    How to Discern Your APEST Gift

    We move away from reducing spiritual gift discovery to personality tests, spiritual guessing games, or instant labels and instead step into a discipleship process that is formed over time through obedience, experience, and community. The APEST framework, apostle, prophet, evangelist, shepherd, and teacher, is not meant to be a static identity assignment but a living reality shaped through growth in Christ and participation in the work of the kingdom. Through the OARS pathway, observation, activation, revelation, and structure, we learn that discernment is not primarily theoretical but deeply practical. Observation helps us recognize natural patterns in how God has wired us and how others affirm what they see in us. Activation moves us from awareness into practice, where we step into real environments, test our gifts, and learn through lived experience rather than assumption. Revelation brings clarity from the Holy Spirit, where what we have observed and activated begins to align with a deeper understanding of our calling and place in the body of Christ. Structure then anchors that revelation into a long-term framework for maturity, growth, and lifelong faithfulness in how we serve others. This episode looks at how maturity in these gifts is not about personal platform or visibility, but about multiplication and equipping others. Like Paul, who spent years being formed before fully walking in his apostolic calling, we see that gifting is refined over time through humility, endurance, and obedience.     Discernment in the Age of AI: When the Church Outsources Thought to Machines

    Embracing Sadness - Grief Without Shame

    We often treat sadness as something to be managed, avoided, or spiritually corrected, but in doing so we quietly develop a kind of emotional poverty that cannot sustain real discipleship. In this conversation, we explore the idea that sadness is not weakness but evidence of a wealthy heart – one that is still open, still responsive, still capable of engaging life on its actual terms rather than religious performance or denial. When sadness is dismissed as lack of faith, we don’t eliminate pain; we simply exile it from the places where it could be held, shared, and transformed. Instead of avoiding grief or collapsing into self-pity, we are invited into a more honest way of following Jesus, one that refuses isolation and refuses platitudes. From Job’s friends sitting in silence to the compassion of Christ who recognizes what is not as it should be, Scripture consistently points to a God who is present in sorrow rather than threatened by it.     Restoring APEST: The Forgotten Blueprint for Kingdom Maturity in a Fragmented Church

    We explore the collapse of a centralized, consumption-based church model and return to Paul’s vision in Ephesians 4: a living, functioning body equipped through the diverse giftings of Christ Himself. APEST—apostolic, prophetic, evangelistic, shepherding, and teaching—is not presented as an organizational hierarchy, but as the organic architecture of spiritual maturity, unity, and kingdom formation. When reduced to titles, offices, or staff roles, the church loses its movemental nature and begins to replicate systems instead of forming disciples. This conversation challenges the modern instinct toward centralized leadership structures and instead re-centers the church as a distributed expression of Christ’s life through every believer. The goal is not producing good church attendees, but mature sons and daughters who can discern, carry, and extend the kingdom in every sphere of life.     The One Thing Jesus Talked About Most (And the Church Talks About Least)

    In this episode, we confront the quiet erosion of one of the most foundational messages of Jesus’ ministry: the Kingdom of God has come near. In many modern expressions of Christianity, “the Kingdom” has been softened into symbolism, reduced to a future hope, or absorbed into personal spirituality… detached from the disruptive, present-tense reality Jesus actually proclaimed. What remains is often a fragmented Gospel: salvific in language, but disconnected from the reign, authority, and demands of the King Himself. In this Season 2 conversation, we return to the opening declaration of Jesus in the Gospel of Mark and examine what happens when Kingdom theology is diminished, redefined, or replaced entirely by religious systems that no longer require surrender to Christ’s rule.
