    Life is a Gift

What if some of the things you're praying for today are things you once prayed to have?Life can become so familiar that we forget how much of it is actually a gift.We wake up. We go to work. We spend time with people we love. We make plans for tomorrow. And somewhere in the routine of everyday life, it's easy to begin treating as ordinary the things God never promised us we would have forever. In this episode of The Freedom Fam Podcast, we have an honest conversation about what it means to recognize life as a gift from God and how that realization should change the way we live.Your time is a gift.Your relationships are gifts.Your opportunities are gifts.Your abilities are gifts.Even the breath in your lungs right now is something you didn't give yourself. The question isn't simply, "What has God given me?"The deeper question is:"What am I doing with what God has given me?"In this episode, we discuss:Why it's so easy to take life for grantedRecognizing the everyday blessings we often overlookThe difference between simply being alive and intentionally livingWhy gratitude changes the way we experience lifeLearning to appreciate people while they're still hereThe importance of being present instead of constantly chasing what's nextHow our perspective changes when we realize tomorrow isn't guaranteedStewarding the time, relationships, gifts, and opportunities God has entrusted to usWhy comparison can make us overlook what's already in our handsLiving with greater purpose and intentionalityBecoming the person God created you to be with the life He's given youSometimes we're so focused on what's missing that we stop appreciating what's present. We're waiting for the next promotion. The next relationship. The next accomplishment. The next season. The next answered prayer. And while we're waiting for the life we think we want, we can completely miss the life God has already given us.One day, some of the moments that feel ordinary right now may become the moments you wish you could experience one more time. That's why gratitude isn't just saying "thank you."It's recognizing the value of something while you still have it.This conversation is an invitation to slow down, look around, and ask yourself whether you're truly appreciating the gift you've been given.Because life isn't simply something to get through.Life is something to steward. And if God has given you another day, another opportunity, another conversation, another chance to love somebody, another chance to grow, and another chance to become who He created you to be...Don't waste the gift.💬 Question for you:What's something in your life today that you never want to take for granted again?Let us know in the comments. Sometimes hearing what someone else is grateful for reminds us of the blessings we've stopped noticing in our own lives.👍 If this conversation encouraged you or challenged your perspective, like the video, subscribe to The Freedom Fam Podcast, and share this episode with someone you want to remind that their life matters. And before you move on to whatever is next today, take a moment to appreciate what's already here. You have one life. The Roles We Play - Child of God (Full Episode)

The Roles We Play: Child of God | The Complete Conversation In this complete conversation, we discuss: Before you are a parent, spouse, leader, employee, friend, or anything else, there is an identity that should shape every other role you will ever carry: You are a child of God. But what does it actually mean to live like one? In this special full-length episode of The Freedom Fam Podcast, we're bringing together all three parts of The Roles We Play: Child of God into one complete conversation about identity, spiritual maturity, obedience, deception, and the lifelong process of becoming who God created us to be. God doesn't simply want us to acknowledge Him—He desires a relationship with us as our Father. And just as a loving parent develops, teaches, corrects, protects, and prepares their children, our Heavenly Father has a plan for our growth. God wants to mature us. God wants to develop our character. God wants to teach us how to trust Him. God wants to prepare us for the purpose and responsibilities He has placed on our lives. But God isn't the only one trying to influence the direction of our lives. The enemy has a strategy too. Satan seeks to deceive, distract, tempt, discourage, and ultimately convince us to choose paths that lead us further away from our Father. Sometimes those paths won't even look wrong. They may appear easier, more attractive, more comfortable, or even more fulfilling than God's way. That's why being a child of God requires more than simply knowing your identity. It requires learning how to live from it. What it truly means to be a child of GodWhy your identity in Christ should influence every other role you playGod's plan to develop and mature His childrenWhy spiritual growth is a lifelong processLearning to trust God when His process doesn't make senseThe role of correction, discipline, patience, and obedience in spiritual maturityHow Satan uses deception, temptation, and distractionWhy the enemy wants us to question God's character and intentionsRecognizing the voices influencing our decisionsThe difference between something looking good and actually being God's willWhy Satan doesn't always need you to stop believing in God—sometimes he simply needs you to stop trusting HimMoving from spiritual infancy toward spiritual maturityTaking responsibility for our spiritual developmentChoosing God's path when another path appears easierWhat it looks like to actually live as a child of GodThroughout this series, one truth becomes clear: There is a battle over who you are becoming. God desires to shape you into the person He created you to be, while the enemy wants to distort that identity and convince you to become someone God never intended you to be. The battle isn't only about whether you believe in God. It's about whose voice you trust, which path you follow, and who you become along the way. When we forget who we are, it becomes easier to allow circumstances, relationships, accomplishments, failures, culture, and even our past to define us. But when you understand whose you are, everything begins to change. The question is: Will you trust your Father enough to let Him develop you? 💬 Question for you:After watching the complete conversation, what is one area of your life where you believe God is currently challenging you to grow, mature, or trust Him more? Let us know in the comments. Your testimony or perspective may be exactly what another person needs to hear. 👍 If this conversation challenged you, encouraged you, or helped you better understand your identity in Christ, like this video, subscribe to The Freedom Fam Podcast, and share the complete episode with someone who needs to be reminded of who they are and whose they are. The Roles We Play - Child of God Pt. 3

