In this episode of the Bee Formless™ Flow Driven CEO Podcast, I connected with Dr. Joseph Antoun, Chairman and CEO of L-Nutra, for a conversation that challenged some of what we have come to accept about ageing, from declining health to the way we eat, work and keep asking our bodies to perform without creating much space for regeneration. Joseph has spent decades at the intersection of medicine, nutrition and longevity, with much of his work beginning from something woven into the rhythm of our lives: food. We consume it several times a day, yet rarely consider what could change if we saw it not only as fuel, pleasure or calories, but as an asset for longevity. We explored L-Nutra and ProLon, biological age, fasting-mimicking nutrition, intermittent versus prolonged fasting and why Joseph believes periods of fasting can create an opportunity for repair and renewal. He kept returning to the analogy of a racing car, which I loved because however powerful the car, we would never expect it to race indefinitely without coming into the pits to check what is wearing down, make repairs and prepare for what comes next. It had me think about how rarely we apply the same logic to ourselves when constant consumption, stimulation, optimisation and output have become the norm.. Our conversation didn't stay with the body, Joseph sees nutrition, movement, stress, sleep, community and purpose as interconnected parts of longevity, taking us into loneliness, technology and the possibility that AI could return something increasingly precious: time. Do we use those hours to produce even more, or return some of that space to creativity, connection, contribution and the people we love? Joseph's dad gave him a philosophy that brought so much of this together: “We were born on this planet not to be a doctor, not to be whatever.” Beneath the science and ambition of L-Nutra, this became a conversation about more than extending life; it was also about staying well enough to experience it and remembering what we want all that extra time to be for. THE SHAPE SHIFT IN MOTION What if longevity also asks us to create space for renewal? LEARN (LETTING GO) ✨ Let go of accepting declining health as simply part of ageing. ✨ Question food as only fuel, calories or weight management. ✨ Release the need to turn every hour saved into more output. UNLEARN (CREATE, REIMAGINE & RESHAPE) ✨ Reimagine longevity as more than adding years. ✨ Reshape food, fasting and regeneration as a wider system. ✨ Bring community, purpose and happiness into living well. RELEARN (TEST & IMPLEMENT) ✨ Be intentional about what we eat, when we eat and how we move. ✨ Create boundaries around work and space for people who matter. ✨ See sleep, stress, connection and recovery as interconnected. ACTIVE RECOVERY (REFLECT & RESET) ✨ Where might your life need a pit stop? ✨ What has become “normal” that is worth questioning? ✨ If AI gave you more time, what would you do with it? 🔗 linkedin.com/in/drjosephantoun 🌐 https://www.l-nutra.com/ 💭 Where could creating space for renewal change how you live?
