Ep 16: Feel Your Feelings & Heal - Emotions aren't problems to solve.

Download your Free Feel Your Feelings Guide How to Actually Feel Your Feelings You've heard it a hundred times — "just feel your feelings." But what if you've been thinking about your emotions all these years instead of actually feeling them? In this episode, Julie opens up about the misunderstanding that kept her stuck for two decades: mistaking the story in her head for the emotion in her body. Venting to a friend, replaying the situation, analyzing why it happened — it feels like processing, but it's really just reliving. She walks through what changed everything for her, including a recent moment of waking up with unexplained sadness and, instead of judging it or explaining it away, getting curious about where it lived in her body — and what happened when she simply let it be there. Darlene and Amy join in with their own experiences. Darlene shares a lifetime of "stuffing it down" and a breathing practice from Dr. Sue Morter's The Energy Codes that's been helping her meet emotions in the body instead of the mind. Amy brings her perspective as a yoga teacher — how the body stores what we suppress, the years-long digestive struggles that finally resolved once she started doing the work, and why so much chronic pain and tension is the body holding what the mind refuses to feel. You'll learn: The difference between emotional management (what most of us were taught) and emotional processing (what actually works)Why thoughts live in the mind but emotions live in the body — and why that distinction changes everythingA simple, step-by-step way to notice, locate, and stay with a feeling without judging it or diving back into the storyEvery emotion you've ever had has wanted one simple thing: not to be fixed, judged, or explained — just to be felt. Ep 15: Belief Systems: Are They Just a Bunch of BS?

Download your free BOP Flow In this episode of Path to Peace and Purpose, we’re talking about our BS — Belief Systems — and the hidden stories that quietly shape how we see ourselves, other people, and the world around us. Most of us are living from beliefs we never consciously chose. We inherited them, absorbed them, repeated them, and eventually started calling them truth. Beliefs like “I’m not enough,” “I can’t trust myself,” “I have to earn love,” or “My needs don’t matter” can become subconscious programs running in the background of our lives. In this conversation, we explore how those beliefs show up in real time through what I call BOPs — Bubbles of Perception. These are the instant interpretations that pop up when something happens: someone doesn’t text back, walks into the room in a mood, disagrees with us, or responds differently than we expected. And before we know it, we’re reacting not to reality itself, but to the story our belief system assigned to it. I also share one of my own core beliefs — “I can’t trust my own judgment” — and how it shaped years of self-doubt, overthinking, reassurance-seeking, and constantly looking outside myself for answers. This episode is an invitation to slow down, notice the bubbles, question the beliefs underneath them, and ask one powerful question: Is it 100% true? Because maybe self-trust isn’t about having all the answers. Maybe it’s about becoming aware enough to choose what you actually believe — and giving yourself permission to outgrow the stories that no longer fit.

Ep 10: The Power of Thought - How your inner dialog shapes your peace, your choices, and your life.

What if your thoughts aren’t just passing ideas… but the blueprint of your entire life? In this episode of Path to Peace and Purpose, Julie dives into the powerful connection between your thoughts, your beliefs, and the reality you’re creating—whether you realize it or not. Blending neuroscience with spiritual insight, she breaks down how your mind shapes your experiences, why your brain responds to imagined scenarios as if they’re real, and how your dominant thoughts become the filter through which you see the world. Through relatable examples (including the eye-opening “lemon experiment”), you’ll discover how your nervous system, subconscious mind, and Reticular Activating System (RAS) work together to reinforce the thoughts you repeatedly think. The takeaway? You are not stuck—you are programmed, and you can change the program. Darlene shares her personal journey of stepping into a new season of life—selling her home and embracing uncertainty—and how this conversation served as a powerful reminder to take ownership of her thoughts during moments of fear and doubt. In this episode, you’ll learn: Why your thoughts are not passive—they’re creative forcesHow repeated thoughts become beliefs (and shape your reality)The role of your brain’s RAS in filtering your experiencesWhy negative thought loops feel so hard to breakSimple, practical ways to shift your thinking in real timeHow gratitude can instantly change your emotional stateHow to start “rehearsing” your future self todayIf you’ve ever felt stuck in overthinking, fear, or old patterns… this episode will remind you that you have more power than you think. 🎧 Plus: Download the free Thought Blueprint Worksheet linked in this episode to start becoming more aware of your thoughts and intentionally creating new ones.
