    Trick Or Trauma

Because apparently surviving breast cancer wasn't enough trauma for one lifetime, Krystal with a K is joined by the one and only MAIRE, the DOCTRESS OF DEATH, who JUST FINISHED CHEMO and decided the best way to celebrate was to talk about... well, SPOOKY, CREEPY SHIT. Seems healthy. This week, these two hard-to-kill women are digging up the twisted history of Halloween, from its ancient origins to the costumes, candy, and creepy traditions we know and love today. But what's Halloween without a little HORROR? We're talking legendary slashers, supernatural nightmares, Stephen King's most unhinged creations, and the cinematic trauma that made an entire generation terrified of logging trucks. Then things get REALLY questionable. F**K, MARRY, KILL: HORROR MOVIE EDITION...as ridiculous as it is inappropriate. And most importantly... when you've already survived cancer, does that automatically make you a FINAL GIRL? Between Krystal's three cancer battles and Maire's freshly completed chemo, Death might want to reconsider putting these two on his schedule. But more importantly, it captures something we don't talk about nearly enough. The AFTER part of a cancer diagnosis. Through a collaboration between PERKY and FIND YOUR EPIC AFTER, six women from different ages, backgrounds, and walks of life came together to show the reality behind the pink ribbons. Stage IV warriors. A previvor. Survivors navigating bodies, relationships, and lives they never expected to have to rebuild. They talk about what cancer takes. The confidence. The intimacy. It’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and PLOT TWIST: STILL ALIVE is kicking off Season 2 by going beyond the pink shit and talking about what people should ACTUALLY be aware of. At just 37, Marissa was a wife and mom of two kids under five when stomach issues and blood in her stool led to a diagnosis she never saw coming: COLON CANCER. Unfortunately... that was just the opening scene. Genetic testing revealed links to multiple hereditary cancers—including BRCA—and suddenly family secrets nobody even knew existed started looking a whole lot more sinister. And the further she went down the genetic rabbit hole, the scarier life became. Before ever hearing the words YOU HAVE BREAST CANCER, Marissa faced an impossible choice: amputate her breasts before they became the next sacrifice. Turns out, her DNA came with its own f*****g horror franchise. Krystal and Marissa talk cancer, genetic testing, preventative mastectomy, motherhood, reopening grief, and the absolute mindfuck of discovering... SURPRISE! YOU’RE A MUTANT.     SEASON FINALE: PLOT TWIST…WE DID IT LIVE Well, we made it through an entire season without getting canceled, sued, or asked to leave the internet…so naturally, we celebrated by going LIVE. For the Season One finale of PLOT TWIST: STILL ALIVE, Krystal with a K is joined by Adam, Stacy, and Maire for a completely unfiltered look back at the stories, chaos, dark humor, and WTF moments that made this season what it was. And because apparently none of us understand the concept of keeping things private, there are SPOILERS. A lot of them. We’re talking favorite episodes, behind-the-scenes moments, F**K IT LIST adventures, trolls, swingers (because somehow we always end up back at swingers), the moments that hit us the hardest, the ones that made us laugh until we couldn’t breathe, and some shit we probably should have saved for Season Two.     Find Your EPIC After Minisode: "DEAR CANCER"

    Usually I write this shit in third person…but this one feels different. If you haven’t listened to Frankentitties or Frankentitties 2 (back in the dark ages before we had video), consider this the condensed version of me. In 2025, I stood on a stage in front of more than 400 people at the Pink Warrior Advocates Pink Prom Gala and read a letter I wrote to cancer. “Dear Cancer” is about what cancer has taken from me. But more importantly, it’s about what I CHOOSE to take from cancer. Cancer has been the villain lurking in the background of my story for most of my life. It’s changed my body, stolen pieces of me, scared the absolute shit out of me, and left some scars that don’t show up in pictures. But cancer does NOT define me. Cancer doesn’t define ANY survivor. And somewhere between being completely vulnerable on that stage, making people cry, making them laugh at shit we probably shouldn’t laugh at, and helping raise money for breast cancer warriors…I found something I didn’t even realize I was looking for. This was the beginning of MY EPIC AFTER. It remains one of the proudest moments of my life—and part of what inspired me to take this next adventure with Stace, my BREASTIE, and create Happily EPIC After. So whether your monster was cancer, grief, abuse, loss, divorce, trauma, or another chapter you weren’t sure you’d survive…I hope you can take something from this too. Because NO MATTER YOUR PLOT TWIST... Your darkest moments don’t define you. WHAT HAPPENS AFTER DOES. So take something from it. Laugh when you probably shouldn’t. Do the scary shit. And figure out what you want the rest of your story to look like. And never forget... WHAT DOESN’T KILL YOU MAKES YOU F*****G HILARIOUS.
