    Tantra, Marketed: Part Two

What if one of the world's most profound spiritual traditions has been rebranded into something its own scriptures barely recognize? In this episode, Mayoori traces the modern genealogy of "Tantra massage," Neo-Tantra, and the commercialization of Tantra, separating historical fact from popular mythology. Drawing on classical Sanskrit sources-including the Vijñāna Bhairava Tantra and the Kularṇava Tantra—alongside the documented history of Osho, Margot Anand, and the Western Neo-Tantra movement, she explores how an ancient path of liberation became a marketable wellness product. More importantly, this episode asks a difficult question: when spiritual language is used to justify manipulation, where does authentic tradition end and exploitation begin? Through scripture, history, and personal experience, Mayoori examines what classical Tantra actually teaches about initiation, the guru-disciple relationship, discernment, and the true purpose of spiritual practice. In this episode you'll discover: • Why "Tantra massage" has no basis in the classical Tantric scriptures. • The difference between traditional Kaula practices and modern Neo-Tantra. • How Osho's teachings were transformed into a commercial industry after leaving his hands. • The historical role of Margot Anand and the origins of SkyDancing Tantra. • What the Kularṇava Tantra and Vijñāna Bhairava Tantra actually say about liberation, gurus, and spiritual authority. • How spiritual manipulation operates beneath the language of "initiation" and "transcendence." • Why discernment is not the opposite of spirituality—it is one of its greatest protections. This is Part Two of the Tantra, Marketed series. Tantra Is Not Sex: Restoring the Sacred Meaning of a Distorted Tradition

Tantra has become one of the most misunderstood and misused words in modern spirituality. In this episode of Aligned Hearts, Mayoori explores how a sacred Indian system of consciousness, mantra, yantra, nyasa, sadhana, deity worship, discipline and inner transformation has been reduced in many spaces to sacred sexuality, touch, chemistry, Kundalini hype and boundary-free intimacy work. This is a sharp and necessary conversation on the difference between real Tantra and its modern distortion. Mayoori speaks about the meaning of Tantra as a framework, method and sacred technology of expansion, while also examining the dangers of using spiritual vocabulary to bypass consent, override discernment or manipulate seekers. The episode also touches on Srividya, Shiva Shakti, Kundalini, nervous-system activation, spiritual abuse, narcissistic patterns in healing spaces, and the importance of ethical containment in any serious spiritual or embodiment work. This episode is for seekers, coaches, healers, facilitators, spiritual practitioners and anyone who wants to understand why intensity is not always truth, why Sanskrit words do not make something sacred, and why discernment is a spiritual necessity. Stay awake, stay rooted and never confuse intensity with truth. The Man with the Headphones

This episode wasn't planned. A stranger walked up to me at my usual café table this morning, opened his screen, and showed me a photo of someone I recognized. Under the photo - a name. A date. A dash. And another date. That was my morning. And I recorded this the same day. In this episode we unpack grief - not just the kind that floors you, but the whole spectrum. The quiet wrongness of losing someone you barely knew. The fracture of losing someone familiar. And what all of it is quietly pointing us toward ; the truth about death that we all know, but tend to keep at the edge of our vision. We look at it through:  Neuroscience: what the brain actually does when someone is gone - Psychology: the grief that doesn't get a name or a ritual -Roland Barthes and Jacques Derrida: on absence, presence and what a photograph holds-Alan Watts: on the life we keep postponing - Bhagavad Gita and Patanjali's Yoga Sutras: on impermanence, the clinging to life, and the impressions we leave behind And we close with one small shift. Not a resolution. Just something you can carry out of this episode. Jack and his mastery- They Told You Half the Quote.

There's a quote you've heard your whole life. Used to gently put you in your place. Remind you to pick a lane. Stay in it - Jack of All Trades, Master of None. Find out the second half of this quote and quite honestly, the most relevant part of this quote. What they never told you — is that the quote was truncated into half and stood exactly opposite to its intended meaning. In this episode of The Aligned Hearts, Mayoori unpacks what it actually means to live a life that refuses to be labelled — the neuroscience behind it, the Sanskrit wisdom underneath it, and the quiet liberation that comes when you stop apologizing for your own versatality.  From Da Vinci to Alan Watts. From Samskaras to associative thinking. From a life that looked scattered from the outside — to a hue that no single lane could have mixed. This one is for everyone who has ever been handed half a truth to shrink themselves with. The other half belongs to you. multipotentiality, self-discovery, neuroscience, Sanskrit wisdom, personal growth, creativity, life purpose, wellness, spirituality, aligned living Thank you for spending this time with me on Aligned Hearts with Mayoori.
