How This 3x Life Coach Went From Bullied to Canada’s Biggest Stages With Coach Carey

In this episode of CEO Sales Sessions, I sit down with Coach Raia Carey, a motivational speaker, corporate wellness and meditation facilitator, and former EDI lead at Canada’s largest children’s hospital. Her work has taken her into boardrooms, onto international stages, and in front of global brands, where she helps people build confidence, reconnect with themselves, and create meaningful impact. Today, Coach Carey shares the story of how she learnt to turn the things that once hindered her into what now empowers her. We get into the real work behind confidence, like changing the way you speak to yourself, building relationships rooted in accountability, and finding the courage to use your voice. Take a deep breath and get ready for this masterclass in learning how to fill your own cup so you can lead and serve from overflow. Here’s what we get into: Coach Carey's experiences with bullying and how she learnt to transform her pain into the power that helps her serve and connect with othersReframing imposter syndrome as “imposter thinking” and how changing our language can stop temporary self-doubt from becoming part of our identityWhy confidence isn’t something you either have or don’t have, and how your values, self-talk, and daily practices can help you continually return to yourselfThe personal toolbox of practices Coach Carey uses to regulate, refuel, and get grounded How to lead with accountability and navigate defensiveness, adult friendships, receiving feedback, and self-reflectionA behind the scenes look at Ignite Your Voice, Coach Carey's four-week public speaking program designed to help people become more confident communicators, understand their values, and gain real experience speaking in front of an audienceOne of my biggest takeaways from this conversation is that confidence isn’t about being at your best 100% of the time. It’s about knowing how to come back to yourself and lead with your values, especially in difficult moments. Are you ready to take action? Leave a comment or DM me on Instagram @autheticgazzy and let me know what you’ll be implementing from this episode. I’ll see you next week! Should Is the Most Expensive Word in Your Business and Your Life

Today, I unpack the hidden cost of one of the most common words in our vocabulary: should. For female entrepreneurs and CEOs, “should” can show up everywhere, including how we divide our time, how quickly we expect our business to grow, and what we think we need to be achieving in life. I explore how “should” is often rooted in comparison, inherited expectations, and the belief that we’re not doing enough or moving fast enough. I also break down what happens when we stop building our businesses according to someone else’s definition of success and start making decisions based on our own goals, zone of genius, and values as a CEO. Keep listening to hear: Why “should” is often rooted in not-enoughness and how constantly believing you should be further ahead holds you back as a CEOHow social media and comparison can turn someone else’s success into unnecessary pressure about where we think we should be in our own journeyWhy the business strategy that works for someone else, from how they sell to how they show up online, doesn’t automatically belong in your businessHow inherited expectations from family, culture, and society can unconsciously shape decisions that have nothing to do with the goals you actually wantWhy protecting your zone of genius and understanding the value of your time are essential when you want to scaleThe shift you need to master in order to grow as a CEO: turning “what should I be doing?” to “what would the person with my goal do?” Your homework from this episode is to reflect on the decisions you’ve been making because they fit into an idea of what you think a CEO “should” do vs. the decisions that are genuinely aligned with your business goals and the person you aspire to be. As always, give this episode a like and DM me your thoughts on Instagram @autheticgazzy. I can’t wait to hear from you and I’ll see you next week. How to Build a Seven Figure Agency and the Power of Podcasting With Kristina Bartold

In this episode of CEO Sales Sessions, I’m joined by Kristina Bartold, co-founder and CEO of The Social Snippet, a seven-figure social media and podcasting agency, co-founder of High Vibe Women, and host of the Community podcast. Kristina and her team actually helped bring CEO Sales Sessions to life, so having her on the other side of the mic feels like a full-circle moment. We talk about what it really takes to step out of the day-to-day and lead like a CEO, from building a team that can operate without you to investing in bigger rooms, creating strategic partnerships, and protecting your time as your business and life grow. We also get into the realities of entrepreneurship and motherhood, and why building a successful company doesn’t have to mean choosing between ambition and family. Here’s what we get into: Why Kristina treated herself like a CEO from the beginning, and how accepting that someone else can do a job 80% as well can be the exact thing that unlocks your next stage of growthHow getting into rooms with entrepreneurs who are steps ahead of you can completely expand what you believe is possible for your businessWhy generosity, genuine relationships, and being willing to “go first” have played such a major role in Kristina’s ability to scale her network and businessesWhat Kristina has learnt from landing high-ticket sponsorships, including why understanding what a brand actually wants is far more powerful than showing up with a massive list of deliverablesWhy protecting the integrity of your pricing always mattersHow motherhood forced Kristina to rethink her capacity, protect her highest and best use, and build a business that supports the life she actually wantsOne of my favourite takeaways from this conversation is that there is no single point where you suddenly become “ready” to build the team, make the investment, enter the bigger room, or create space for another part of your life. If this conversation gave you a new way to think about leadership, growth, partnerships, or building a business around your life, send it to another female founder who needs to hear it. The High-Achieving Woman’s Guide to Hormones, Health, & Working With Your Body

