Euro Tripping on Mayo, James Beard Chili & Travel Dreams

The ladies are back in action with another BTB episode.  This week’s eats starts with Denise who traveled to Scotland, England & France.  She talks about all the gnarly Scottish sausage and “brown sauce” and a sad take on fish & chips -- but is redeemed by the cheap wine and French breakfast delicacies.  Late night donner kabobs also get a thumbs up.  And the group agrees that mayo in Europe is above and beyond what we got here.  So much food and not enough time – guess she better go back.  Terina talks up the DewDrop Inn (Uptown) for their delicious mussels with multiple sauce options.  Sarah wraps up EOTW with a Taco De Mexico visit.  The James Beard Award winning green chili isworth checking out.  The shaker asks us this week “What are some of your bucketlist items?”  Denise already completed a major one skydiving, but would love to learn how to ride a motorcycle and travel to Japan for some Disney park perks. Terina talks travel goals, wanting to see the Great Pyramids of Egypt, Iceland & Antarctica.  Sarah’s main aspiration is to voice a cartoon character – unless it’s a bird.  Sarah agrees with the more travel consensus.  Looks like we all need more stamps on our passports.  Cherry on Top this week kicks off with Terina FINALLY getting to gush over seeing Ed Sheeran.  Yes, it was magical and she cried.  Denise is pretty much set with all her Europe travels, hard to pick just one, but shares some fond memories of Universal Studios.  Sarah saw the new Obsession movie and highly recommends, as long as you like horror flicks. The Good, The Bad, and The Doritos Locos Tacos

Bitches.  It’s time for another episode of the BTB Pod! Sorry to be MIA last week, Denise was “out of office” doing fun things in Europe.  This week the ladies dive straight into their EOTW’s starting with Terina who got spicy at Fire on the Mountain – highlighting their multiple locations, multiple sauces, and multiple menu choices.  You can even get the sauces to go – yes, we’ll take them all. Denise hit up Mr. Patron, in Denver, for a Mexican buffet.  There are mixed reviews on the food, and the ladies are shook hearing there were no tortillas.  Yeah, what?  Sarah wraps up EOTW with her trip to Sexy Pizza in the Highlands.  According to the guy working there they are the sexiest location…that’s up for debate.  But there is no debate that the NY style pizza is yummy and there is a Sweet Action ice cream shop conveniently across the street. Onto our shaker question of “What is your favorite type / kind of taco?” Don’t forget the toppings either.  Santiagos gets a solid endorsement from Denise for their lack of grease and fresh crunch.  Cochino Taco in Englewood gets a strong vote for their crunchy tacos and Doritos nachos.  And let’s not forget our always solid Taco Bell with their Doritos Locos Taco, that has Terina ordering Uber Eats at 2 am. For Cherry on Top Terina gushes over the new Minions and Monsters movie she’s about to see.  Denise enjoyed a graduation party which caused all of us to reminisce about the good ole’ days.  Sarah caps it off with her work outing to Chatfield Botanic Gardens with so, so BBQ but a fun lil butterfly experience. Like, subscribe, review, and send us a topic for the shaker—wewant to hear from you. Pull up a chair, grab a drink, brunch is served. Steak Hookup, Casa Bonita Entertainment & Keeping it Weird at Meow Wolf

The bitches are back for Episode 14 kicking off the Eat of the Week with Denise’s influencer tasting event at Eddie Merlot.  She was hooked up – lobster everything, ahi tuna wontons, wagyu sliders and cocktails that left her tipsier than expected.  Terina’s EOTW was an oldie but goodie, Steakhouse 10 in Denver.  The ambiance, Chilean sea bass, spicy blue cheese dressing and lobster bisque were all notable.  And let’s not forget the incredible wine selection.  Sarah hit up the one-of-a-kind Casa Bonita, full of entertainment and somewhat decent Mexican food.  Everything is magical inside, minus the cocktails.  The South Park Creators did a bang-up job remodeling which you can learn all about in their documentary. The shaker this week asks us “Can brunch have a theme?”  Umm, YES it most certainly can.  Maybe not all the time, but it does make it fun.  The ladies talk Drag Brunch, Golden Girls, Flight Club (where you can play darts) and an idea for a “trash panda” theme that just might happen. Then we pop over to our Cherry on Top for the week.  Denise plans to spend some quality time with her husband & his aunts at their family cabin in the woods, playing Rummikub and enjoying some nature.  Terina enjoyed a friend’s laid-back wedding reception and now wants a 3D printer.  Sarah and her husband took their niece to Meow Wolf, an interactive art exhibit in Denver.  Full of whimsy and weirdness, it’s a must see.  Not to mention Denver has one of the best ones.  Like, subscribe, review, and send us a topic for the shaker—wewant to hear from you. Cookie Monster Donuts, Comfy Pants & an Ed Sheeran Concert

