THE FAIRNESS OF THE KARMIC LAW

Janna Order Monastery

Hello everyone. Welcome to Janna's Audio Books. Today we begin a new journey with our book The Fairness of The Karma Law. This is a journey into one of the most powerful laws in the universe the law of karma the law of cause and effect. Many people wonder why good people sometimes suffer and why some harmful actions seem to go unpunished. Buddhism answers this question through the law of karma. Nothing happens without a cause and nothing disappears without leaving a result. Every thought, every word, and every action plants a seed. Some seeds grow quickly some grow slowly but none of them...

PART X - SOME TYPICAL CAUSES AND EFFECTS

PART X - SOME TYPICAL CAUSES AND EFFECTSYou will lose what you despise. If you despise your friends, you will have no friends and be lonely later on.You will have no children if you don’t love children. Once, a woman asked us, “Dear Master, I have got married for years but I do not have children. What should I do, Master?”We replied, “Our forefathers had a saying “If you love children, children will come to your house; if you respect the elderly, you will be long-lived.” Whenever you can love children who are not yours, you will naturally have children.”She said, “I have little love for children. Even for my nephews or nieces, I just hold them a little while.” This is her mistake. If you want to have children, you must do so many good deeds for children everywhere. In your village, you should come to any family that has children to offer milk, clothes and express your love to them, then you will have children. This is according to the law of Karma. Just because we don’t love children, then no children will be born into our family.”Showing no respect towards the elderly, you will die early. If you meet elderly people, you should obey and show respect to them. Why is that so? Because they have lived for ages, going through many ups and downs, experiencing many sufferings and now is the time for them to enjoy life. All of us have a responsibility to love the elderly and it is the morals of Vietnamese. Although there are many old people who are very strict and difficult, we still have to love and obey them.Having no filial piety for your parents or treating them badly, you will become orphaned in your next life. If you have no filial piety for your parents or treat them badly, then in your next life you will have no love from parents and soon be an orphan.Having no love for humans, in your next life, you won’t be allowed to live with humans but will be animals instead. If you do deforestation, and do not love this life, then in your next life you have no life. That is, after your death, you will become hungry ghosts and have no chance to become humans again. On the contrary, those who love trees and do afforestation will easily be reborn into nice places. If you have money but often overspend, in your next life, you will have no money. For example, if you have an amount of money that can raise several people in a certain time but you do not do so but spend on wrong things, in your next life, you will have no money. For instance, many rich men go to restaurants and invite some beautiful girls to sit with them. After the party, the men will give much money to those girls. That is giving money to wrong people and in the future, they have no money as a retribution of overspending.Miserliness causes you to have no money. For example, we have one hundred million VNDs but do not help poor men, then later on, this amount of money will be gone away. Those who overspend or are miserly will have no money. Only those who spend money on right things will have more and more money. Firstly, they may have ten million VNDs and gradually, they will have twenty or fifty million VNDs. And if we spend this amount on right things, we will have a bigger amount. Otherwise, if we overspend or are miserly, we will have no money.Beautiful mind creates beautiful faces. Beauty is very important and beautiful faces are necessary in this life, and are your pride and your blessing. Our mind is the cause and our appearances are the effects. We should look ourselves in the mirror to know our mind. If you see you are beautiful then you should know that your mind has been beautiful recently; otherwise, you should know that you are narrow-minded and selfish. #Buddha, #Buddhism, #Buddhist, #Truedharma, #Meditation, #Enlightenment, #Buddhatemple, #TheLawofKarma, #Blessing, #Goodblessing, #Janna, #JannaMonastery, #JannaOrderMonastery, #LawOfKarma, #CauseAndEffect, #UniversalTruth, #KarmicRetribution, #AxiomaticTruth, #PhilosophyOfMind,

