Off the Land with Rob

Rob from Farming and Outdoors

"Off The Land is a no-fluff podcast about rural Australian life — farming, hunting, fishing, and the politicians making all of it harder than it needs to be. New episodes whenever something happens worth talking about. Which, unfortunately, is pretty often."

From EPBC Chaos to Carbon Credits: What’s Happening to Australian Farming | Off the Land with Rob EP10

Description (ready to paste): Off the Land with Rob – Episode 10 Four stories this week that every Australian who eats should hear. The EPBC Act changes that have effectively killed the old continuous-use exemption. Clearing regrowth, putting in firebreaks, controlling scrub near watercourses — a lot of the basic work that keeps a place running now needs Canberra’s permission. Farmers are pulling projects because the risk and paperwork are too high.More water being bought out of the Murray-Darling. Productive farms lose reliability, towns hollow out, and the cost flows all the way to the supermarket shelf.Tasmania’s biggest farm, Rushy Lagoon, sold to a UK-managed trust. Thousands of hectares of dairy and beef country are being turned into pine plantation for carbon credits — helped along by Australian taxpayer money through the Clean Energy Finance Corporation. Local buyers who wanted to keep it farming were locked out.A proper good-news story from the Liverpool Plains. Local farmers growing a crop on unused council land and putting every dollar of profit back into local kids through scholarships, schools, sport and support. Over $450,000 so far. We’re watching good country get taken out of production while the people who grow the food are told to “adapt”. Food doesn’t grow on pine trees or paperwork. If this hit home, hit like, smash subscribe and share it with someone who still works the land. Drop your thoughts in the comments — I read them. Be safe out there. #OffTheLand #AustralianFarming #EPBC #MurrayDarling #FoodSecurity Australian farming, EPBC Act, Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act, farm red tape, land clearing rules, continuous use exemption, Murray Darling Basin, water buybacks, irrigation, Rushy Lagoon, Tasmania farm sale, carbon credits, ACCU, pine plantation, farmland to forestry, food security Australia, cost of living, regional Australia, Liverpool Plains, Farming for Kids, Quirindi, Charles Hill, Off the Land with Rob, Australian farmers, primary producers, ag politics, country Australia, farm policy Australian farming, EPBC Act, Murray Darling, water buybacks, carbon credits, Rushy Lagoon, food security, farm red tape, Off the Land, regional Australia

Rob for PM: 75yo Shoots Intruder – NO Charges! Castle Law Now + Defund The ABC

The Torrington home invasion has set a powerful precedent. 75-year-old Keith Blessing defends himself and his wife against a violent intruder who stabbed them both — and police have laid zero charges. This is exactly why Australia needs strong Castle Law protections nationwide. In this video, I lay out the full plan: Stronger Castle Law so law-abiding Aussies can protect their families in their own home without being treated like criminals.A powerful new Anti-Fraud and Anti-Corruption Bureau to drain the swamp — investigating politician rorts, stopping government waste, and creating a taskforce to smash fraud in the NDIS, welfare system, and Indigenous programs. Target: recover 75% of all improper payments. If I were Prime Minister, this is exactly where I would start — secure homes for families, clean up government, and make sure taxpayer money actually helps the people who need it. It’s also time to Defund the ABC — stop forcing Australians to pay for biased, taxpayer-funded propaganda. Australia deserves better. Real leadership that puts everyday Aussies first. If you support Castle Law, cleaning up government waste, and putting Australia First — smash the LIKE button, drop a comment with your thoughts, and share this video. What’s your #1 priority? Castle Law? Defund the ABC? Anti-Corruption Bureau? Let me know below! Rob for PM — real solutions for real problems.