The BTB crew comes in hot this episode with some USA spirit and a few group EOTW’s.  First stop is Anna’s Donuts and Burritos.  Sarah tries a Cookie Monster donut and tells everyone why they should follow Cookie on Insta. Denise & Terina talk highly of the customizable filled chocolate rounds, kolache (that’s a wrapped wiener), and a massive, highly filling breakfast burrito packed with tater tots, egg, cheese, and bacon. Yes please.  Our second group outing was Odie B’s in the Denver Highlands.  Mixed reviews of the food, but the drinks were on point (we’ll allow the green olive in the Aperolspritz).  The atmosphere is hopping, but don’t forget to follow the rules.  The good times continued after brunch at the Highlands Street Fair & Three Dogs Tavern where good times, good drinks and a surprise run in with Eric Swick (shout out Eric aka Dad) all went down. The shaker is shook and the topic this week is “How do you do comfy?” First off, the bra comes off.  Comfy pants, cozy blankets (even in the summer), Walmart work out clothes and sleep shirts all make the list.  Sometimes you need 6 blankets and a squish-mallow that looks like a squirrel to really settle in (according to Fiona the bulldog).  When it comes to comfort foods Denise loves her mug of Celestial Seasonings tea (she has ALL the flavors), while Sarah always relies on her sunflower seeds.  The group takes a slight detour to the intricacies of a Nespresso machine and grocery delivery wins and woes. For Cherry on Top Terina shares her excitement for the upcoming Zed’s Dead Jamboree with Mary Droppinz as support playing all over Denver.  And let’s not forget Terina is also seeing everyone’s favorite ginger, Ed Sheeran, at Empower Field on the 4th of July. Denise’s cherry is the group brunch and shop date the three had together, because it was a damn good time.  Sarah dives into the new Scary Movie – movie.  Classic characters, 420 jokes a plenty and Karen in the front row laughing loudly. The Ladies Are Out in More Ways Than One

We are back in action with Episode 12 of the BTB Podcast.  Terina starts off our EOTW with Chicken N Pickle in Thornton, serving up $15 half rotisserie chickens, flash-fried brined wings, chorizo queso, and fancy cocktails.  Terina warns us if you play the game, do NOT dive for the ball or you could end up with a face full of concrete.  Denise takes us to Blue Island Oyster Bar for a mixed grilled seafood plate (salmon, shrimp, scallops and octopus), shishito peppers, and smooth whipped butter with ciabatta bread.  Not to mention the “Salty Girl” espresso martini, perfect for National Martini Day – which she let the bartender know was happening.  Sarah rounds out the EOTW with her trip to Hiro Japanese Buffet in Aurora.  A bit sketchy from the outside, but the fried wantons and dessert are on par and the service ain’t bad. The shaker asks the question “What are some guilty pleasure food items you enjoy?”  We all know candy is making it on the list one way or another.  Denise shouts out her all time fave – Olive Garden Chicken Scampi (duh).  Terina talks carbs and Sarah drools over melted peanut butter in a cup (thanks to AJ). Uncrustables make an appearance, even sometimes with siracha.  No judgement.  And let’s not forget our must have favorite -- Taco Bell.  The 5th meal is a guilty pleasure for all. For Cherry on Top Terina kicks things off with her visit to the Red Bull Soapbox Derby at Mile High stadium.  Parking & water were hard to come by, but watching the goofy, creative team skits and rides down the 40-foot drop were worth it.  Shout outs for Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed and Cape Fear on Apple TV.  Look at you Apple, having a bunch of good shows, we see you.  Denise stays on the 40+ side seeing DJ Hardwell at the Junkyard in Denver.  New venue, but not so sure about location.  Sarah wraps us up with a tour of Marjorie Park in Greenwood Village, exploring their kitschy fairy tale "curiosities exhibit" filled with hidden compartments, alongside beautiful bronze and marble statues themed around Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland. Out in the Wild @ Cheba Hut DTC

