    Lisa Nash "I told Pete Tong he was burnt like a lobster"

    Lisa Nash joins the Global Club & Dance Hall Of Fame to talk about an extraordinary career at the heart of club culture - from her early love of music and Ibiza to becoming one of the familiar faces of ClubaVision. Lisa recalls discovering Ibiza as a teenager and the moment she walked into Es Paradis and saw Rozalla performing. The experience left such an impression that she knew she would be back - and that music and clubs would become a major part of her life. She talks about the creation of ClubaVision, which began as a video project before moving onto ITV, and what it was like being paid to travel around the UK and Ibiza, interview superstar DJs and report from the biggest clubs and parties of the era. Lisa also reveals how Carl Cox helped her learn one of the most important lessons of interviewing: “Just say whatever comes into your head.” What began as nerves and carefully rehearsed questions became a career built around her genuine love of talking to people and discovering their stories. There are plenty of Ibiza memories along the way - from filming with the likes of Pete Tong, visiting Pacha, Pikes and the hippie markets, to recreating the famous ClubaVision Ibiza tour and remembering the days when there were no mobile phones, no social media and celebrities could simply enjoy themselves alongside everyone else. Lisa also talks about some of the DJs and artists who have stayed with her throughout the years, including Jeremy Healy, Lisa Loud, Carl Cox, Masters at Work and Roy Ayers, as well as some of the unforgettable characters and stories from Ibiza’s golden era. Now back filming and working in the music and events world, Lisa reflects on reconnecting with the people and music she grew up around — and why the love of dance music never really goes away.     Gordon Mac MBE "I was the weird white kid into James Brown and The Fatback Band"

    Gordon Mac MBE joins the Global Club & Dance Hall Of Fame to tell the story of a remarkable life in music — from falling in love with radio and DJing as a teenager to co-founding Kiss FM in 1985, when it was a South London pirate station championing underground music. He recalls the extraordinary rise of Kiss, taking the station from pirate radio to becoming a legal 24-hour dance station, the DJs and the explosion of house, soul, reggae, hip-hop and dance music that transformed British club culture. Gordon also reveals why he returned to radio years after leaving Kiss - launching Mi-Soul Radio after realising there was a generation of Kiss listeners who had grown up but still wanted the music they loved. He explains how he tracked down many of the DJs who had been pushed out of mainstream radio and brought them together again.His philosophy has remained the same: radio should give great DJs a platform. As Gordon puts it, “I didn't create these DJs I just gave them a platform.” He also talks about his deep connection with Ibiza, from his first visit in the 1980s and early Kiss Ibiza parties to three different chapters on the island, his love of its music and escapism, and the people and places that have stayed with him.     Jason Bye - from Bucanero to Café Mambo, Amnesia, Space and "We Love....Sundays"

    Jason Bye’s Ibiza story began in 1992 on a Club 18-30 holiday. Within a year he was back on the island, determined to find a way to stay - even sleeping on the beach while looking for work.A chance job at Bucanero, working for owner Javier Anadón, became the beginning of something much bigger. In 1994, Javier invited Jason to come and play some records at his new bar - Café Mambo. With Brandon Block, Alex P and Sasha among the DJs hanging out, Jason found himself behind the decks when the others were, as he puts it, “too hedonistic” to play. He kept playing, and after just a night or two was offered the residency that would define his Ibiza career and also soundtrack the sunsets on the strip for years to come.Jason talks about the birth of the Café Mambo sound creating his legendary sunset sets, his long residencies at Cream at Amnesia and "We Love...Sundays" at Space and the people and records that shaped more than three decades on the island.An incredible story of how a Club 18-30 holiday turned into 30+ years at the heart of Ibiza’s soundtrack.

    Danny Whittle "It was very Wild West - moldy cash and poster wars"

    IMS co-founder, Director of Chinois Ibiza and island resident Danny Whittle takes us back to the mid-90s, when Ibiza’s club scene was still the Wild West — a world of cash payments, poster wars and armies of flyermen battling to promote the biggest nights.With no social media and little regulation, promoters relied on beaches, bars, flyers and posters to fill their clubs. Danny reveals how flyering was carefully tracked, how rival clubs would move posters to illegal locations to trigger fines, and how penalties eventually reached €3,000–€4,000 — helping bring the era of street promotion to an end.     Island resident Jo Mills joined Alan and Clara her remarkable 34-year DJ career, from discovering Ibiza in 1987 and learning to DJ at Flying Records in Kensington Market to becoming a resident at Cream and CircoLoco at DC-10. She recalls playing alongside some of the island’s most influential DJs, her memorable invitation from Danny Tenaglia to play Vinyl in New York, and the music and people that have shaped her Ibiza journey.
