    The Crow And Grégory Villemin | France's Most Haunting Unsolved Murder

    In April 1981, a young working class family in a small village in eastern France began receiving threatening letters from an anonymous figure who called himself Le Corbeau — the Crow. For three years he watched them, called their home, and promised revenge for a slight he never named. On October 16th, 1984, four year old Grégory Villemin disappeared from his yard. That evening his body was pulled from the River Vologne, his hands and feet bound. The next morning a letter arrived at the family home. What followed was forty years of institutional failure — seven investigating judges, eighteen thousand reports, five people charged, zero convictions. The first judge on the case took his own life in 2017. Grégory's father shot and killed the prime suspect. Grégory's own mother was charged with his murder. The Crow has never been identified.