PART IX - THE BENEFITS OF BELIEVING IN, UNDERSTANDING AND APPLYING THE LAW OF KARMA

PART IX - THE BENEFITS OF BELIEVING IN, UNDERSTANDING AND APPLYING THE LAW OF KARMARestraining ourselves - perfecting ourselvesThe more we understand the law of Karma, the more we fear it, hence the more we will be careful with every of our thoughts, every of our words and every of our actions. If we do not fully understand the law of Karma, we will live however we like. When we get angry, we will make others unhappy and when we feel happy, we are willing to help others. Our mood is not stable, thus, others are afraid of having a relationship with us. Those who understand and believe in the law of Karma will restrain themselves and if they are good they will be good forever, so anyone who makes friends with them will feel secure in all their life. The feeling of security that we make for our relatives and friends helps us earn outstanding blessing. The best result for those who understand and believe in the law of Karma is that they always control themselves, attempt to do good deeds and avoid doing bad deeds. We have not yet cared for what we will achieve in the future but for now, we are good people because we always try to control ourselves. Those who always control themselves are good ones. In other words, if you want to be a good one, you have to control yourselves. Those who persistently try to achieve whatever they desire are not good and unethical. To assess if someone is ethical, first, we should consider if they can restrain themselves. There are things that we desire but are not good for others, we then think them over and over and finally, we decide not to do. Restraining ourselves is the first sign of being ethical. The law of Karma helps us in restraining ourselves because we know the retribution for us will be. There are things we like to do but we always think about the effect they cause before making a final decision. This is a good thing that those who believe in the law of Karma provide our society. Thus, our society will be better and prosperous if there are many people like them because no one has the heart to make others miserable but want to bring them peace and happiness. When the law of Karma helps everyone control themselves, then surely our society will have only good things. Heaven will be, at that time, not far away but in a place that contains only people who understand and believe in the law of Karma because they will always be kind to others. The life of a Buddhist disciple must be based on wisdom and the understanding of the law of Cause and Effect but not something else. That means we must think the results/consequences we get from every single of our words or our actions. If you find that your words will create a bad karma, then don’t speak but repent your sin immediately; and if they create a blessing, then do it right away. A Buddhist must think about the results/consequences of his words and actions in every moment and gradually he will be more accurate, ethical, exemplary, careful, sensitive, and subtle. He will become a good communicator, although he doesn’t mean to.When one profoundly understands the law of Cause and Effect, first, he won’t able to be evil; second, he will be filled with good; third, he will always be kind to everyone, and fourth, he will have a subtle mind as courtesy, but this courtesy comes from his heart and compassion as the Buddha taught. Therefore, having a profound understand of the law of Cause and Effect, our manner will little by little become perfect.#Buddha, #Buddhism, #Buddhist, #Truedharma, #Meditation, #Enlightenment, #Buddhatemple, #TheLawofKarma, #Blessing, #Goodblessing, #Janna, #JannaMonastery, #JannaOrderMonastery, #LawOfKarma, #CauseAndEffect, #UniversalTruth, #KarmicRetribution, #AxiomaticTruth, #PhilosophyOfMind, #SpiritualLogic, #DialogueBuddhismReligions, #BeliefAndUnderstanding, #FirstPrinciples, #Metaphysics, #ConsciousEvolution, #Mindfulness, #AncientWisdom,

PART VIII - THE LEVELS OF RETRIBUTION

PART VIII - THE LEVELS OF RETRIBUTIONYou see, there are things that people do not notice, but the law of Karma does not omit even a tiny detail of them.Usually, retribution increases many times more than the root cause. As when we plant a banana tree, it will produce a lot of bananas as well as several young banana trees. Each banana tree keeps doing this until it is aging and will be replaced with a new one. When we sow a grain of rice, the rice tree will give us hundreds of grains. When we plant a litchi seed, the litchi tree will give us so many litchis in many years. Likewise, the effect of something is multiple times more than its cause and one cause may produce many effects. When we make someone happy, we will be multiple times happier. Why can one cause produce many effects? And what cause this to happen? For example, once we met a person who lacked twenty thousand VNDs to buy medicine. We gave him this lacking amount then forgot about it. And about ten years later, by a good chance, we earned two million VNDs. We don’t know that twenty thousand VNDs in the past became two million VNDs later. That means the result is multiple times more than its cause.Another example, in our neighboring village, there was a person whose house was burnt. Our village collected money of all the people to help that person. Each person was suggested to contribute one hundred thousand VNDs to that person. Everyone would contribute an equal amount of money. We might think that the result for each person is the same. Actually, it is not true because although they contributed the same amount of money but with different heart. For example, a rich person gave one hundred thousand VNDs as he thought if he had not given or had given a little amount, he would have felt uneasy. On the contrary, there was a person who also contributed the same amount but with his compassion and great care. Those who give alms without heart will receive the result worse than of those who do it with heart. We consider these two cases above as an example. The person who contributed one hundred thousand VNDs would receive five million VNDs in the future. However, the person who contributed the same amount but with his heart would receive one hundred million VNDs. Your heart when you give alms is the point.Keep in mind that we should help others with our heart because if we do it superficially, the sentiment between humans and humans will be not much and our result will be not so good. For example, a farmer who is plowing in his field discovers that he needs some more liters of oil to finish his work. He asks to borrow oil from us. We show great care to him and order our child to take some litters of oil to him. If we are enthusiastic in helping others, we will be greatly blessed; hence, we will have good fortune in the future. On the contrary, if we help people with less care, we will also have good luck but not much. The factors that increase our retributionThe first factor is our heart that makes the result we will achieve multiple times greater.Living in this life, we should have a good heart and this is very significant. Therefore, as of now, when going to temples, we should pray Buddha, “Dear Buddha, please help me to have compassion for all humans.” Perhaps, we are not able to give money to others but please love them. It will be better if we can both help others and feel compassionate towards them. If not, please have love for them. Our results will be very good and our life will always be happy. The second factor is time that makes the result we will achieve multiple times greater. That is, the longer our result comes, the better it will be. For example, when we plant a soybean tree, we will get about a hundred soybeans. Why do we get few soybeans? #Buddha, #Buddhism, #Buddhist, #Truedharma, #Meditation, #Enlightenment, #Buddhatemple, #TheLawofKarma, #Blessing, #Goodblessing, #Janna, #JannaMonastery, #JannaOrderMonastery, #CauseAndEffect, #UniversalTruth,

