Meredith has officially left the cauldron, so it’s time for a proper reintroduction. This first solo episode is Sarai Johnson telling you who she is, what she does, and why it matters. Sarai is a witch and somatic sexologist who helps post-religious people reclaim their bodies, minds, and souls so they can live a lush life. If you grew up being told your body was bad, your desires were dangerous, your intuition was the devil, and you didn’t belong to yourself, this is for you. Ex-evangelicals, ex-Mormons, ex-anything. Witches and the witch-curious. People who have already done the hard work of deconstructing in their minds, but whose bodies haven’t quite caught up to what they know. That last part is the work. Sarai isn’t here to help you tear things down. You’ve already done that. She’s here for the rebuilding: learning to trust your own knowing again, in your body, so you can choose your life on purpose. Think of her less as the spiritual EMT and more as the proverbial physical therapist who helps you walk again. She does it through Pragmagick, her name for pragmatic magick that works in real life. It’s embodiment, ritual, tarot, energy work, and mythology as a language for meeting yourself, all grounded in the ordinary and the physical. And she follows the LeVar Burton rule of spirituality: she’ll tell you what’s true for her, but you don’t have to take her word for it. You get to decide what your life means.