This week the BTB Crew is out in the wild recording at ChebaHut in DTC -- if you hear cars or random music in the background, that's why.  This is officially our Eat of the Week.Terina got the Nug (smallest size) of the White Widow with chicken & bacon but swapped the provolone for jalapeño cream cheese – yes please. Sarah went the salad route with the same White Widow, no swap, still delish. Denise got the LaCanna as a salad, basically an Italian sub situation. Toasted subs, Zapp's chips, and a two-page secret menu you gotta know someone to get. The murals at every location are out of this world, free munchies they basically force on you... it's a whole vibe. Oh, and Denise is sipping her usual — a Hash Can, which is basically a Long Island iced tea with watermelon Red Bull, limited to two because they're strong. The shaker asks the Topic of the Week: What is one of thebest gifts you’ve ever received? Denise shouts out her oversized Rezz hoodie from Terina — comfy, thick, perfect for Denver winters. Denise talks about her master skills at earring-hunting while traveling (shoutout to festival finds). Terina goes full cheese and says the real gift is…friendship.  Moving to Denver not knowing anyone and being adopted by these two, plus that whole 40th birthday blowout they threw for her. Cue the tears. Sarah mentions the handmade stained glass and wood carving of her dog Fiona from Molly's family — one of a kind, captures her perfectly. And don't forget the custom dog calendars Sarah made everyone in Canva, printed huge at Walgreens — Pepper looks amazing in the summer ones, just saying. For Cherry on Top Terina deep dives into Widow's Bay on Apple TV — comedy horror, with solid writing and apparently filmed in Gloucester and Rockport, Massachusetts, which the crew has visited. Small world. Meanwhile, Sarah is hooked on the true crime Squatters series on Hulu which spirals into Terina’s WILD story of squatters breaking into her old apartment, stealing everything, pouring bleach over what was left, and the cops basically couldn't do anything because of squatter rights. Scary stuff.  Denise did the Boulder thing: a Celestial Seasonings tea tasting tour (for like the 10th time, unlimited tea, obviously bought way too many boxes), Half Fast Subs, & The Sink.  Finishing strong with a shout out to Candlelight Tavern where Denise & Terina enjoyed cheap burgers, friendly bartenders, perfect day. MJ Songs, Bad Shopping Decisions & a Pauly Shore Shout Out

The BTB crew kicks things off with a full breakdown ofthe new Michael Jackson movie, including theater chair dancing, debates over Janet Jackson's absence, and why everyone suddenly wants a giraffe. For our EOTW Denise flies to Austin for a one-day barbecue mission featuring free beerwhile waiting in line for melt-in-your-mouth brisket. Terina hits up Main Street Restaurant in Idaho Springs for fresh-baked jalapeño cheddar bread, all the lobster options, and french fries worthy of their own fan club. Sarah takes a trip to Cuba Cuba in Castle Rock for cubanos, mojitos, and unexpected salsa dancing.  Our weekly shaker question begs to ask if brunch andshopping belong together? And the answer is a unanimous YES -- but handle with caution. Stories of local artisan markets, expensive hats, and preparations forthe annual Oddities & Curiosities Expo, where coffin furniture, creepy art, and questionable financial decisions await. The wallet might hurt, but the swag is worth it.  For Cherry on Top, Terina falls down the rabbit hole ofDiscovery's Mystery at Blind Frog Ranch, complete with hidden treasure, strange folklore, and enough conspiracy theories to fuel six seasons. Denise shares her front-row experience seeing Pauly Shore live, including audience participation, awkwardly close encounters, and an appearance from his adorable dog. Sarah wraps things up with a spotlight on Roman Candle, a female-fronted metal band from Las Vegas that's quickly becoming a new obsession.  Like, subscribe, review, and send us a topic for theshaker—we want to hear from you. Eats & Drinks with a Disco C**k in RiNo

We're back at the table for our longest BTB episode yet -- time to dig in. Kicking off with our EOTW Terina hits up Riot Barbecue in Denver for all the meats one can imagine. Plus a shoutout to Stir Pan Creamery on Pearl Street for rolled ice cream that somehow stays creamy a week later. Denise takes us to 303 Sports Bar in Lone Tree where the Reuben tops the charts, the mac and cheese is dangerously creamy, and there’s Chicken Vodka that costs $5 and nobody knows why it's called that. Sarah hits up Topgolf for a teacher end-of-year party where golf skills are refined and chicken fingers are consumed. Then we shake it up and pull this week's topic: best happy hour in Denver. Trash Hawk gets a passionate endorsement for their buy one get one deal, and their resident bar dog who just wants to be petted. Hapa sushi gets the Broncos game 50% off your entire tab co-sign. And Zane's Italian gets called out for half off everything, every single day, including wings. Let’s go. For Cherry on Top, Terina is hooked on Rooster on HBO and may or may not find Steven Carell attractive now. Denise went to the Adventure Time bar on South Broadway during their Candy Land theme -- scratch and sniff walls, a Willy Wonka photo op, and a $25 cloud drink served on a plate. And they discover Hell or High Water relocated to RiNo, which means the disco c**k is still alive and spinning. Then things take a final turn into true crime territory with Netflix's The Crash.
