    Not Everything Needs Defending

    Have you ever felt like you had to explain yourself just so people would understand your heart? This episode started with a simple thirty-second conversation in Nashville that unexpectedly became a much bigger lesson. We’re talking about over-explaining, discernment, healthy boundaries, healing, and learning that not everyone is meant to have access to every part of what God is doing in your life. There’s a difference between accountability and interrogation. There’s a difference between transparency and access. And sometimes the most mature thing we can do is let people misunderstand us while continuing to obey God.     Lately, I haven’t felt confused… just resistant. This episode is probably the most honest one yet. We’re talking about delayed obedience, flesh vs Spirit, comfort becoming an idol, grieving old versions of ourselves, and what it feels like when God is asking you to surrender deeper than you expected. Because sometimes the hardest part isn’t hearing God. It’s knowing exactly what He’s asking… and still hesitating. James 4:17, Romans 7, Galatians 5:17, Peter stepping onto the water, the tension between old comfort and new obedience… all of it collided in this conversation. Maybe conviction isn’t condemnation.     Too much. Too deep. Too different. Or maybe just growing. Lately I’ve been realizing that the more I choose God, the more things around me start changing. The support changes. Relationships change. Boundaries change. And suddenly people are confused when you don’t want the same things you used to. In this episode, I talk about feeling lonely without being alone, struggling with obedience, wanting deeper relationships, feeling like “too much,” and learning how to be content with where God has me while still believing He has more for me. Because maybe lonely doesn’t always mean wrong. Maybe sometimes it just means you’re finally leaving behind the things that were never meant to come with you.