PART VII - THE LAW OF CAUSE AND EFFECT GETS INVOLVED IN MANY LIFETIMES

PART VII - THE LAW OF CAUSE AND EFFECT GETS INVOLVED IN MANY LIFETIMES There are many effects that do not have enough conditions to happen in this life, so they will happen in next lives. As we said above, the retribution for making someone orphaned (by killing that person’s parents) is being orphaned. However, the killer is not orphaned in this life so he will be in his next life. Or in this life, if you fraud someone and are not deceived back since you still have blessings, then in your next life you will be. Or in this life you help many people to be sighted again and many disabled people have wheelchairs, but in this life, you won’t be disabled to be offered a wheelchair, so in your next life, you will be rewarded. But how will you be rewarded? When you offer disabled people wheelchairs, that is, you help them travel more easily, so in your next life, you will have strong legs and cars to easily travel. There are some deeds that we think very ordinary but we will earn a great blessing from them.In Buddhism, there is another concept known as reincarnation. When we come to the end of this life, we will be reincarnated in another life. So there is another axiom in the law of Karma called Samsara. However, samsara or reincarnation is not simply that we will start another incarnation right after we finish this incarnation. After our death, our soul will exist in the metaphysical realm in a time and when there are enough conditions for us to be reborn (there are people who will be our parents), we will be born again; otherwise, we have to wait until we have all necessary conditions. For example, in our previous life, we created a good karma that we will have a wealthy family. Our mother will be very beautiful so that her genes for being beautiful will be passed on to us. Our father will be very talented and hold a high position in the society. We will be the eldest son and have a younger sister. Our father will have a large family and he will be the eldest son. That is our karma for our next life. That means we have to wait until all those conditions are met to be reincarnated; otherwise, we are still in the metaphysical realm waiting for being reborn and enjoy our blessing. In the metaphysical realm, we are happy and also have a nice house but still have to wait to be reborn. When there are a beautiful mother and a talented father who is the eldest son of a big family and holds a high position in the society, we will be reborn; if not, we still have to wait for these conditions. So, we will not be reincarnated right after our death but have to wait for many years, sometimes hundreds of years for our reincarnation. During that time, we are a virtuous soul that has a house or a temple and is worshiped by people. And when all conditions for us to be reborn occur, that is, a beautiful woman and a talented man get married. The man is the eldest son of a big family and holds a high position in the society. And when the wife starts to be pregnant, it’s time for our reincarnation. There were some people we do not know what karma they created that after their birth three days, their mothers abandoned them in the entrance to a temple. The temple then raised them and when they grew up, they became monks. This is their karma so their reincarnation had to wait until there were women who were too credulous to be gotten into trouble. These women were too ashamed of themselves that they left home and gave births in another place. Although they loved their babies very much, they couldn’t take them to their homeland. Consequently, after a few days of their children’s births, they abandon them in front of temples. This is the karma of some people, so they have to wait until many conditions happen. While waiting for reincarnation, our spirit temporarily stays in the metaphysical realm. #Buddha, #Buddhism, #Buddhist, #Truedharma, #Meditation, #Enlightenment, #Buddhatemple, #TheLawofKarma, #Blessing, #Goodblessing, #Janna, #JannaOrderMonastery,

