing your way through (or just further in, if you’re anything like me) the liminal space, I encourage you to check out Amanda’s 6 month program. The application deadline is June 8th, so don’t wait! Check out Writing the Bardo with Amanda here. I’ve had the pleasure of being in class with Amanda, and she has such a gentle energy. It reminds me of floating on water. Flowing, not forcing, and a sense of trust. Having that experience, I highly recommend her work, and share the above link here with no agenda or profit. Just the simple trust and faith in Amanda and what she stands for. I think it’s what the world needs. Faith. Trust. Flow. That and listening to the trees. Coffee is my love language.☕ You can buy me one here: Become a paid subscriber to join the monthly Show & Tell for Grown-Ups gathering (Next gathering is Sun June 7th at 1 pm EDT) and access exclusive posts like these: Nature Therapy Daily Journal and Rewild Your Heart mini-course. Wandering onward,Sam 🌿 P.S. I totally mixed up the 4 of Cups and 5 of Cups in tarot. Oops. Shout out to 2260 Hamilton’s Lore & Shadows for telling me in the live chat. I was combining two cards and using my foggy midlife brain to try and remember something I’ve only been dabbling with for a few years. After researching, I meant the 4 of Cups, which definitely has not spilled yet. Not actual grief, just stubbornly disengaged. This is a public episode.
