It’s an invitation to expand your capacity, to hold all of life—the joy, the uncertainty, the unexpected beauty—without striving or resisting. Whether you’re recovering from trauma or burnout, on a path of self-discovery and awakening, or just tired of living from effort, this is you

Episode 2 I Embracing Every Version Of You

What if there is no “best version” of you waiting somewhere in the future? What if the goal was never to become someone better, but to embrace every version of yourself? In this episode, I’m talking about the exhausting cycle of striving, becoming, people-pleasing, learning, doing, and constantly trying to improve ourselves in the hope that someday we’ll finally feel like we’ve arrived. I share some of my own story—from the little girl who was curious, talkative, creative, silly, and full of life, to the version who felt like I was “too much” and who began changing to fit a mold that was never meant for me. Along the way, I became a master chameleon. In my own journey, I began realizing that I didn't want to spend my life chasing some imaginary “best version” of myself. I want to be every version of me. The one-year-old who hated SpaghettiOs.The five-year-old who could make friends with anyone. The seven-year-old who asked too many questions. The versions who were scared. The versions who were angry. The versions who were joyful. The versions who got lost. The versions who are still healing. They all get to exist. And maybe the parts of ourselves we thought we had to get rid of aren't actually gone. Maybe they're still here, waiting for us to embrace them unconditionally. Why constantly trying to become a “better” version of yourself can keep you from actually experiencing your lifeThe pressure to prove your worth through achievement, learning, doing, and strivingHow people-pleasing can turn us into “master chameleons”What happens when we begin dimming the parts of ourselves that once felt too muchLetting go of the idea that there is a destination where we've finally “arrived”Making space for all of the different versions of ourselvesReconnecting with curiosity, joy, creativity, wonder, and the parts of ourselves we learned to suppressThe beauty of uncertainty, mystery, and the unexpected moments of being humanRemembering that you don't have to become someone else to be worthyYou don't have to do more. You don't have to become someone else. You don't have to finally arrive at some perfectly evolved version of yourself. You are already worthy simply because you exist. You are enough. You're not too much. And you're doing so much better than you think you are. So today, instead of asking “How can I become a better version of myself?”… Ask yourself: “What version of me needs my acceptance and love?” I'd love to hear from you. What part of this episode spoke to you? What version of yourself are you learning to celebrate and love? If something in this episode resonated with you, I'd love for you to share it with me. Your stories, reflections, and experiences are what make these conversations so meaningful. And if you enjoyed this episode, leaving a review would mean so much to me. Reviews help this message reach more people who might need to hear it, too. Thank you for being here, for listening, and for sharing your journey. To every version of us 🥂 Lane

    Episode 1 | Becoming Human

This podcast was born from a season that unraveled everything. After leaving a 16-year marriage, walking away from lifelong faith, and navigating life as a single mom in the midst of deep personal upheaval, nothing looked the way it once did. Everything familiar fell apart—and something deeper began to emerge. Becoming Human is the space that came from that. It’s the conversation I needed when I was in survival mode—when I was exhausted from trying to hold everything together, constantly anticipating what might happen next, and feeling disconnected from myself and my life. In this episode, I share the heart behind the podcast and the journey that led me here. We explore: What it means to live in survival mode and hypervigilance How people-pleasing, fawning, and emotional suppression disconnect us from ourselves The shift from “human doing” to “human being” Letting go of control, effort, and constant self-evaluation Learning to live from presence, softness, and trust Holding both the beauty and the pain of life at the same time This podcast is about remembering. Remembering that you’re not broken.Remembering that your patterns were created to keep you safe.Remembering what it feels like to actually be alive. We’ll gently explore what it looks like to: Build capacity to feel Release hypervigilance Soften into the present moment Trust yourself and trust life Reconnect with your own humanity You don’t have to fix yourself to be worthy of your life. You get to experience it—fully. If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed, disconnected, or like you’re just going through the motions… you’re not alone. And you’re so welcome here.