PART VI - LOVING THE LAW OF KARMA IS LOVING FAIRNESS

PART VI - LOVING THE LAW OF KARMA IS LOVING FAIRNESSThe outstanding feature of the law of Karma is fairness and it is also the law’s greatest thing. There were some people who first heard of the law of Karma hesitated to ask us, “Dear Master, how can we prove we reap what we have sowed? Based on science we cannot see that. Still, we see many wicked people are rich while good people are poor, although I believe in our Buddha’s teaching that is one good turn deserves another. We love the fairness of the law of Karma but still have doubts about it.”The truth is many of us do not have enough wisdom to recognize the way of the law of Karma. Only saints can but not common people. However, we still believe in and accept it, but why? – It is because of its fairness. We love the fairness, so we accept the law of Karma and teach it to our descendants although we are not able to recognize its presence. So are those who believe in the law of Karma moral? Yes, certainly, because only moral people love fairness and because of loving fairness they accept the law of Karma. If someone says, “I do not believe in the law of Karma because science cannot prove its presence,” then we should know that person is unethical. Why is that so? Because they don’t love fairness and they will commit sin for sure. If unfortunately, they are officials, they will make corrupt use of their positions. And if they are normal people, they always think a way to get others’ money. In economics, there is a definition of making money that is, how to get others’ money, just simply like that. Actually, it is not as simple as we say because money is nearly everything to us, so it’s not easy to take money from others unless we make them happy or provide them what they wish. For example, if they want to buy gold, we will sell them gold; if they want a car, we sell them a car, then we can take their money. That means we have to offer them something or services. Many people don’t love fairness and want to make money as easy as possible, so they will deceive others or steal things from them. They are unethical and will be punished first by the State law and second by the law of Karma. Human law maybe misses something but the law or Karma never misses a detail. It is very scary!Men love fairness, so they create laws and courts for trial; otherwise, there are no differences between humans and animals in the forest. Animals in the forest live in a way that stronger ones will win. When a tiger kills a prey, it does not think if it is right or wrong but just its food. Men do not live in this way. When someone harms someone else, the law and the court will intervene. No matter how rich or poor you are, everyone is equal before the law. We are beyond animals because we create the law and court. In ancient times, the law is very simple and as time goes by it becomes more and more sophisticated as the more civilized and intellectual humans are, the more they love fairness. How is it? In a Taiwanese film about the official tried cases in ancient time, we see the law in those days was very simple. If someone killed someone else, he would be killed without extenuating circumstances. At that time, although the official was upright and intellectual but the civilization of that time is not as advanced as of now. Nowadays, to try a murder, we must consider many aspects including the motives, circumstances, and facts, it is not just like a murderer will be executed as in ancient times. There was a tragic story about a boy who was still in adolescence murdered his stepfather and was arrested. One of his neighbors told the police the boy’s family’s situation. His stepfather was too cruel that he mercilessly tormented his mother and siblings in a very long time. #Buddha, #Buddhism, #Buddhist, #Truedharma, #Meditation, #Enlightenment, #Buddhatemple, #TheLawofKarma, #Blessing, #Goodblessing, #Janna, #JannaMonastery, #JannaOrderMonastery,

