English: David Esquitino is a known spanish music journalist (and writer) with more than 25 years of experience (and presence) in musical journalism (rock and metal specially). Now is the moment to recover some of the great and important interviews that he has made during those years and for different media as Redhardnheavy.com, Rafabasa.com, Corsarios del Metal (radio program) or MariskalRock.com and La Heavy magazine (before was the classic Heavy Rock, the most important rock magazine in Spain since 1982). Most of them are in english (and with international artist) and made in different eras and contexts and moments but will recover in any moment other interviews in spanish also (with big spanish artists). Some of them are unique and the documentary and historical value is great. Specially with artists that are no longer with us. Every week (and probably twice a week if the response it´s ok) we´ll be publising those interviews from 2003 to nowadays. Some of them made face to face and others by phone or videocall. But here we´re going to publish just in audio. Dive with us into the amazing world of hearing artists first-hand, talking about both the present and their history across different moments over the last 25 years. Between everyone involved—artists, media, promoters, record labels, agents, and more—we have built the current rock scene, and we find it fascinating to take a look back at how the foundations of today’s situation were laid in the new century. Spanish: David Esquitino es un conocido periodista musical español (también escritor) con más de 25 años de experiencia en el Periodismo musical especializado (en rock y metal soobre todo). Ahora es el momento de recuperar algunas de las grandes e importantes entrevistas que ha realizado durante todos estos años para distintos medios como Redhardnheavy.com, Rafabasa.com, Corsarios del Metal (programa de radio), MariskalRock.com o La Heavy (antes la clásica Heavy/Rock, la revista de rock más importante de España desde 1982). La mayoría de ellas están en inglés (y con artistas internacionales) y fueron realizadas en diferentes épocas, contextos y momentos, pero también iremos recuperando en cualquier momento otras entrevistas en español (con grandes artistas nacionales). Algunas de ellas son únicas y tienen un gran valor documental e histórico, especialmente en el caso de artistas que ya no están con nosotros. Cada semana (y probablemente dos veces por semana si la respuesta es buena) iremos publicando estas entrevistas desde 2003 hasta la actualidad. Algunas se realizaron cara a cara y otras por teléfono o videollamada pero aquí las colgaremos en audio y en modo podcast. Sumérgete con nosotros en el fascinante mundo de escuchar a los artistas de primera mano hablando tanto del presente como de su historia durante diferentes momentos de los últimos 25 años. Entre todos, artistas, medios, promotores, sellos, agentes... hemos construido la actualidad del rock, y nos parece genial poder echar una mirada atrás a cómo se fueron poniendo los cimientos de la situación en el nuevo siglo.

    Just before the great concert in Madrid, in sala La Riviera (thursday 16th june, 2005), we had the great opportunity to talk with Ronnie James Dio (yes, DIO, BLACK SABBATH / HEAVEN AND HELL and RAINBOW), in a nice interview face to face in an hotel, near to the venue. We should have had 20 min of interview, but, Dio look at his manager and sais "relax, we are talking...", and we can do it double time.  It was in the 'Master of the Moon' (2004) tour but talk about many classical things in the interview. He was kind, honest, close and really nice to us. Dio himself!!! It´s and honour to start this classical series of interviews of the last 25 years with the most special one. Long live Rock n´Roll!!!  P.D. - The sound and even our level in the interview are exactly the same as we did that day. We are spanish and in those days our english is worst than now. Even the quality of our recorder, but the own document speaks for itself.
