Episode #8 Which Master are you serving? Jesus or the World? Mega Churches?

In this episode of Called and Running, we ask one of the most important questions every believer must answer: Who is your master—Jesus or the world? We dive into what Scripture says about the posture of our hearts, the daily battle between following Christ and chasing the things of this world, and what it truly means to walk the narrow path. We also discuss how the modern Church can encourage, challenge, and hold one another accountable so that no one has to walk this journey alone. Then we tackle one of Christianity's most debated topics: megachurches. Are they inherently bad, or are we asking the wrong questions? Instead of judging a church by its size, we explore the biblical standards that actually matter: Is the gospel being faithfully preached? Is the doctrine biblically sound? Is there genuine spiritual fruit? Is there authentic community and discipleship? Are people being reached with the love and truth of Jesus? Our goal isn't to defend or condemn any particular church, but to encourage believers to evaluate every ministry through the lens of God's Word rather than public opinion. Whether you're a new believer, have questions about finding a church home, or simply want to grow deeper in your walk with Christ, this conversation will challenge you to examine your heart and keep your eyes fixed on Jesus. Key Scriptures: Matthew 6:24, Matthew 7:13–20, John 13:35, Hebrews 10:24–25, Galatians 5:22–23, Acts 2:42–47. If this episode encourages you, be sure to like, subscribe, and share it with someone who needs to hear the truth of the Gospel. God is always the Great Multiplier. Episode #7 Nobody Told Me THIS About Following Jesus… | The Truth Every New Believer Needs To Hear

In this episode we unpack a massive shift happening in the culture. Taking a dive deep into what Jonah calls a "hurricane of grace"—a massive spiritual fire spreading through the young adult community—and how to properly steward that momentum without burning out or fumbling your faith.  Whether you are a brand-new believer trying to figure out your next steps, or a mature Christian wanting to better equip the next generation, this episode pulls back the curtain on the raw, unfiltered realities of walking with Christ.   Key Moments & Takeaways:  The Enthusiastic Mistakes of New Faith: Dakoda and Jonah look back at their early days, confessing how they mistakenly tried to "play God" by forcing theology down people's throats instead of simply sharing their stories and letting the Holy Spirit work.   Planting Seeds Correctly:  The guys share a game-changing perspective shift on evangelism, meaning your job isn't to force a conversion on day one. It’s about moving people just a little bit closer to Jesus, one intentional relationship at a time.   Where to Start Reading When You’re Overwhelmed:  With 66 books in the Bible, getting started is intimidating. The hosts explain why pouring a solid foundation in the Gospels is crucial before trying to decode the complexities of the Old Testament.   Killing Sin in the Light:  Jonah and Dakoda take aim at the toxic cultural narrative that men shouldn't be vulnerable or show emotion. They discuss the absolute necessity of strategic, biblical confession within a trusted community to break addictions and heal generational trauma.   Correction vs. Hypocritical Judgment:  The brothers clear up the massive cultural misunderstanding surrounding the phrase "do not judge," outlining the scriptural obligation believers have to lovingly correct and support one another.   Scriptures Unpacked: 1 Corinthians 3: Moving from milk to solid food.   James 5:16: Confessing to one another for true healing.   Matthew 7: Dealing with the log in your own eye first.   Acts 5:17–41: Finding boldness in the face of heavy opposition.   Final Thought: "The cross is absolute proof that God can turn the worst thing in your life into the best thing. If He can take the brutal murder of the perfect Son of God and turn it into the absolute best thing that’s ever happened, what do you think He can do with your struggles?" — Jonah  Ready to stop trying to piece the puzzle together on your own? Tune in and let internal revival start today. Let us know what you think! or if you have any topic requests we would love to hear your input! God Bless!!

Episode #2 Hard Truths Nobody Wants to Hear

In this powerful episode of Called & Running, Jonah and Dakoda dive into a topic that many believers have been wrestling with: Why are so many churches silent on the truth? Together, they unpack the growing trend of churches and pastors avoiding difficult but necessary conversations about the Gospel, repentance, sin, and the call to true discipleship. They discuss where some pastors may be falling short from the pulpit, the pressures that contribute to watered-down messages, and why biblical truth must never be compromised for comfort, culture, or popularity. The conversation then turns to the topic of "Lukewarm Christianity." What does it mean to be lukewarm? Is lukewarm faith biblical? What does Scripture actually say about believers who claim faith but live with one foot in the world and one foot in the Kingdom? Jonah and Dakoda challenge listeners to examine their own walk with Christ and explore what genuine faith, repentance, obedience, and surrender truly look like. They also discuss practical ways churches can better equip believers, boldly preach God's Word, and cultivate a culture centered on Jesus rather than worldly acceptance. Whether you're a pastor, church leader, longtime believer, or someone searching for deeper truth, this episode will encourage you to move beyond complacency and pursue a wholehearted relationship with Christ. What can the Church do better? What does authentic faith look like? And how do we leave lukewarm Christianity behind and fully surrender our lives to Jesus? Let's dive in together and find out. Let us know what you think! or if you have any topic requests we would love to hear your input! God Bless!!
