    News From the Front

Alone in a creaking countryside home during the height of the First World War, a young woman spends her nights terrified for her husband fighting overseas in the trenches of France. So when she hears someone unlocking the front door late one stormy night and heavy boots climbing the stairs, fear quickly gives way to overwhelming relief: her husband Paul has somehow returned home alive. But as the days pass, subtle details about his behavior begin to feel deeply wrong. He refuses food, scarcely sleeps, and spends long hours handling strange military correspondence from the local post office—letters that were never meant to be delivered. When his wife discovers one addressed to herself, she uncovers a horrifying truth about the men returning from the war and the growing presence spreading quietly through the village under cover of grief, routine, and familiar faces. Summer's Mask

What begins as a carefree summer camping trip quickly takes a sinister turn when four friends discover a strange wooden box hidden deep within a silent forest clearing. Inside rests a smooth white mask—old, beautiful, and unsettling enough to make one member of the group beg the others not to touch it. But curiosity wins out, and the moment the mask is placed on someone’s face, something in the woods begins to change. As night falls over the campsite, the once-relaxing trip gives way to growing unease, strange behavior, and terrifying violence lurking just beyond the trees. By morning, three of the campers have vanished without a trace, leaving behind only bloodstains, unanswered questions, and a mask no one can explain. The Soul Game

When eleven-year-old Jesse befriends a strange new transfer student named Stan, his mother initially assumes it’s nothing more than another awkward childhood friendship. But within days, Jesse begins acting increasingly disturbed—speaking in hushed tones about “The Church of Stan,” waking up screaming in the middle of the night, and becoming terrified of a mysterious game he refuses to explain. As paranoia and exhaustion consume both mother and son, unsettling rules begin to emerge involving mirrors, darkness, and things that move closer when the lights go out. Then Stan finally appears at their front door alongside his pale, silent sister, and what begins as childish make-believe spirals into something far more sinister. Trapped inside a game with rules they barely understand and consequences too horrifying to ignore, Jesse’s mother realizes far too late that some stories are dangerous simply because you’ve heard them. The Tapping Next Door

For years, the noises coming from the apartment next door were little more than an annoyance—scraping furniture, muffled voices, and the occasional burst of violent banging through the bedroom wall. Strange, yes, but easy enough to ignore in a crowded city apartment building. Then one night, a new sound begins: soft, deliberate tapping from the other side of the wall, always spaced several minutes apart, almost as if someone is waiting for a response. What starts as an irritating interruption slowly becomes something deeply unsettling as the tapping grows louder, more frantic, and impossible to dismiss. And when a visit from the police finally reveals what was happening in the neighboring apartment that night, one horrifying realization changes everything the narrator thought they heard through the wall. The Man Who Ate Newborns

Trapped at the bottom of a ravine after a failed kidnapping, a badly injured man clings to life while cradling something tiny and writhing in his hands. As he drifts between agony, starvation, and delirium, he recounts the obsessive love affair that destroyed his life—a fixation on a woman named Eve that slowly curdled into jealousy, desperation, and madness after she married another man and started a family of her own. Alone in the wreckage of his shattered car with no hope of rescue and his body literally beginning to rot around him, the man spirals deeper into horrifying rationalizations as hunger and obsession push him toward an unthinkable decision. Curfew

In a quiet village where every resident obeys an unspoken rule, the streets fall empty each night before eleven o’clock sharp. Doors are locked, windows barred, and families huddle silently indoors waiting for the sound they fear most: the ringing of the ancient bell tower at the center of town. For generations, villagers have believed that anyone caught outside when the bell tolls will meet a terrible fate. Most are too frightened to question the legend. But when a skeptical outsider named Jacob Pearson arrives with his young wife, he becomes determined to prove the superstition false once and for all. Certain the villagers are prisoners of their own fear, Jacob climbs the tower just before the appointed hour to silence the bell himself—unaware that some warnings survive for a reason. Life on an isolated farm takes a disturbing turn when the hay bales scattered around the property begin moving on their own, shifting a little farther each night for no apparent reason. At first, the strange phenomenon seems like the work of pranksters. But when a gruesome act of violence follows an attempt to interfere, the farmer realizes someone—or something—is sending a message. As sleepless nights give way to terrifying discoveries in the darkness beyond the fields, an immense presence emerges from the surrounding woods with a purpose the farmer cannot begin to understand. And as the invisible boundary around the property slowly reveals itself, he comes to fear that he is no longer living on his farm... but inside someone else’s enclosure.
