Snatched Up

Jennifer Clancy and Amber Hartley

Snatched Up is the unfiltered podcast for women who've lived through some shit & learned to laugh about most of it. Hosted by Jenn Clancy & Amber Hartley — two single moms, two best friends, two careers we're proud of, & zero successful relationships between us — yet. Every week we're talking about the things your group chat won't shut up about: relationships & dating in real time, money, single mom life, blended family chaos, health, hormones, the 3 a.m. wake-ups, the Target parking lot meltdowns, & the "is this normal or do I need therapy" conversations. (Spoiler: it's always both.) We've made the mistakes — most of them twice — & spent a small fortune on therapy so you don't have to. We're not pretending we have it figured out. We're just further along than yesterday, & we want to bring you with us. Some weeks we'll make you think. Some weeks we'll make you cry. Most weeks, we'll make you laugh so hard you'll have to pull over. Welcome to Snatched Up. Let's get into it.

    I'm Tired of Being Tired

This week on Snatched Up, Jenn and Amber are talking about the kind of exhaustion sleep doesn't always fix: mental load, decision fatigue, overstimulation, burnout, and the invisible list of things constantly running through your brain. Because sometimes it's not the laundry that breaks you — it's remembering the laundry exists, knowing the detergent is low, scheduling the appointment, answering 47 questions, figuring out dinner, and then having someone ask you where the ketchup is. We're also getting real about why we disappeared for a few weeks and why sometimes even the things you love can start to feel like one more responsibility when life is already overflowing. Maybe balance isn't doing everything consistently. Maybe it's deciding what gets dropped for a minute — and refusing to feel guilty about it. Jenn and Amber dig into the mental load women often carry, the difference between someone "helping" versus actually owning a responsibility, weaponized incompetence versus different standards, being overstimulated and touched out, and why exhausted adults sometimes stay up way too late just because nighttime is finally theirs. And because this is Snatched Up, we're not turning burnout into another wellness assignment. We're talking about realistic resets, lowering the standard on purpose, letting some things be "good enough," and asking the most important question of adulthood: chef for life or personal assistant for life? If you've ever turned the radio off because one more sound might send you over the edge, ordered takeout because you physically could not make another decision, or stayed awake scrolling even though you were exhausted… this episode is for you.
