    12. Manage Anxiety Symptoms to Reclaim Your Peace- 5 Ways Under $20 to Stay Grounded

Mama, do you remember the moment anxiety first showed up? For me, it was becoming a mom. One minute I was just a wife enjoying life, and the next I had this tiny, defenseless person who needed me for everything—while my husband was overseas, and I had no family or friends nearby to lean on. I became obsessed with schedules, I lost my chill completely, and I didn't even like being a mom for a long time. Sound familiar? In this episode, I get honest about my ten-year journey with anxiety, and I take you underneath the symptoms to the real root: control, fear, rejection, unhealed trauma. Because 2 Timothy 1:7 tells us God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind—and anxiety trying to sit on the throne of your life is not who you were made to bow to. Once we name the root, I walk you through the five practical, accessible ways I've dealt with my own anxiety symptoms—starting with repentance and surrender (Psalm 139:23-24), then diet, supplements, essential oils, and one powerful herb. Most of these are free or under $20, and I share exactly which brands and products have worked for me for a decade. You don't have to white-knuckle through another day, mama. Your kids need you, your husband needs you, and the world needs you—whole. Take a deep breath, mama. We'll walk through this together. 11. Resent Hubby's Freedom? The Identity Shift That Keeps You Steady

Are you feeling resentful toward Hubby, Mama? Do you envy his freedom — the early-morning workouts, the long fishing days, the simple ability to walk out the door and be a person — while you stay buried under the work, the housework, and the child-rearing? Do you quietly wish something would shift, just enough to even the deck? You are not alone. And this isn't a husband-bashing episode — it's something far more freeing than that. In this one, J. opens up about the season that nearly hardened her heart: working six days a week, a cross-country move, a deployment, an injury that took away the one thing she did just for herself. She'll walk you through how the resentment crept in — and the gut-honest moment she realized it wasn't really about him at all. It was about every time she chose to put herself second, third, last. Then came the identity shift that changed everything. Because 1 Peter 2:9 says you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, His own special people — so why, sister, do we keep treating ourselves like an afterthought? Why don't we make time for the hobbies that fill our cups? Why don't we invest in the dream God planted in us? If you've been carrying a low, simmering resentment you're almost ashamed to name, this episode will help you see it clearly — and show you how walking in your chosen identity can dissolve it from the inside out. Your homework this week is simple: do one thing that's just for you. J. already did hers. Now it's your turn. Take a deep breath, Mama. We'll walk through this season together. 10. Stressed About Your Financial Stability? Try These 7 Habits To Rise Above Money Overwhelm

Seven Habits That Put Money Back in Your Account Does financial stability have you overwhelmed, Mama? Do the numbers in your account keep dropping no matter what you do? Do you just wish you could make the dollar stretch a little further? For over twenty years, my husband and I have saved five figures a year — even with small children, even on the seasons when money was tight. And I didn't come from any of it. I was raised by a single mom, I didn't inherit a thing, and everything we have, we built together from the ground up. In this episode, I'm pulling back the curtain on the seven habits that got us here — practical, doable things you can start putting to work today: We don't buy retail first (thrift stores are my jam — and I'll tell you the secret to finding the good ones). We limit eating out and coffee runs. We eat what we cook and waste almost nothing. We skip the door dashing. We DIY our own aesthetics — I've cut my own hair since 2013, sis. We don't chase the latest phone, car, or trend. And my very favorite, the one happening in my house right now — the no-spend month. But here's the part I really want you to hear: this isn't about white-knuckling your way through deprivation. These habits are heart postures. If the thought of fasting from your creature comforts even for a season makes your chest tight, that might be telling you something — sometimes convenience and comfort quietly become idols that keep us bound and overwhelmed. I'll share how tithing stretched my money further than I could have on my own (Malachi 3:10), how I'm teaching my girls the difference between needs and wants, and why Matthew 6:21 — "where your treasure is, there your heart will be also" — is the real foundation under all seven of these. Because victory over financial overwhelm starts when our hearts are in the right place. And that, of course, is in Christ. Take a deep breath, Mama. 9. Struggling with Contentment? 6 Ways to Find Peace Right Where You Are

Are you scrolling through social media wishing you were living someone else's life? Does your current season feel like it's missing something — like this just isn't it? Mama, I've been there. In this episode, I'm getting vulnerable about my early twenties — a season marked by angst, FOMO, a deployed husband, and a version of myself I honestly couldn't stand. I was chasing everything the world told me I should have, and finding contentment felt impossible. Until the Lord met me right where I was. We're diving into Philippians 4:11 — Paul's declaration of contentment written from prison — and unpacking what it really means to find peace in the middle of the chaos. I'm also sharing the six practical things I've done over the past twelve years that finally helped me stop striving and start resting in who God says I am. In this episode, we cover: Why contentment starts with your identity, not your circumstances How comparing yourself to others is quietly killing your calling The power of simplifying your life and protecting your peace Why praying "change me" might be the most powerful prayer you ever pray How to ask God for joy in the small moments — even when you're working full-time with kids interrupting you every five minutes Contentment isn't about having more. It's a heart posture. And if you're ready to stop running the hamster wheel and start walking in peace and purpose, this episode is for you. Take a deep breath, Mama. Let's walk through this together.
