I Hit Every Goal I Set And Still Felt Exactly The Same (This Is Why)

What if reaching your fitness goals is not the secret to happiness - but learning to enjoy the journey is? In this episode of The Fit Nurse Diaries, Courtney is joined by Fit Nurse Movement coach Ellie in London to talk about slowing down, becoming more present, and creating a fitness lifestyle that doesn’t leave you feeling exhausted, frustrated, or constantly behind. Inspired by the feeling of a European summer (slow mornings, peaceful walks, fresh food, meaningful conversations, and less time on your phone) - this episode explores how nurses and busy women can stop rushing toward the next goal and begin appreciating the life they are building right now. Tune in to hear about: 🩷Why the “I’ll be happy when…” mindset keeps you feeling unfulfilled 🩷How to enjoy your fitness journey instead of treating it like punishment 🩷Why slower, sustainable weight loss is still meaningful progress 🩷How to stop comparing your results with other women 🩷Why gratitude and celebrating small wins improve your mindset 🩷How being present can help you recognize life-changing opportunities 🩷How the Fit Nurse Movement is helping nurses reclaim their health 🩷Why lasting transformation goes far beyond weight loss 🩷How small daily actions can create a powerful ripple effect Key Moments: 00:00:00 Intro 00:01:10 Welcome to European Summer 00:04:23 Chasing goals for years 00:07:59 How to slow down 00:11:16 The happy when trap 00:14:41 Gratitude beats comparison 00:18:05 The vision outside Chipotle 00:24:18 Why hospital food fails 00:27:21 The calling she buried 00:30:44 Speak up, grow faster 00:37:49 Two minutes to reset - 🩷Connect With Me🩷 https://www.instagram.com/thefitnursemovement/ https://www.instagram.com/courtneymarybb/ - 🩷About The Fit Nurse Movement🩷 The Fit Nurse Diaries Podcast is brought to you by The Fit Nurse Movement - the only fitness and weight loss coaching program made specifically for nurses, by a nurse. Two Nurses Reveal What Actually Ends Yo-Yo Dieting

I’m speaking with two nurses on two different weight-loss journeys… With ONE big life-changing lesson: Choosing yourself is not selfish. In this powerful episode of The FitNurse Diaries, Lisa and Rebecca share what happened when they stopped trying to transform their health alone - and finally accepted the accountability, coaching, and community support they needed. Lisa had spent most of her life struggling with her weight. After joining the FitNurse Movement, she went from approximately 153 pounds to 133 pounds. But losing around 20 pounds was only one part of her transformation. She became more confident. She found her voice. She started standing up for herself at work and in her personal life. Rebecca entered the program at 235 pounds while living in what she describes as survival mode: wake up, go to work, return to the couch, go to bed, and repeat. One year later, she’s 85 pounds down. But her journey was far from easy. Just two weeks after joining, Rebecca lost her mother. Months later, her sister was diagnosed with breast cancer. Every setback gave her a reason to quit. Instead, she learned how to ask for help, do what she could, and keep moving forward one day at a time. In this episode, you’ll discover: 🩷How Lisa lost around 20 pounds and built lasting confidence 🩷How Rebecca lost 85 pounds while navigating grief and family illness 🩷Why accountability matters when motivation disappears 🩷How to keep showing up when life becomes overwhelming 🩷Why doing 1% is still better than doing nothing 🩷How personalised nutrition and realistic workouts create sustainable results 🩷Why caring for yourself is not selfish 🩷How fitness can improve your marriage, family life, work, and emotional health 🩷Why progress should never be measured against someone else’s journey 🩷How a supportive nurse fitness community can help you stop starting over Key Moments: 00:00:00 Intro 00:01:00 Meet Lisa 00:04:20 Breaking the seesaw 00:07:24 Tools for life 00:12:03 Meet Rebecca 00:15:13 Surviving, not living 00:20:00 85 pounds down 00:23:17 Losing her mom 00:26:40 Sister's cancer battle 00:32:22 Advice for the hesitant 00:35:40 The ripple effect - 🩷Connect With Me🩷 https://www.instagram.com/thefitnursemovement/ https://www.instagram.com/courtneymarybb/ - 🩷About The Fit Nurse Movement🩷 The Fit Nurse Diaries Podcast is brought to you by The Fit Nurse Movement - the only fitness and weight loss coaching program made specifically for nurses, by a nurse.