PART V - THE BASIC PRINCIPLE OF THE LAW OF CAUSE AND EFFECT: WHAT WE CAUSE OTHERS WILL RETURN TO US

PART V - THE BASIC PRINCIPLE OF THE LAW OF CAUSE AND EFFECT: WHAT WE CAUSE OTHERS WILL RETURN TO USWe talk this topic to help each of us know what cause will result in what effect so that we can determine what we should do to get good results and what we should not do to avoid bad results. The law of Cause and Effect is absolutely fair and no one can cheat it. We often hear, “One good turn deserves another,” or “we reap what we have sowed.” That means those who live a righteous life will achieve happiness and those who live a bad life will experience suffering. The basic principle of Buddhism is that if we bring happiness to others, we will find happiness and if we cause others suffering, we will experience suffering. However, the rule is not exactly right because the law of Cause and Effect is extremely complicated and we and other people may think differently. We think we make someone happy but actually, they feel annoyed and when we think we make someone miserable but actually, they feel happy. Therefore, it’s hard for us to know the results for our actions. For example, we hit someone on his face in front of a crowd because we want to make him humiliated. We can easily reason what the retribution for making someone miserable is. That we hit someone in front of a crowd has two causes. The first cause is making that person physically painful and the second cause is defaming that person. So, in the future we will be hit and defamed. The longer our retribution comes, the more terrible it will be. That is unlikely that the person whom we hit will later hit us in front of a crowd like the way we treated him. Perhaps we will be hung and tortured in a public yard so that everyone can see us in a terrible situation. The retribution will be multiple times more terrible than what we caused. For example, in our neighborhood, there is a child who is ethical and does well in school. He respects the elderly and helps the disabled. So in a parent-teacher conference or in a meeting of neighbors we praise and give him a bicycle as a gift. We invite his parents and several people to join the meeting and say, “I see though your child is young but very well-behaved and study well, so I am on behalf of these people here praise him and give him a bicycle as a gift.” This action has two causes. The first cause is about giving alms and the second cause is to honor the child in front of people. Because we produce two causes so that we will get two different results. What are they? Maybe not in this life but in our next life, we will become a world - famous scientist or a professor that will win a world prize because we will get more than what we give. We just praise a child in front of people and in our next life we will win a world prize and maybe earn a big amount of money. Producing a cause is similar to sowing a litchi seed or a grain of rice, it will develop into a tree and will give us so many grains of rice or a lot of litchis.Likewise, if we do an evil thing, we will experience suffering in a very long time. When we do a good thing, we maybe enjoy its good results in all our life and maybe in next lives. The results and retribution, according to the law of Karma, are very great or terrible like that. So, those who understand the law of Karma are always careful with their actions and words. There are things that we think are good but others think otherwise. For example, on our teacher’s birthday, we give her a birthday cake as a way of expressing our gratitude to her. The cake is made of flour, eggs, sugar, milk, cream, and fat. We think our teacher will be happy with this cake. However, unexpectedly, she is on diet to reduce sugar and fat in blood. We want our teacher to be happy but the result is the opposite. The retribution for such an action is hard to predict.#Buddha, #Buddhism, #Buddhist, #Truedharma, #Meditation, #Enlightenment, #Buddhatemple, #TheLawofKarma, #Blessing, #Goodblessing, #Janna, #JannaMonastery, #JannaOrderMonastery

PART IV - THE AXIOM OF THE LAW OF CAUSE AND EFFECT

PART IV - THE AXIOM OF THE LAW OF CAUSE AND EFFECTThe law of Cause and Effect has an axiom as follows:“Every thought, every word and every action of ours produce an effect on us in the future. That means, the owner of a thought, a word, or an action will get back a result”.So, there are three kinds of karma: Thoughts, words and actions. We then divide these three kinds into two types: The first type does not produce any effect on people and the second type does. These two types achieve different results. For example, we stood in an open field and shouted: “I am the king, I am the king,” it is the karma of the mouth. Our words did not relate to anyone because we stood in an open field and shouted to ourselves. What would happen if others heard that? They would tell the police and the police would invite us for an interview; they then convicted us or sent us to a mental hospital. This karma of the mouth does not affect anyone, so does it cause any effects? – Because it does not affect anyone, it produces a subtle effect, and we will receive the respective retribution. This is the retribution for arrogance, delusion and ambitions. Because we were very common but dreamed of becoming leaders and when no one accepted this, we went to an open field and shouted to satisfy our ambition and delusion. This created a cause of arrogance of wanting to be better than others and the retribution for us is our life will be no longer normal as before. For example, previously, people were happy when seeing us, but after we created this karma, they looked down on or even scolded us, “you are insolent all day.” Thus, though no one knew our karma as well as this karma did not affect any one but we still lost blessing that is we lost the love from others and were despised. Is it so strange? The retribution for having caused no effect on anyone is minor, but the retribution for having caused effect on someone is terrible and lasts very long. For example, our family is wealthy, so we despise our poor neighbors. We always have words and attitude that often makes them feel unhappy. Once we make someone feel unhappy or shameful, the retribution for us will be very terrible, but not as simple as when we shout in an open field. Maybe we will still be blessed in next ten years or twenty, so we will continue to be happy and wealthy in that time, but when we run out of blessing, our property will be lost, we will become poor and people will despise us. This retribution also affects our descendants, which makes them unsuccessful in their life. Looking down on others creates a terrible karma that we will be miserable in a very long time.Another example is when a poor man came to an official and begged for a spare house, but at that time the official got angry at someone else or was busy with his tasks, so he shouted at the poor man, “I have many things to do and many problems to solve, so please don’t bother me.” The official didn’t help the poor man, making him feel very disappointed and left in humiliation and he continued with his difficulties and lived in poor conditions. With this attitude, the official will receive terrible retribution and not just in this life but many lives after. He would be refused to be helped or to be given something and his house would be spare The time he would experience suffering lasts very long. That means when we cause any negative effect on others, the retribution for us will be hundreds of times more terrible than what we caused to them. For example, if we give someone a slap in front of the crowd, then later we will be tormented, humiliated in even a year as retribution. Like when we plant a mango seed, the mango tree will give us hundreds of fruits and in many years. Likewise, when we cause someone unhappiness/suffering, we will experience suffering and when we bring someone happiness, we will have happiness. #Buddhism, #Meditation, #Enlightenment, #TheLawofKarma, #Blessing, #Goodblessing, #JannaOrderMonastery,