The Roles We Play: Child of God | Part 3 What does it look like to stop simply knowing you're a child of God and actually start living like one?Throughout this series, we've explored the importance of understanding our identity, trusting God's process, recognizing the enemy's deception, and allowing our Heavenly Father to develop us into the people He created us to become. Now, in the final part of The Roles We Play: Child of God, we bring the conversation together by focusing on what it means to walk out that identity in our everyday lives.Being God's child doesn't mean we will never struggle, make mistakes, experience temptation, or go through difficult seasons. It means that through every season, we have a Father who loves us, corrects us, teaches us, develops us, and continually calls us back to Him. At the same time, we have an enemy who would love nothing more than to keep us spiritually immature, distracted, confused about our identity, and disconnected from the Father. The battle isn't only about what you believe. It's about who you are becoming. In this episode, we discuss: -What it means to actually live as a child of God -Moving from spiritual infancy toward spiritual maturity -Why God's development process doesn't stop when life becomes difficult -Learning to trust the Father even when you don't understand the process -How our decisions reveal which voice we're allowing to influence us -Recognizing the enemy's attempts to distract us from God's purpose -Why correction and discipline can be evidence of God's love -Taking responsibility for our spiritual growth -How our identity as God's children should influence every other role we play -Choosing God's path even when another path appears easier or more attractive One of the greatest dangers we face isn't simply forgetting that God exists. It's forgetting who we are because He exists. When we lose sight of our identity, it becomes easier for the enemy to convince us to live beneath what God has called us to, chase things that were never meant to fulfill us, and walk paths that slowly move us away from our Father. But when you truly understand whose you are, everything begins to change.Your identity changes. Your decisions change. Your priorities change. Your relationships change. And eventually, the person you're becoming changes. God isn't finished developing you. The question is whether you're willing to remain close enough to the Father to allow Him to complete the work He's doing in your life. 💬 Question for you: After watching this series, what is one area of your life where you believe God is calling you to grow from simply knowing His truth to actually living it out? Let us know in the comments. Your response may be exactly what someone else needs to read. 👍 If this conversation challenged, encouraged, or helped you see your relationship with God differently, like the video, subscribe to The Freedom Fam Podcast, and share this episode with someone who needs to be reminded of their identity as a child of God. The Roles We Play - Child of God Pt. 2