In this episode of CEO Sales Sessions, I’m joined by Morgana Lakatos-Hayward, certified perimenopause health coach, former world champion Latin dancer, best-selling author, and founder of This Isn’t a Diet. After years of extreme dieting, overtraining, and struggling with her hormonal health, Morgana completely transformed her relationship with her body and built a business helping ambitious women do the same. We talk about what it really means to work with your feminine biology, how hormones influence everything from energy and weight to business performance, and why empowering women is just as important in sales as it is in health. Here’s what you’ll learn: Why traditional diet culture was built around male biology and how learning to work with our hormones can completely change the way we approach healthHow blood sugar, cortisol, and estrogen can contribute to stubborn hormonal weight  and why eating less and exercising more isn’t the answerHow habits like intermittent fasting, coffee on an empty stomach, and skipping breakfast, affect your energy and hormonesHow Morgana uses cycle syncing to plan her meals, movement, creativity, networking, and even different areas of her businessThe simple biohacks Morgana recommends for busy, ambitious womenHow Morgana and I moved away from “bro marketing” and high-pressure sales tactics to create a sales approach that leaves women feeling empowered, supported, and genuinely excited to say yesIf there’s one thing I want you to take from this conversation, it’s to find one way to pour into yourself before you spend the day pouring into everyone else. Start small, whether that’s a slower morning, a nourishing breakfast, or simply giving yourself a few minutes before opening your laptop. How to Sell Without Feeling Pushy

Today on CEO Sales Sessions, I dive into a question that sits at the heart of how I approach sales: how do you sell without feeling pushy, scripted, or icky? I share my perspective on what ethical, sophisticated sales looks like in 2026,  especially in a world where buyers are more discerning than ever. We’ll talk about moving beyond rigid scripts, how to listen more deeply, and the path to creating buying conversations that feel human, natural, and rooted in genuine service.  Here’s what you’ll learn: Why rigid sales scripts often create distrust and why knowing the structure of a conversation is more powerful than memorizing exactly what to sayHow pushy tactics and overly strategic questions can actually increase buyer resistance instead of moving someone closer to a decisionWhy the best salesperson is often the one who talks the least and how to base your conversations on deep listeningThe “map” I use for buying conversations: how to understand where someone is now, where they want to go, what’s standing in the way, and whether I can genuinely help them get thereWhy your offer shouldn’t feel like a pitch, but rather the natural next step once you’ve identified the gap and established that you can helpWhy ethical selling sometimes means telling someone you’re not the right fit, and how that honesty can strengthen your sales in the long runI believe that sales isn’t something we do TO someone, it’s something we do FOR them. Take this episode as your invitation to stop performing and start selling from a place of true giving. If you loved this conversation, I want to hear from you! How to Build Brand Partnerships That Last with Amanee Nassereddine

Are you ready to build strategic brand partnerships that increase revenue, fuel sustainable growth, and help you scale with intention? In this episode of CEO Sales Sessions, I sit down with powerhouse relationship-builder and Chief Brand Officer of the Run the World team, Amanee Nassereddine. Amanee has built partnerships with elevated brands such as The Ritz-Carlton, TD Bank, Holt Renfrew, Square One, and the City of Mississauga, and today she shares how she identifies aligned brands, builds win-win proposals, and fosters long-term relationships that go far beyond a single event or transaction. This conversation is for the female founder who wants to create an aligned community where every person feels supported, valued, and empowered to grow. Keep listening to hear: How to choose partners that align with your brand vision instead of chasing visibility through collaborations that look impressive but aren’t strategically alignedAmanee’s ALA framework and why listening should make up the majority of every partnership, outreach, and sales callThe open-ended questions that reveal a company’s goals, pain points, and priorities so you can build an offer around what matters to themWhy a “no” is often simply a “not yet,” and how adjusting the opportunity can create a pathway toward future growth, revenue, and a long-term collaborationHow genuine follow-up, thoughtful communication, and consistent relationship-building can turn corporate contacts into trusted advocates for your businessMore content, visibility, and sales calls won’t automatically create stronger partnerships. The best collaborations are built by approaching intentionally, listening deeply, and creating an opportunity where everyone at the table can win. What’s your biggest takeaway from this episode? Why Your Numbers Are Your Most Powerful Business Tool With Jami Monte

Too many entrepreneurs treat bookkeeping as a year-end obligation, when it should be a tool for making smarter decisions about hiring, spending, compensation, and profit. Today, I’m joined by CPA, financial educator, founder of Chillbooks, and fractional CFO, Jami Monte, to discuss why getting close with your numbers is the key to running your business confidentially and strategically. Jami is passionate about helping solopreneurs gain money clarity and she has a gift for making bookkeeping feel less like punishment and more like freedom. This conversation is exactly what so many business owners need as they step into that next level.  Here’s what we cover: Why knowing your numbers gives you the freedom to make better decisions about your time, team, and business growthHow proper bookkeeping, categorization, reconciliation, and sales tax tracking can help you keep more money in your pocketWhy relying on your accountant to clean everything up once a year keeps you reactive instead of empoweredHow reports like a monthly profit and loss statement can reveal revenue patterns, spending trends, and what's actually moving the needleWhat founders need to know about claiming business expenses, understanding grey areas, and documenting write-offs properlyHow to separate your personal and business finances, plan your cash flow, and build the habit of paying yourself consistentlyThis episode is an incredible reminder that bookkeeping isn’t just about staying organized for the CRA, it’s about becoming the kind of CEO who knows what’s happening in their business and can make decisions based on facts instead of fear.