The fairness of The Karmic law PART III - THE LEVELS OF OUR UNDERSTANDING OF AND OUR BELIEF IN THE LAW OF KARMA

The fairness of Karmic law PART III - THE LEVELS OF OUR UNDERSTANDING OF AND OUR BELIEF IN THE LAW OF KARMAPeople in this world can be divided into four types according to their understanding of the law of Karma. The Buddha is the one who has a complete understanding of the law of Karma, even a small detail. The law of Karma is not easy to understand. It is not as simple as “one good turn deserves another or we reap what you have sowed.” Actually, it is very complicated and no one but the Buddha can understand its way. So the Buddha is the only one who thoroughly understands the law of Karma. The second is saints. Saints can mostly understand the law of Karma, but of course, cannot fully understand it like the Buddha. To assess if someone in this world is a saint, we should base on how he understands the law of Karma. It is not like that someone who has psychic powers is a saint or someone who preaches well is a saint but someone who has a profound understanding of the law of Karma is a saint. The third is people who are good and believe in the law of Karma. The fourth is people who are bad and don’t believe in the law of Karma.Temporarily, we divide people into four kinds, not based on their classes, not based on their money or not based on their races, but based on their understanding of the law of Karma. And in this article, we discuss only the last two types of people; they are those who believe in the law of Karma and those who don’t. Why do we say that those who have belief in the law of Karma are good? If we ask one of them, “The law of Karma has not been proved by science, so why do you have belief in it?” – They would answer, “I gave mon- ey to a sick person in need of medication, making him healthy again. He was the owner of a family, so when he was back to health, he had the ability to raise his whole family. Helping him recover from his illness is not just helping one person but many people related. Thanks to this help, thirty years later, I achieved a good result that is I have been successful in my business, helping me to become rich.”We continue asking him, “How do you know that your wealth today results from the help you provided someone thirty years ago that made him recover from his illness?” Science has not yet proved the presence of the law of Karma and ordinary cannot realize it; only saints can and they tell us.If he is good and believe in the law of Karma, he would answer:“First, there are things that we just are told but have to believe in. For example, many people who have never been on a plane still believe that planes can fly and men could build planes and many people have flown. Like us, we have never witnessed the scene when a spacecraft launched into orbit or landed on the Moon but we still believe in it because the whole world knew it and someone did it.”Likewise, there are saints who use their spiritual powers and great wisdom to know that person who is wealthy now is because thirty years ago, he saved a family in distress. We believed it because it is reasonable. It is like that we believe planes can fly because they base on the principle of reactive power and we think it is reasonable. We have correct theory and practice, many people see, and we believe. So, we can say that it is possible for a saint who is able to know the retribution of a person after thirty years. This is the first reason that we believe many people are right and many honest people see that. #Buddha, #Buddhism, #Buddhist, #Truedharma, #Meditation, #Enlightenment, #Buddhatemple, #TheLawofKarma, #Blessing, #Goodblessing, #Janna, #JannaMonastery, #JannaOrderMonastery, #LawOfKarma, #CauseAndEffect, #UniversalTruth, #KarmicRetribution, #AxiomaticTruth, #PhilosophyOfMind, #SpiritualLogic, #BeliefAndUnderstanding, #FirstPrinciples, #Metaphysics, #ConsciousEvolution, #Mindfulness, #AncientWisdom, #SpiritualGrowth, #EthicsAndMorality, #Transcendence, #CosmicOrder, #WisdomSeeker, #LogicalReasoning, #InnerTransformation

The fairness of The Karmic law PART II - THE LAW OF CAUSE AND EFFECT RULES EVERYTHING WITHOUT ANY EXCEPTIONS