The Roles We Play: Child of God | Part 2What happens when God's plan for your life conflicts with the path you want to take?Being a child of God means more than simply knowing that God loves us. It means learning to trust Him as our Father—even when His direction, correction, timing, and process don't always make sense to us.In Part 2 of The Roles We Play: Child of God, we continue our conversation about spiritual maturity and the two competing influences seeking to shape the direction of our lives. God desires to develop His children, strengthen our faith, transform our character, and lead us toward His purpose. But the enemy wants to interrupt that process by offering alternatives that may look attractive in the moment but ultimately pull us further away from God.One of Satan's greatest weapons isn't always an obvious temptation—sometimes it's simply deception. If the enemy can convince us to question God's character, doubt His Word, misunderstand our identity, or believe that his path will give us something God is withholding from us, he can influence the decisions we make without us even realizing where those decisions are taking us.That's why spiritual maturity requires discernment. In this episode, we discuss:-What spiritual maturity looks like for a child of God-Learning to trust God's process even when we don't understand it-Why God allows His children to go through seasons of growth and development-How Satan uses deception, temptation, and distraction-The difference between something looking good and actually being God's will-Why the enemy wants us to question God's character and intentions-Recognizing the voices influencing our decisions-Choosing obedience when another path appears easier-Developing the discernment necessary to recognize truth from deception-Why becoming who God created us to be is a lifelong processThe enemy doesn't necessarily have to convince you to stop believing in God.Sometimes he only needs to convince you to stop trusting Him.And when we begin believing that our way is better than God's way, we become vulnerable to paths that promise freedom while quietly leading us away from the Father. But God isn't simply interested in controlling our behavior. He's developing His children. He's teaching us how to trust Him, strengthening our character, correcting what needs to change, and preparing us for responsibilities we may not yet be mature enough to carry.💬 Question for you:Have you ever looked back at a season of your life and realized God was developing you even though you couldn't see it while you were going through it?Tell us about it in the comments.👍 If this conversation challenged or encouraged you, like the video, subscribe to The Freedom Fam Podcast, and share Part 2 with someone who is learning how to trust God's process in their life. And if you haven't watched Part 1 of The Roles We Play: Child of God, go back and start there before continuing with us into Part 3, where we'll take this conversation even deeper. The Freedom Fam Podcast — Biblical wisdom. The Roles We Play- Child of God Pt. 1

The Roles We Play: Child of God | Part 1Before you are a parent, spouse, employee, leader, friend, or anything else—you are a child of GodBut what does that actually mean?In Part 1 of The Roles We Play: Child of God, we explore one of the most important identities we will ever carry: our identity as God's children. Just as children grow, learn, mature, and are shaped by their parents, God desires to develop us throughout our lives into the people He created us to become. The challenge is that God isn't the only one trying to influence the direction of our lives. While God has a plan for our growth, maturity, purpose, and relationship with Him, the enemy also has a strategy—to deceive us, distract us, distort our identity, and convince us to choose a path that leads us further away from our Heavenly Father. In this episode of The Freedom Fam Podcast, we have an honest conversation about the battle between these two paths and why understanding whose child you are can completely change how you approach life.In this episode, we discuss:* What it truly means to be a child of God* Why understanding your identity matters* God's desire to develop and mature His children* Why growth often requires correction, discipline, patience, and trust* How Satan uses deception to influence the paths we choose* The danger of allowing the world to define who you are* Learning to recognize the difference between God's direction and the enemy's deception* Why spiritual maturity requires more than simply believing in God* How our relationship with our Heavenly Father should shape every other role we playThere will always be voices competing for your attention, your decisions, and ultimately the direction of your life. The question becomes:Which voice are you going to trust?Understanding that you are a child of God isn't simply about knowing what to call yourself. It's about learning to trust your Father, receive His correction, follow His direction, and allow Him to develop you into the person He created you to become.💬 Question for you:What's one area of your life where God may be trying to grow or mature you right now?Let us know in the comments—we'd love to hear your perspective.👍 If this conversation encouraged or challenged you, like the video, subscribe to The Freedom Fam Podcast, and share this episode with someone who needs to be reminded of who they are in Christ. And make sure you continue with Part 2 of The Roles We Play: Child of God as we go even deeper into what it means to live, grow, and mature as children of our Heavenly Father. The Freedom Fam Podcast — Biblical wisdom.