PART II - THE LAW OF CAUSE AND EFFECT RULES EVERYTHING WITHOUT ANY EXCEPTIONSThe law of Cause and Effect is infinite. The more you understand it, the more interests you gain. Enlightened saints have a profound understanding of the law of Cause and Effect, while normal people like us just have a basic understanding but it is still valuable to their life. The law of Cause and Effect is the absolute right principle of the universe. No matter how high level we reach in cultivation, we are still ruled by this law. Everyone is dominated by this law without any exception. This is different from human law.In our world, a person who creates a law may not be ruled by this law. For example, a king does not allow anyone to enter his garden. However, he himself can do it. That means humans can create a law and can disobey it. However, the law of Karma is not that way. No one creates it. It exists in the universe by itself and no one has capability to escape it. Even the one who rules this world is also dominated by the law of Karma. And thanks to the law or Karma, that person has such power but he himself cannot achieve it. That means he created a karma that he will be worth having so much power. It is easy to understand people who lack blessing and often face difficulties are dominated by the law of Karma. However, this law applies to blessed people as well. Monks of high morals do not mean to avoid being ruled by the law of Karma, but they live in accordance with it. They always try to control themselves as they know they reap what they have sowed. In theory, if you create good karma, you will achieve good outcomes and if you create bad karma, you will receive retribution for it. However, the law of Karma is so intense that one cause will produce thousands of effects. Sometimes, with just one word, we can enjoy our blessing in all our life even through ten lives after. And sometimes with just one word in unintentional way, we will fall into animals that won’t be able to become humans even after ten lives.Because we do not fully understand the law of Cause and Effect, we rarely control ourselves but let us do whatever we want. We can treat others in a bad way; we can despise or deceive someone we hate because we don’t know what retribution is waiting for us. But when we know the law of Karma is very fair, we will fear for our retribution so we will restraint ourselves and always live to love, to sacrifice and to serve others. Why is that so? It is because the retribution for selfishness is of humble origin and misery. Those who only care for their own interest will be miserable in the future. The first possibility is they will become unfortunate people; the second possibility is they will become animals; the third possibility is they will become hungry ghosts; and the fourth possibility is they will be sent to hell. If we believe in the law of Karma, we will restrain ourselves and vow to love all beings. We will be careful with our words to avoid making others unhappy and only want to bring others happiness. #Buddha, #Buddhism, #Buddhist, #Truedharma, #Meditation, #Enlightenment, #Buddhatemple, #TheLawofKarma, #Blessing, #Goodblessing, #Janna, #JannaMonastery, #JannaOrderMonastery, #LawOfKarma, #CauseAndEffect, #UniversalTruth, #KarmicRetribution, #AxiomaticTruth, #PhilosophyOfMind, #SpiritualLogic, #BeliefAndUnderstanding, #FirstPrinciples, #Metaphysics, #ConsciousEvolution, #Mindfulness, #AncientWisdom, #SpiritualGrowth, #EthicsAndMorality, #Transcendence, #CosmicOrder, #WisdomSeeker, #LogicalReasoning, #InnerTransformation, #KarmicLaws, #DharmaInsight, #IntellectualSpirituality, #TruthSeeker, #HigherConsciousness, #LifePhilosophy, #ContemplativePractice, #SoulScience, #MoralPhilosophy, #AwakeningJourney, #DeepThinking, #SpiritualScience, #SystemicThinking, #ExistentialWisdom, #MindsetShift, #UniversalPrinciples

The fairness of The Karmic law PART I - THE LAW OF CAUSE AND EFFECT IS FAIR IN AN ABSOLUTE AND STRANGE WAY

PART I - THE LAW OF CAUSE AND EFFECT IS FAIR IN AN ABSOLUTE AND STRANGE WAY Our presence in this life results from causes in the past, but is not by accident. And, in turn, we now create causes for our future. Things that will happen to us in the future are in accordance with what we do now. That we go to temples with our great reverence for the Dharma, monks and nuns creates a blessing, which in turn, create various results. It is like when we sow a seed, we will not get only one fruit. We sow a mango seed, the mango tree will produce many mango fruits for us. However, before mango fruits appear, we have a young mango tree. This young tree will produce branches, flowers then fruits. We then have green fruits and ripe fruits. In the middle of these fruits, we also have seeds. That is, many things will appear from a seed we plant. We cannot say, “I plant a mango seed then I will have a mango fruit.” It is not simple like that. So what will we have when we plant a mango seed? We will enjoy the shade of the mango tree and when it grows big, we can use its trunks and branches as firewood and its fallen leaves for cooking or fertilizing our fields. We also can enjoy its flowers and compose poems. Its fruits (green or ripe) will be eaten and its seeds will be planted again. So, from a mango seed, we will enjoy many things and receive many benefits but not just a mango fruit then finish. Similarly, when we listen to a sermon, we will not just enjoy one good result but a lot. We come to temples to be taught morals, our soul will become noble and we will be better. Each of our words will have virtue that makes our descendants respect and obey us. We’re not sure if in our next life we will be able to enjoy our blessing but in this life, our descendants are more obedient. As when we sow mango tree, before we have its fruits, we can enjoy its shade in hot days. Likewise, when we have not yet been wealthy, our descendants are well-behaved and this is our happiness. We will gradually be better because of our regularly coming to temples. Thus, our relatives and our neighbors love and rely on us more and more. Therefore, when we call them to do charity, they will be happy to do. For example, we tell them, “There is an old man who lives in poverty and have sickness and whose descendants stay far away, so, we should take turns to take care of him because taking care of the old is great morals of men.” Before we go to temples to be taught morals, no one listened to us, but now our words have strength that make many people follow. First, we help a lonely elderly person spend their final days in peace and happiness. We gradually feel that our neighborhood bonds have become closer and more trustworthy than before. For example, in the past, whenever we had to travel far, we would worry about someone lurking around, trying to break into our house. #Buddha, #Buddhism, #Buddhist, #Truedharma, #Meditation, #Enlightenment, #Buddhatemple, #TheLawofKarma, #Blessing, #Goodblessing, #Janna, #JannaMonastery, #JannaOrderMonastery, #LawOfKarma, #CauseAndEffect, #UniversalTruth, #KarmicRetribution, #AxiomaticTruth, #PhilosophyOfMind, #SpiritualLogic, #BeliefAndUnderstanding, #FirstPrinciples, #Metaphysics, #ConsciousEvolution, #Mindfulness, #AncientWisdom, #SpiritualGrowth, #EthicsAndMorality, #Transcendence, #CosmicOrder, #WisdomSeeker, #LogicalReasoning, #InnerTransformation, #KarmicLaws, #DharmaInsight, #IntellectualSpirituality, #TruthSeeker, #HigherConsciousness, #LifePhilosophy, #ContemplativePractice, #SoulScience, #MoralPhilosophy, #AwakeningJourney, #DeepThinking, #SpiritualScience, #SystemicThinking, #ExistentialWisdom, #MindsetShift, #UniversalPrinciples

The fairness of The Karmic law (preface)

The Fairness of The Karma LawHello everyone. Welcome to Janna's Audio Books. Today we begin a new journey with our book The Fairness of The Karma Law.This is a journey into one of the most powerful laws in the universe the law of karma the law of cause and effect. Many people wonder why good people sometimes suffer and why some harmful actions seem to go unpunished. Buddhism answers this question through the law of karma. Nothing happens without a cause and nothing disappears without leaving a result.Every thought, every word, and every action plants a seed. Some seeds grow quickly some grow slowly but none of them are lost. When we understand this law clearly life stops feeling random or unfair. We begin to see that our present life was shaped by causes in the past and what we do today is quietly shaping our future. May this reflection help every listener plant wholesome causes avoid harmful actions and walk steadily on the path toward liberation and enlightenment. Now let us begin with the Preface.PREFACEThe law of Cause and Effect or The law of Karma is the most basic and important principle of Buddhism. The entire teachings of Buddhism, from elementary to advanced, from the morals of human beings to the morals of Saints are based on the law of Cause and Effect. The law of Cause and Effect is a natural principle of the universe, not created by anyone. The Buddha, the greatest enlightened being of all time, with his all-encompassing vision and unparalleled wisdom, discovered and fully understood the workings of this law on his own. Among all enlightened beings throughout history, his insight into the law of karma was the most profound and comprehensive. The entire vast, profound, and extraordinary system of Buddhist teachings is built upon the foundation of the law of Cause and Effect.Anyone who comes to Buddhism, even to explore or to practice, first, must correctly understand the law of Karma. The law of Karma is absolutely fair. Everything that happens in your life, in this world, or in the universe has a cause; it cannot happen accidentally. What we do now will cause effects in the future in this life or in our next life. Therefore, people need to fully understand the law of Karma to strive to control our actions, our words, and even our thoughts in our daily life. By doing so, every sentient being can cultivate wholesome seeds, not only for this lifetime but also for future lives.Wish all sentient beings a correct understanding of the law of Karma to live and practice in accordance with this law, and together, we go on the path heading to liberation and enlightenment.JANNA#Religions, #Buddhism, #Meditation, #Questionandanswers, #Religious, #Buddhist, #Truedharma, #Enlightement, #Buddhatemple, #TheLawofKarma, #BuddhismforBeginners, #Janna #Monastery, #JannaOrderMonastery, #PRACTICE, #GUIDE, #LAYPRACTITIONERS, #DialogueBuddhismReligions
